  1. Chook, Vin WGNC34 106106 Model TGKNRXAC34UDA--AA- I had a go in FAST and man I get lost... I had a similar screen to what you had but I couldn't do it a second time. But I think there are 2 numbers to choose from 90896-0V300- or 90896-0V302- ... am I close? Antony
  2. Duncan, I wouldn't mind the tailgate badge missing from mine. 84815V the 25tXFOUR badge. Can you convert that to a Nissan number I can use. I just noticed all the badges in the "F" group have the same number? Antony
  3. yeah I was told it would... but could be miss informed... I got it as a diagnostic tool and being a geek I just wanted to have a look. I think the average person would find the jaycar speedo corrector very useful.. it's very cheap. In the rally car I have 3 sets of different tyres and profiles... the rally tyres, slicks and normal road tyres. it takes no time to click to the setting corresponing to what tryes I have on and it is spot on. ant
  4. Very easy to calibrate with a GPS or someone in another car that has correct speedo. Simple enough to build the kit... soldering iron, a coffee and about 1hour. Chook or someone should be able to tell you which wire to intercept for the speedo corrector... If someone could do a DIY on this setup I am sure quite a few people would be interested... especialy as most of us seem to be putting bigger wheels on our rigs. antony
  5. Same here... mine was out 8km/h compared with the GPS, this is with the 205/55/16. I now have 235/45/17 and it is almost right. I can recomend the Jaycar speedo corrector... I use it in the rally car and works very well. If you find someone with BlaZt software and data cable I am pretty sure you can calibrate the speedo... I'll tell you for sure when mine arrives. antony
  6. Agreed as well... I'd like to see the figures done in the wet. I had some wanker in a ? actually not sure what it was... small and front wheel drive very low and loud. Cut me off... next light I did the boy racer rev at the lights... I think he is still trying to get off the line. I don't think I have driven such a quick car in the wet that is as big as a Stag. Ant
  7. Brisbane 7:15am Grey or Silver (grey gloomy wet morning here) Toowong shops didn't see if it was a S1 or S2. Ant
  8. Can't tell you if there was a difference with km/litre. The car has done 80k km's and I thought I would just give it a new as I am sure I read somewhere you should change them at 40 or 50k (could be wrong). I did notice that it seemed to run a little smoother and I have the general feel it was a fraction better on fuel but nothing to back it up. antony
  9. On my holiday drive Brisbane to Kempsey and back. 10.9 litres per 100km BP 95 (9.10 km/litre) 10.3 liters per 100km BP 98 (9.68 km/litre) Both runs did the 540km trip in 6 hours overtook anything in my way ... and sat on a steady 110km/h in 100 zone and 120km/h in the 110km zone Stock S1 with Falcoon O2 sensor mod. Antony
  10. Ok found the details. Alan Huish at Huish Fabrications, George St Southport on the Gold Coast 07 5532 2922. Not used this guy... just spoke to him on the phone... nice guy very helpful. Antony
  11. as above... Prefer second hand with good tyres half tread or better and within a few hours drive from Brisbane area. Want to fill the guards but I will be towing. I don't mind rolling the rear lip if I have to. Antony
  12. I did the ring around Brisi as well and got various answers from "what is a Stagea" to no you will have to get that built ans engineered etc... no one quite as stupid as saying the car 's metal to thin. Lol what a laugh... but then again most of then would anly be used to bolting to a Dunndore or Falcoon and we all know they are built like tanks... NOT! I tracked down Andy at Southport. can do and has done a few Stagea'a but not able to engineer it for you but garentees it would pass if you got it engineered yourself... quoted me $450ish mark from memory. I have the details at work I will post them in the morning. antony
  13. Merry Christmass to all and a safe holiday. Hope Santa bring you all goodies. See you in the new year Antony
  14. A White sexy S2 on Newmarket Rd (Brisbane) heading east away from the Newmarket Hotel end @ 2pm. Tooted and waved.. not sure if I was seen Antony
  15. Great idea. Would be good if you could get a Liberty Wagon or 2 to blow away as well... very keen to see the results of this. Antony
  16. My 1998 S1 Stagea 25tXFour Antony
  17. I got exactly the same as Chook. Antony
  18. Cool let me know.... like how they use english and janpanese on there web sites ant
