well heres my view. No madder what import you drive or any performance vehicle you own. And no matter how stock it is or modified it is These cars will be targeted for one simple reason. That is they stand out and have a stigma attached to them that all the people that drive these cars are hoons even if there doing nothing wrong at the time when they are seen and pulled over. Far as cops are concerned i hold them in high reguard for one reason i would hate to do there job and deal with people they think they are picking on them and everything else like deaths and car accos ect. But some do seem to dislike nice / performance cars and target them unfairly but there are alot they like them and are enthusists themselfs Here are some things i have found that help alot and i mean alot 1. Address them as sir or mam to begin with works a treat 2. Be polite and most of all respectfull at all times. 3. Tell them straight up what mods are done if they are defecting you (only the ones that they can see) to shows you know about them and mention that you are getting them fixed which shows your not hiding anything and trying to do the right thing this lessons the defect or increases the time they allow you to get them cleared they can wave the fine also. 4. The most important one of all keep you car as close to legal as posible eg not rediculosely loud, low, big shiny chrome wheels things anything to make it stand out more than what it is. Stick to clean looking mods and you will be left alone more and one final thing you can not be deffected if your car is legal 100 % engineer it mine is not engineered at them monment but it will be and they can not defect you if they do you have a leg to stand on as far as loging a complant to they're supervisiers ect. These things help but it wont stop them defecting you if you in a place where dick heads are doing stupid shit or if they have be directed to go out and clear out the usual cruising spots where trouble happens. Every time i have been defected have been in these areas every other time i have been let free without anything more than a warning and most of the time not even that.

Hi all i got my r32 gtr and it is near impossible to keep the front windscreen fog free. The demister works quiet well but the fogging is on the outside of the window and i do beleive it is the heat of the motor fogging up the screen is there a way to adjust the bonet to help reduce this or a automotive product to stop this. It is quiet annoying.

I knew of 4 skylines at latchford barracks when i was down there with the army for 6 months if i was still down there i would meet up. I will be coming down in the next few weeks to see my mates down there if you like to organise something. There is a non turbo marron one, and r34, a white r33 and maybe acouple more at the other barracks.

I had no idea that he had his lights on also, if i had saw that they where on i would have said something and yes thank you very much to the block that lent me his jumper leads mine would have been a bitch to clutch start with the immobiliser but than again the bloke that lent me the cables he had left his lights on also lol

I would like to thank gemma and terry for organising this cruise it was awesome considering the weather. I would like to apploagise for not socialising more and probably spraying a few people with carbon lol as it is still on the run in tune (32 gtr UL05EN). And to top it all off i was a idoit and left my lights on and needed a jump start lol. But over all a exelent day cheers see you all on the next cruise

I have for sale my 1996 r33 gtst skyline located in newcastle for $12 000 ono Selling due to need a car that is more suitable for work. It currently has 130 000 km and is regularly services and maintained every 5000km and only good oils used. All other servicing is up to date. It has minor basic modifications including FMIC Electronic Boost controller Apexi pod air filter Olins coil overs dampener adjustable only front and rear strut braces turbo back exhaust and dump pipe The vehicle is also fitted with a mongoose M40 alarm system. It has a basic stereo system with a pioneer mp3 head unit with 6 inch jay car speakers in the front doors and and 6*9's in the rear with a alpine v power mono block amp and 12 in sub. Hi all i am no longer doing up my r33 now and going to go to a s15 or a evo so i am selling me power fc turbo and z32 air flow meter as well as the car. The power fc has no hand controller but looks like it is in good condition and i bought it off guilt toy about 6 months ago and it has never been in my car. Hyper gear turbo was bought of a bloke in Melbourne it is a r33 s2 turbo to my knowledge has no axail movement at all and was hi flowed apparently 3000 km before it was removed from the car and looks clean as and is good for 240 rwkw. The z32 air flow meter looks like its in pretty good nick to. Now i would like to sell everything at once and i am asking $1700 ono but i am willing to separate the items just throw me a offer i am in no rush to sell these i am open to offers but nothing stupid please. I am located in newcastle and will post at buyers expence. Pics will be up tomorrow afternoon.

LOL Mid life crisis is at least 25 years away for me lol but yeah i know where your coming from and yes i will have my house paid off before than hopefully. And yeah it is a good idea to park the car on a blind corner when its been wet and hope some hits it but than the question arrises why was it parked there lol i rather not have to worry about those sorts of questions. yeah mate that sucks ass about flogging it off to a mate and they are worth so much more than $6000 since they are a much better choice than say a commie or a falcon. With my situation as far as getting a loan for a car and a house loan is its not a problem i am in the very lucky position of having a very very secure job for the next 5 years and how ever much longer i chose to stay there and having a awesome credit ratting to with genuine savings history for the last 18 months so i am in a extremely good position financially. So yeah i dont know of course the best decision financially is to buy a house and putt my money into that however i am only 23 i havent been on a proper holiday in 10 years and i have never been oversea's so i guess i am looking to have fun with my money which i have never had before really before i lock myself in for such a committment as a house for now.

yeah i know about the house deposit i got a good size one now just shy of my 10 % i need but i am saving anywhere up to $500 a week so money is not a huge concern. And yeah i know the resale valve for skylines has hit rock bottom really my mates r33 is mint and had thousands spent on it even tho we are mechanics and made it heaps cheaper to do no one has called him about his car and his got $13 000 on it. I dont know as far as keeping the skyline and that is concerned i guess i want something abit newer and i am lazy and dont want to spend the time on the skyline i guess and i have no where to do work on it. I am still going down to sydney to have a look at a few s15's but thanks for everyones advice.

Hey all i am thinking about selling up my skyline i have had it for 12 months and never had any mechanical drama at all and the only issue i have had was when i was defected by the epa. It is a s2 r33 with 130 000 km and it is in pretty good nick and currently is putting out 175 rwkw. How ever it just needs a general tidy up and has minor hail damage here the list it will need for me to be completely happy with it. Paint front bar and guards. $500 Fix the big dints in the door looks like some has tryed to break into it. $200 Replace alarm as it is playing up. $450 sub and amp are out dated and sub is damaged from me putting a vcr through it lol. $350 or so Fitt the hyper gear turbo i have and power fc and z32. i already have these Buy injectors and fuel pump. $1100 And the last things i want to do is put a verex muffler on it to help out with the cops $400 Sett of new wheels and decent tyres $1800 to $2000 Now thats alot of coin to finish it but i also realise it doesnt have to be spent all at once. when on the other hand that money can be put towards a new car i would only sell it or trade it towards a s15 spec r gt. Now my question to you guys is what do you think the best option is to go for the s15 that is 5 years newer and cheaper to run and doesnt seem to get as much cop attention or keep the skyline and finish and it never be worth over $12000 to $13000 with all the work done but it will be a quick street car. Money is not a huge issue for me atm but i am aiming to buy a house in the next couple of years. I am going to go have a look at a couple of s15's this weekend and hopefully it can help make up my mind what does everyone think cheers scottie
