i'm definitely in! the car is finished, pulled some great numbers with the new goodies on. it'll be interesting to see the difference, between rwd and awd! looking forward to saturday!

i have to agree, the first one would be the one to choose, i have a similar one on my R32 GTR and it sounds great! when i put the foot down it sounds awesome, but when at idle and low rpm i've been able to arrive at friends and family's house without them even knowing.

same here, mines still in the workshop being tuned and suspension upgraded. i'm hopeful i will have it sometime this week.

PFFFT NOT! i agree town has kinda gotten a bit scrappier with more idiots around, but i doubt that a curfew will make it any better, it'll just make more idiots on the street drunk instead of inside.

i have one of those off the shelf y pipes, i am not sure what brand it was. but it was one from car toys. the previous owner put it on there before i bought the car. the 3in cat back is pretty much all straight pipe with 2 mild bends to the 3.5in oval muffler. i did look into getting 2x RB20 afm's but considering that they're just as old as my stock ones and they're from different cars they may not read evenly and maybe be a little harder to tune perfectly. i opted for the nismo ones for the obvious that they're an upgrade, brand new & look stock. my missus car has leaned out and overheated making one piston crack, this is all due to the AFM. its a WRX btw. so i just didnt want my car doing the same because i was getting my car tuned past the AFM limit and given they're over 20 years old.

yeah the tuner did say that he tuned past them. i'm really wanting to get the turbo's really coming alive at around 20-22psi the jump from 15psi to 18psi was huge on those turbo's it seems the high boost is needed to really wake them up. R31Nismoid, do you think that the airbox would be able to flow 350rwkw? i am saying that number because of the intercooler and suggested exhaust would possibly be holding me back from more.

yeah, i still got that front intake snorkel. i'll get the mechanic to remove it when he changes the AFM's its good to know that the stock air box can still flow enough to get close to 380rwkw. i'd pefer to keep the GTR looking stock under the hood. cheers mate

hey guys, my mods are the following: fully rebuilt RB26 with forged internals recond head (done when engine rebuilt) R34 GTR intercooler Mines dump pipes & Trust y pipe 3in Decat 3in cat back exhaust 3.5in muffler 660cc injectors Walbro Fuel pump Nistune ECU Garrett -5' turbos stock AFM's & Airbox Bleed Valve set to 18psi last dyno run around 6 month ago 320rwkw & 18psi on 98 octane New Parts to come Turbosmart e-boost street Yellow Jacket coilpacks Nismo AFM's i am wanting to safely have a tune over that 320rwkw without having the AFM's maxed out will i need to install pods or modify my stock 32 GTR airbox to push the boost up to 20psi or more and try for 350rwkw. i heard that the R34 GTR airbox will flow 350rwkw, but will the stock R32 GTR one do the same? will 350rwkw be achievable with the mods i have without having to change anything else? also i am running 100 octane fuel now, and will be getting the tune done for that fuel.

yeah i'd look at the plugs or coils. i had 4 people in my GTR and it did the same thing up high, maybe around 6,000rpm. but with just 2-3 people or just me it doesnt do it. i havent had that many people in my car again so i cant tell you if my current tune is better.

this is a great idea, hopefully something can be made easily so that i could run e85 for track days etc and PULP 98 when just getting around town. i've been wanting to run e85 but the worst part in SA is that its only available from one servo. so if i wanted to take my car for a long drive away from the servo i would have to plan ahead and make sure i could get there and back on one tank. it'd be handy if i could just switch to a different tune and run e85 only when i want to really make some great power

i tried to open my wastegates when i bought my new turbo's. i couldn't , they turned out being 14psi ones because the turbo's were -5's. i probably could've done it somehow but i didnt want to break anything trying to pry them open just to see because they were brand new. but they've turned out to be fine.

reason for selling?

my tuner recommended the turbosmart e-boost street. he said it is good and easy to setup etc. that's the one i am getting put in my 32 GTR in a couple weeks.

i personally went the brand new yellow jackets for my 32 GTR havent installed them yet, my mechanic said that he hasn't had any problems with them yet. they do the job. my stockers arent having problems just yet, but its an 89, and i dont know how long they've been in there for? could be original ones for all i know? it depends on your budget, if you wanna spend the extra $200 on coilpacks and probably not notice the difference then go ahead, but i'd rather save it for something else.

why doesnt he just find a stock R32 or R33 and keep it that way? cops will find it harder to defect a stock car.

how the hell did you get an agreed value of that much?? far out, i should probably look at switching over. but i thought that for the first year you cannot make a claim? thats what made just car a little more appealing. i gotta get a higher agreed value, i got a rebuild and much more spent on my car than $17k its easily cost me over $35k incl. purchase for everything i've got on it. how did shannons go when it came to letting them know of mods?

yeah i got this one when i did microeconomics at UniSA Ken Adams sent it. kinda makes you wonder how accurate it is?