  19. Do you know how much? and is there a contact or website? ant
  20. Love the ute... makes me think.. what would a stag look like without the roof racks? anyone done this or seen it done? pics? Antony
  21. must have a little poke to step out that much... The car would be lighter and that would be a plus for sure... she looks the part as well... I'd say you got a nice car. As Ryan said get the VIN posted and FASTed... you may have a case if you where ripped... but get the facts first before talking to the seller. Maybe even legal advise if you where misled... it is $20K afterall. If you where going to offload it I would do it soon... seems to be heaps of Stagea's comimg in and the prices seem to be dropping and promote the fact it is a RWD some people like that idea... be a great towing wagon. It is easy to get stuffed around with an import with little knlowledge and keen to get your hands on it. I was told mine was a series 2 but then I got it so cheap it makes sense it was a series 1... $13K I handed over... would have been a steel if it was a S2. Antony
  22. Dato sounds good... I have a very big soft spot for the 1600... the mate who is importing the 1600 coupe has 2 dato's a 13B powered one and a clean shell stripped and primed ready for rebuild. I would love to build a 1600 race car again for Historic rallying. Not knowing your problem and I dont want to pry either... But I had a limited Cams liscence for rallying in the 90's at the moment I just have a S2. I lost my right eye and uper jaw/pallet and cheek bone to cancer in 1990... I also have Hyper tension (extreme hi blood presure) and I take 2 tablets a day for that and I was still able to get a CAMS Rally Liscense. oh and no I dont actually have half a head... if you saw me with sunglases you would never know.. and if saw me without glasses you wouldn't realise how much was removed and rebuilt... except for the obvious. Cost you tax payers some half a mill though.. oh I guess me too. Can't complain though.. if it wasn't for having cancer I would never have done motorsport and travelled the world and done a lot of things... maybe even buying the Stagea. Antony
  23. It handled quite well for a car that weighs sum 1650kgs... few people said it looked quite flat on the road. I didn't push it till it would slide but I did have it moving around a little. If my girl can get in and do 1:29's and never been to a race track... she had never put on a helmet in here life is a good indicator the car is naturally quick. I didn't want to manual shift the auto so I just did it in 2nd for a few laps till I was hitting the limiter before the breaking marker... so then I just drove it in "D". I naturaly left foot break so I just tried to keep it mooving instead of hard breaking and hoping it would shift to a lower gear. My suspension is standardish I think (not 100% sure) but it did feel that with good low setup and prepared to maual shift the box you would keep a few people very honest on the track. I just like the coments "what ist that again?" lol love it. Would love to get a Liberty wagon and a Volvo wagon maybe a Comodore and a Falcoon wagon's and have a shoot out... Probably find the Volvo might be the dark horse. Would be fun to see. Antony
  24. Yeah same... bit expensive but I guess it is a little rare. Anyone know what features it has? Ant
  25. Well by going by your name you are a dedecated 1600 man. It's been a while I'll try to remember something. I built the car myself... stripped to a shell and seam welded all openings. Fitted a Aluminium Cage... I shudder when I think about it now. A few extra strengthining bits. I had the bonus of the knowlegable Greame Julius who had a lot to do will rallying 1600's in there day. 1800 engine with the twin carbies. ballanced, port matched head, lighter flywheel. Greame did things to it and tuned it so there mabe things I don't know about and yeah as I said it 145Hp on the dyno that I do remember. 240K front struts with comodore inserts (can't remember the spring rates) Cant remeber the rear. Bluebird 5 speed with 4.4:1 and CIG locker I won 3 class motor khana regional chapionships and a class khana cross regional championships. Did some good rally finishes nothing near the podium but I did reasonable well. A great car... everyone should own a 1600 once in there life and do club sport. A mate has just bought a Datsun 1600 coupe 2 door from Japan... should be here soon. He is building a replica woprks car and wants to do Targa in it. Should be good to see. Antony
