Stao do you think there would be much benefit for me to change to your new profile? As noted I will be heading back to the dyno soon so I should make the most of it.
-
I thought you were running a DET, not a VET?
-
I cant get VCT working unless I buy a VCT intake cam and a new VCT solenoid and gear. I have previously had too much hassle with getting VCT to work in my SR so I threw it away and put non VCT cams in my car. I am very happy with the delivery as it is anyway. Going to keep it as is and just want to go finish my tune. Man there are a lot of people out there with your highflows who use their cars for PROPER motor sport duties. That is crazy
-
Apparently I cannot post in this thread. lol. EDIT OH NOW I CAN.
-
LOL 115 thank you very much! As a response to this comment I have emailed unigroup about a time to bring the car in and amend the tune I will see if it can be done on a Wednesday so I can make the most of the trip
-
LOL that's the spirit. P.S. I would say we dream about the same things, but if you were dreaming about my wife I would be worried. So for now it will have to be just our R33 dreams, for reason I can't recall.
-
LOL no no, because of a reason he can't recall Why not super 99? Because of reason cannot recall.

I only have a shimmed stock VLSD and normal street tyres on mine, so a big dirty burnout like that was more likely to cook the oil in the diff or make the tyres really greasy lol What was really fail for me is that I had good traction on my first 2 runs but had bad boost cut, and on my cleanest run I spun like an idiot lol.
-
LOL Do a little one Matt. Just enough to get the crap off your tyres and get a tiny bit of heat into them. The drive back from the end of the strip is through the burnout patch so you pick up heaps of shit box grubbyness and bits of rooted rubber. Just do a little one to get SOME heat into the tyres and clean the crap off. Don't pinch the brakes too hard though, or you will fry the VLSD like I did on my 13.0 pass Single pegged off the line.

*buys 82HTA* *gets asked why changed from 76HTA*

Knowing that is 10mm more compressor on a comparable dyno to 34GeeTeeTee makes me all jittery. That 40kw advantage is shadowed by the outright potential of this thing... And look at the way it aggressively stands up at the 3.7 mark and does a pretty decent job of holding on to its torque too. That must be freaking scary to drive. I am very jealous. Good work sky30.

Am not sure what turbo or fuel is used in that graph. The delivery looks good and its making a lot of power. I would be more inclined to say its an SS1PU on E85, rather than an SS2.

Oh right my bad lol I saw a question and auto replied lol didn't realise the question was aimed at someone specific about a specific comment made. All good.

No one has reported these yet. Based on Lithiums experience I anticipate they will be worth trying. Refer to the last few pages for SR20 TD05H 16G6 results. I believe it would be reasonable to compare a GT2860RS (disco potato) to a -5, therefore you should be able to come to a reasonable conclusion as to how a pair of these will compare to a pair of -5s. I am saying it will be REASONABLE though, not exact. To my expectations the 16G6 is far more potent than a disco. It will spool similarly but probably more aggressively while also flowing more outright power. Remember that the 16G6 is a tiny trim big compressor, whereas the 60RS compressor is a tiny compressor in a mega trim. There are lots of factors to be considered.

Those injectors have been used by lots of people and work well. Most results I have seen are E85, so I cannot vouch for how good they are on petrol. Yes they are a plug and play. I would consider these to be a mid spec injector, they aren't water guns but they aren't no injector dynamics stuff either. They would be as good as the DW in my books. That being said if you are running a powerFC or Nistune (or other entry level ecu) you may want to consider a smaller injector to retain idle quality. If you are running something like a Haltech, Viper, Link or Adaptronic I would not be concerned and would say go for it. Otherwise stick to 1000cc as a maximum (I went 850s specifically because I am running a Nistune, otherwise I would have got the 1200s).

Individual temperature probes on each exhaust runner (off the head). Hotter is leaner. Simple as that.
-
Keen to see those results :-)
-
That will work well with the right cam. >300kw
-
I would want to see results of that Stao I have an R33 build coming up which will definitely be getting a hypergear turbo. The results of that housing will help me decide which turbo.

The Tomei 740s should support over 350kw so beware your reasons for changing.. As for where to buy the Deatschwerks the cheapest place will be their website. If you need 1000cc injectors and are looking for a buget option try the Five_O motor sport injectors. They are similar in principal to the DW items and also work well. I am using the 850cc items and they are faultless. You can buy a set on ebay for under $700 delivered, direct bolt in for an RB25.
