We've seen 370 from a 3076R a number of times on this forum, even 380 IIRC... Lith posted one which was a 52T, also up at that level. There are often reasons beyond the turbo itself why some of us can get there and others can't. John, I know the talk yet still believe the results are within reason. Not 20% variance or anything silly like that.

For what you would get from a GTX2863 on an RB25 I honestly believe you would be better off with a simple 2IU highflow from Hypergear. User feedback on the 2IU is hard to overlook, some guys have used it for serious track and hillclimb duties to great success and response is what you would want it to be. Its just too much effort to put on a 2863 with an unknown guinea pig rear housing when under $1,000 will have your stock turbo bolt back on LIKE STOCK and make the same 250rwkw mark with awesome response too.
-
The kando highflow is not tried and tested yet, but is the only one in their range which will bolt up. Your best bet is to send your shagged turbo to hypergear and get someone that many people have bought and know its good. Bear in mind you cant just slap the thing on and wham get 250kw. You will need an ecu and the rest of the supporting mods.

Glad to see newer members are making good use of the discussions we've had on this forum Powertune have managed 400kw from a couple of SR's with GTX3076Rs. AFAIK their dyno is not super high reading or anything, its fairly well trusted. That being said I would say there is definitely 400 in one on an RB25.

I really wish I could get my hands on Martin's car.... I would love to pull the motor and just reassemble everything bit by bit.. Its GOT to have a f**king problem.
-
VQ is still sitting on workshop floor, but we have since turned back to utilising the existing SR instead Wanting something more brutal than linear.
-
Calls it his 10mm zoom lens. It's the only way he can stop the ladies from laughing. OMG DOES IT DO INSTAGRAM?
-
LOL sounds good. With my above mentioned upgrade to my SR we will see what a stock gearbox can handle lol im looking at a little more than 300kw, if things go ahead.
-
Spend the 10k on a 1 off 9s pass, whip the life out of baldy, sell his RX7 for 20k and get double the hooker action (not into drugs).
-
Ahk, up to you. Stock cams are not so bad (when your not boost limited lol). What's a 5 bar worth? Surely a worthy addition?
-
Sounds mickey mouse. On E85 the sensor shouldn't hold you back too much, safety margins will be in place from the fuel alone to let you push beyond the absolute MAP reading. Looking forward to seeing what its got. Hopefully big spool and 300+ at the hubs.
-
A birdy told me that one of our SAU commoners saw 300+ at the hubs from his stock E9 turbo on 25psi (TD05HR-16G6 for those unawares). I am also in talks with Stao to consider a high flow small inducer turbo for my own SR, the thought itself came from the 16G6 wheel which is a 50 trim 68mm wheel Thus I will be very keen to see your said 16G6 results also. Don't be shy with the boost though! It should be great.
-
LS2 would be the cheapest and easiest. They should hold what you want too.
-
Me? No. Still got the shimmed diff which feels uber tight when you're cruising and has more or less the same LSD effect it had prior when you jump on it.
-
Very nice mate! When does this all start to happen, RPM wise? I would have to agree that 3" is too small for any part of the exhaust when reaching for those power limits.. 500kw is basically 4" TBE zone.
-
Don't shim the diff. I put a .8mm shim in mine and its disgustingly tight... But the sad part if its just meshing the spider gears together, and making it jam at low speeds. The actual LSD coupling has little to no ability to be preloaded in the grand scheme of things. A pointless mod causing only discomfort IMHO.

Thanks for the info. The EGT in this Shitma is cruising at the 600 mark, and an extended poke definitely reaches for the 900 mark. Thus the issues.

65Mm Pistons - Ie Stock Bore For An New Rb26 Block
GTScotT replied to djr81's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yamaha* lol Toyota make shit too hard to fiddle with... Nissan is made for less than artistic brutes like us. If only they had sorted their f**king RB's a little better lol -
This is one of the issues my brother has had with his 3076R setup. We're looking at more robust and cheaper options now.

Up the front of the motor on the exhaust side 25s have a little 2 bolt drain pipe. -

You should just get yourself a NEO head Simon inherit VCT and a lovely drain all at the same time. -
Repair and replacement is one of the issues, for sure. The motor is just not great for the application and EGT is quite high when pushed, melting the plastic bearing cages with ease. Despite mega particle filters being run in line were also having issues with oil contamination. None of this covered by warranty or necessarily rebuildable. We are tired of buying cores. Just going to opt for something a little more robust (in theory) and cheap to repair/replace. JB fits turbos fit the bill, PT is one of the decent options (to make some power).
-
Fair enough. Bro's sigma may be getting a 6262 as it still falls reasonably within his budget (chancing a JB). The set up is too rugged for a finicky DBB item (particularly a garrett, hes killed a few). At the same time I am starting to consider the higher end of the power scale for myself, but I can see your faith lies more in the 82HTA which I was expecting. I am just fearful of the price, at over $1,000 more landed its a big investment. There is a lot of love for the 6262 on an angry SR, but they are easily cracking 500kw; somewhat more than I am aiming for yet the lag difference between that and the smaller variants are more than acceptable. Anyhow, back on topic. Get me on FB if you want to deliberate a little further.

Where do we think a 6262 would fall in here? Am trying to plan a few things, your opinion would be valued and I think that would be a good addition to this topic anyhow.
