Hey people, I am currently having ABS issues with the unit leaking my brake fluid, I am running this poll just to see how many of you out there are suffering from the same issues and how bad they are? I've also added in responses where people can post whether they've fixed the problem by replacing with new, used or removal. I would like to know what people have done to try and fix the problem so post up what you've done and also post up if you're running brake upgrades like bigger rotors/callipers, master cylinder stoppers, braided lines etc. cheers!

  5. sounds to me like some of us are getting a little bit of a break, they're not cracking down as hard on skylines it seems? it probably helps when the cop see's that you're not an idiot.

  8. maybe the tune was a little out at the extra flow made the air flow better but the map points on the ECU may have been referencing a different cell? maybe a little fine tuning would be needed to take advantage of the better air flow? shouldn't it only make more power if there was a restriction? i changed my cat to a decat and lost power on a dyno, purely because it flowed that little bit better the A/F ratio was all over the place because of the extra flow.
  9. sounds like its just your boost controller, i had a bleed valve and it did the same thing trailed off maybe 1-2psi mind you i've got a GTR with -5's and stronger actuators, but the boost would peak at 19psi then trail off to 17psi but now i got a e-boost street and it holds over 20psi fine all the way to redline.

Hey Guys, just wondering whether people have used the Just Jap brand intercoolers for GTR's pushing more than 350rwkw i managed to get 351rwkw still using a stock R34 GTR intercooler on my GTR but i think it suffers a little from heat soak at that power level, its running over 20psi on -5's am debating whether to get a 100mm core just jap one?

  12. you're better off getting some from a R33 or R34 i've got some from a R34 Vspec which had 60,000kms on it i replaced mine because of the leaking issue, with the R34 ones i had no problems. i've since upgraded them to 660cc and now they're just sitting in the garage sealed up in a box.

  14. if you can afford a new ECU and retune then just replace it with a second hand item. there are plenty of people getting rid of their stock AFM's if you change injectors or AFM's to non stock item's you'll need a tunable ECU to run them as stock ECU won't

  17. i cant believe that there's been a few reported stolen in the last week? i'll have to test out my alarm to see if it is loud when set off. might get a club lock too? it's probably a group of punks on a drug high going around flogging skylines, low life scum. i hope they get what they deserve. i hope they hurt themselves in the crash!
  18. just keep the car looking stock or stockish so there are no obvious defects like bald tyres, BOV and being ridiculously lowered and you should be fine. also dont drive like an idiot, if your car is loud and your giving it to it they're gonna suspect that your speeding.
  19. it was probably trying to beat the land speed record on brighton road that a wine red Turbo VL Calais set a while back. i was out the front and saw this chump come absolutely flying past the house after turning off Jetty Road.
  20. i have had both a bleed valve and now an EBC. bleed valve was set to peak at 19psi and trail off to 18psi i ran just over 300rwkw with it. i now have a EBC and the benefit is that i can safely run 22psi without worrying about it spiking badly, and it holds peak boost better. as for faster spoolup i havent really noticed it too much. the main benefit with EBC is low vs high boost i can change by the push of a button, because traction is slightly better when running 16psi and putting out 280rwkw than 22psi putting out 350rwkw but the EBC did cost over 4x as much as a $100 bleed valve (incl. installation)
  21. i've got a 32 GTR and i had over 600kms which was steady country driving, and it was almost empty, 69L went into a 72L tank. normal driving i used to get 500kms regularly when i had 250rwkw, and i still get that know with over 300rwkw it just depends on my driving. if i go flat chat through the hills then ecconomy goes out the tail pipe as well as the flames! even with heavy foot driving i still get about 350ish kms to a tank.
  22. did it have an alarm or and immobiliser? this is why i refuse to park my car anywhere other than my garage behind chained and bolted gates overnight. sorry to hear
  23. i'm running 351rwkw in my R32 GTR with stock box and snorkel still hooked up. mods are: stock airbox with K&N filter nismo AFM's -5's turbos 660cc injectors Walbro fuel pump forged engine Recon'd head, Still stock Cams stock R34 GTR intercooler Turbo smart e-boost street mines dump pipes, aftermarket front pipe 3in cat back exhaust NISTUNE ECU tuned on 100octane fuel and boost is at 21.5psi it comes down to choice, i dont want the induction noise, or the attention from police when they see something not stock under the hood. under my bonnet the motor looks no different to the untrained eye that its different from a stock R32 GTR running 250rwkw

  25. just an update, the tuner called me and said the car made 351rwkw on 21psi i am picking up the car tomorrow and i'll post up a dyno graph of the results. i am not sure yet whether the snorkel was removed.
