  1. Yes the splitter is still in the manifold, and then there is a gate tube which merges it before it gets to the turbo. Need to consider that the gas that goes through the manifold would pressurize the gate tube and pose a restriction on its flow path to the turbo. If it was after the merge it would be a completely different story.
  2. 1. thats good to hear, so test that its still got good consistent fuel pressure, especially under load on the dyno. 2. realistically that accounts for nothing. remember he made the adapter himself, so his could have been a few mm different to yours which could make all the difference. I also recall he had a different size WG tube, but am happy to be corrected. You should also note that he ran it on an RB20 with a completely different turbine housing and wheel, which changes everything. Am still dubious.
  3. These are my 2 concerns. When you installed the pump did you ensure you left the fuel dampener in place? AFAIK the rear dampener is in the tank, in line with the pump (but i could be wrong). Double check this asap. Im also dubious of the gate off the manifold. Because it branches off at the splitter I'm worried that the flowpath is disrupted by turbulence/reverberation from the WG tube going from one side of the splitter and back to the other. I know people will bawk at me and say no way, but i say yes way definitely possible. Remember the manifold has a true split up to that point, with exhaust pulses mixing at the pinch point when you blow a hole in the splitter. In this case mixing in the WG tube which doesnt extend at all beyond the split. Neg. The turbo is a simple item, simple known working combo (unless it has shat itself which I doubt).
  4. When they are big waves it is somewhere in the tune (be it TUNE itself or mechanical tune state of the motor ie faults) When they are small sharp waves it is normally the dyno sheet resolution. Once you compress the sheet it looks smoother. In Dori's case its anyones guess right now. Could be spark breakdown, bad CAS signal, bad fuel pressure, poor WG control or clutch slip. Right down the bottom of the list I would say potentially a shit tune, but that is like..... Last option. Make sure you have constant fuel pressure, double check both your dampeners are still in place, make sure your CAS wiring is still good and double check your clutch isnt letting go. If all of those come back perfect I rekon you have a turbulence issue in the hot side. If only you could borrow ARTZ manifold and housing to test.
  5. At the moment (with your low boost and slipping clutch) its also matching you for response (sad panda). Yet you will probably also nearly match it for power (IMHO), yet who knows... Maybe the new clutch and much more aggressive boost curve once fully tuned will yield more midrange I'm pretty sure you will get close to 290kw with the thing, your most way there and still 5psi off target.
  6. 1. make plate steel in shape of 3" flange 2. drill 1.5" hole in middle 3. bolt on somewhere towards rear of exhaust in place of a gasket 4. insta shutup.
  7. Its common for people to have E85 based issues, the fuel takes on water very quickly and is prone to it when stored. That goes for in the tanks at the servo too, remember that not many people run flex fuel cars so the fuel wouldnt sell super quick nor get restocked super quick either. Remember also that Caltex eflex is a varying content fuel, meaning without a content sensor type ecu and appropriate tune you would want to be buying the CSR shit in barrels **No offense to people on the eflex bandwagon!!**. My personal theory is to stay 98 till eflex goes mainstream, then i will get a content sensor ECU and go balls out. Just as an FYI, ARTZ failed results are currently on par with hypergears FNT G3. The boost does come on 500rpm sooner, but it doesnt appear to be making any extra power at this stage (midrange). Hopefully a stout boost up once his clutch is fixed will change that, otherwise HG may have it in the bag (remember ARTZ and Stao use the same dyno/tuner).
  8. E85 Strikes again lol
  9. May is two whole months away, r u serious? lol
  10. If you remember Mick_O's midget with a trumpet saga, I was actually there the day it was diagnosed (I actually found the midget lol) His car was still pissing in 300kw with the IM gasket blown between the plenum and the runners, in fact when it blew right out I dont think it was really that down on power. Boost curve didnt look right (coz it was trying hard to compensate) but other than that power was still there. Im inclined to think you have some sort of a turbulence issue. It would be really good to see ARTZ crank 19psi right now...
  11. Maybe I underestimates the actuator issue. Have you called Stao about the flapper seizing? I have read about that sort of thing happening elsewhere.
  12. Its got to be leaning out, something is failing. R u sure ur fuel pump isnt letting go?
  13. You have access to this new RB25 and you even ask? lol RB25 UP!!
  14. Kind of how a civic with a blown head gasket on cylinder 3 has the same harmonics as an EJ20? Sounds awesome, till you realise its not. lol.
  15. Mine is also pretty tame normally, but on the track it was rolling out MASSIVE dragon shit at some stages. It had to do with how rich it was running, after a few consistent laps and a bad rad cap my water temp went a little high and the ecu was compensating with fuel. Shame nistune doesnt have decel enrichment Awesome flames!
  16. lead pipe works better flames are awesome.
  17. LOL Nice! Wish I could be there for that. Get your game face on! Kando Vs Hypergear!!
  18. How come? You wanna go for a schpinn? You can call ARTZ, his is running and making an awesome 267kw at only 1 bar and with a failed clutch
  19. Stao which G3 model would you recommend for an RB30DET? (older .82 model or FNT revision) Assume it is a slapper aiming for a very punchy 300rwkw. Will be heavily tracked.
  20. I can vouch for Jez, he makes sure his customers got what they paid for.
  21. IMHO he owes you a refund. You have paid for more than you received and you cant have the car off the road forever waiting for him to resolve his own issues. As much as its an unfortunate situation he should be willing to invoice for what he HAS done (not 90%) and refund the remainder. If not 'do ma con cac i kill u' and see what he says then.
  22. I'd get him to invoice for his time to date and move on. Doesn't sound like fun, id totally be pissed. Then you can get son of rajab DVS JEZ to tune your Kando the great, and everyone's happy.
  23. With those steampipe manifolds now available its definitely the way to go I agree Hanging it off the stock manifold is for the UBER tightarse tho.. Like yourself Dave lol
  24. If your chucking one out please PM me and I will come pick it up. Just need some random bits out of the head. Thanks,
