  1. Lol! Shipping from China? im guessing half your production cost is shipping low volume material to aus before you can make your product and sell to us.
  2. Lol was your Chinese counterpart happy with the sportage kit? Going to order many?
  3. I agree with the above. The L2 20G is a fairly efficient item where it gets close to its maximum flow without the need of E85. Dont need to convert to ethanol to get the right power out of it.
  4. I thought the 56T compressor didn't make any extra power? I could be wrong, I wasn't looking for a power gain when I saw the result..
  5. When you deck the block and head, or run a different gasket, or even just run certain brands of cams you need to set them back to true zero. The belt will throw out the position as the distance from cam to crank changes with those mods. You need to degree them to find true zero and then you can dial them for 'gains' on the dyno, knowing where true zero is. Otherwise you could chase your tail for HOURS on the dyno trying to find something that works, which you may never.
  6. wasn't your tuner able to diagnose this on the dyno? I can have a guess and say it was your............... wheelnuts? I mean it was on the dyno... why couldn't the tuner work it out? Its almost impossible to guess what did it without getting you to check nearly everything including the wheel nuts, but it would have taken said tuner under an hour MAX.
  7. If your planning to have a bigger setup later down the track there is no risk. You will need a large intercooler for anything over 300whp regardless, and by throwing the term RB30DETT around I am assuming you are going to end up with about 500whp. In which case you should have a good sized cooler. You will notice a minor drop in punch from the stock turbo when going to the large cooler but nothing you wont be happy to live with under the circumstances. Do it.
  8. VCT side is adjustable from stock boys. Hanaldo you will just need an exhaust side gear. Trev amazing that you had to skip a tooth to get it right. That is just whack. Hanaldo why don't you get Stao to update your G3 to the newer small trim compressor before you hit the rollers? Seeing as you're on the job already you may as well do it once and do it right.
  9. it depends how far off they are. if its only a small move it should be fine.. Anything more than 5 degrees and I would be very wary. I moved my exhaust cam 8 degrees once (accident) and the car ran SUPER lean, had no power what so ever.
  10. More than enough for the type of tyre it is. Street tyres don't need much.
  11. Pretty close to spot on Jay-rod. 340hp at the crank and aprox skyline weight should do 12.2 and 110mph as a theoretical best. You do have more than that at the fly but this is using a formula to work it out. I think if you were to be doing 112 or so your HP would be spot on for expectations. So your results are good.
  12. Agree. I paid a good machinist to do my bores for this exact reason. Am using CP's in an SR and they are dead freaking silent.. They measured the pistons themselves and determined the bore size from there. I've heard enough SR CP slap stories to last me a life time. Cheap shit builds.
  13. Stao I hear that car is exactly like mine
  14. Oh hey guys, I found this cool video online. Apparently its an SR20 with an SS1PU. Enjoy. Powered by VideoBam - Free Video Hosting
  15. save your money and get an adaptronic through hypergear. if you buy a turbo at the same time i think he charges around 1100? something like that. amazing value considering it does away with the AFM and is a very capable ecu. get your turbo highflowed if you havent already and a set of five_o injectors off ebay and provided you have the other basics already you have yourself an awesome upgrade. I use those five_o injectors and they appear faultless so far. no soot, perfect AFRs and plugs get a perfect burn on them.
  16. Have a video, car has zero traction though. Will upload when I'm near a PC again.
  17. A dud regulator can give you a consistent drop in fuel pressure and resultant AFR. check your fuel pressure asap
  18. Try your type A non FNT housing first. I think that will be faster on the drags.
  19. roflmao i hate seeing packaging plastics too, f*ck that shit off!
  20. Fingers crossed mate.. We all go through this crap at one stage, don't feel too bad.
  21. IMO an R33 GTST is the best budget build type car. It comes with the strong gearbox, good brakes, good motor and is a proven good performer. All the fruits. OK its no GTR to look at, and doesnt have rev dump AWD running gear but its also much cheaper to acquire and maintain because it DOESNT have those features to it. GTR's are a money pit and are unreliable. Plus working with a GTST will mean you actually go to the drags with the plan to use some skills, rather than button bash gran turismo. Rev dump flat change brake.
  22. Now, me and the mad scientist got to rip apart the block... and replace the piston rings you fried.
  23. Stao these are the ones I prefer to use: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/WHITELINE-PINEAPPLE-RINGS-SUBFRAME-BUSHES-DRIFT-DRAG-S13-S14-S15-R32-R33-R34-GTR-/330900295198?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4d0b31ce1e&_uhb=1#ht_2778wt_1163 Have recommended such fixes to other friends which also helped a lot.
  24. He's getting axle tramp as said which wouldn't be helping things. Stao as reference if you aren't running pineapples already you should get onto it asap. My S14 has pineapples and does not tramp at all, while friends who don't have the pineapples tramp like mofo's.
