  1. I have been running a coolingmist stage 1 kit in my hilux with the controller added in now and wideband aem a/f (3.4l v6 trd supercharger) for ages now. Ive tried running water, water/meth, meth back to back and its all good in a nutshell. Water actually removes more heat than meth but meth gets rid of heat faster. I'm super interested in trying nitro in small quanities but still have a lot to learn about using more and more meth. I have found more and more meth (bigger injector and now trying 80/20 mix) just seems to keep adding in hp. I picked up 30hp just from adding in the original kit with the boost switch only. Its awesome stuff. Methanol is easy for me to come by but for the guys starting out the 50/50 mix is great. My bro bought the basic kit to add onto his car as a safety buffer zone for the track only. Check out this link for a brief overview of water/meth systems. Its a bit cheesy but its pretty simple and makes perfect sense. You guys could have used it a few pages back by the looks of it. Bit of experience with these kits tells me that the coolingmist ones seem to be the best with aquamist a close second (coolingmist has a better controller IMO mapping from not only boost but can use 0-5v from afm if you still have one). Devils own/AEM ok but $$$ not as good as the first two and snow kits are probably better left alone.
  2. Each to their own but AA were very good to me during my engine builds and i couldn't ask for better service. Also gave up a weekend to put together a new engine for our modified drag car when it threw a leg out of bed a few seasons ago. That is good customer service. If we are doing for and against for different shops I'd like to put one against A.D.S as they were f***ing useless. Broke one of my JUN cams ( Then proposed we go halves on a replacement) And when i said that wont be good enough they went ahead and ordered one but they ordered a 272 to replace my 264 and then shimmed the head up to suit the wrong cam while they were at it!!!!!!!! While i was changing the cam to the correct one i found that they had chewed out the thread on one of the bolts that hold the cam in and it was hanging by a thread and on top of all that they charged me a motherload to get the rest of the work done. I will most certainly be avoiding them in the future because charging me more than the agreed price because they had problems that THEY CAUSED in the first place and then i find out they have replaced the broken part with whatever cam they could find for the right price just isn't good enough.
  3. Applied Autos in maddington. Good guys, Lots of experience and decent prices to boot
  4. This i agree with 100% mad082 it seems to me that you are unable to see other peoples point when they start attacking the use of speed cameras. They are suggesting that speed cameras dont save lives so the government should be focusing on something that does. It seems obvious to me at least that its all about the money. If they really wanted to stop accidents on our roads they would be persuing an alternative means and not just adding in some more speed cameras because more isnt the answer. When police have said speed was a factor it doesnt mean speed was the main factor or the reason the accident occured. Therefore its fair to assume that if the driver had been speeding or not that the accident would have occured anyway. In my eyes greater skill and better vehicles is the best way to improve road safety.
  5. Friend put a rb25 into his vs many moons ago. It was a good car and the conversion isnt that difficult. Your talking vl crossmember custom gearbox crossmember and a new tail shaft for the mechanical side. Hydraulic clutch for hydraulic side. Wiring and piping. However when he was finished he was left with basically a r33 gtst. (performance wise) So maybe its not worth it.
  6. Ill get a price tomorrow Its in its box - next time your better off PM'n me i cant check this thread every day.
  7. +1 GTRNUR I had almost identical marks on a RB25 that i pulled apart that had a knock (or so i thought) - Turns out i had lost part of my compressor wheel. If i had to guess you have had a slighty bigger particle or particles that have been in there at big rpm and have been enough to damage the bearings.
  8. $250 plus postage and you can have it - got a postcode ? ill give you a price
  9. $300 Brand new in box bought as a set using a different one now. Requires machining and upgraded valve springs n092r
