After a long consideration, Im going with the 25 head and 26 bottom. A lot of extensive modifications have to be done to keep the 25 head. Its nothing much but just the time and effort spent on building the 25 head and the hectic measurements for the shims! Its just not worth selling the 25 head. Im planning to transfer all the 26 bottom parts to the 25 block. Ive measured and i think it most probably fit without issues..

Can the rb25 Power FC support the rb26? Does it run on the same sensors?

All parts were basically sitting in engine room. Cylinder head was only driven for less than 1000km till my oil pump gave way and wrecked my bearings. Ive purchased a whole GTR engine and im rebuilding my GTS everything from scratch again. Sigh.. Machining and the tedious job to measure shim precisely cost me a bomb! Ill stick with the 26 head. I really love the 26 from day one. But, financially at that point i couldnt afford a GTR. Titan, I dont understand the term u said on the VCT. Could u elaborate to me in detail I will be building this engine myself. Dont want to be mislead or screw the 26. Thanks!

Pratically im rebuilding my engine again due to my bearings that have given way. My engine is a RB25DET and ive just purchased a RB26DETT engine intending to use its block. Should i go with the RB26DETT or stick to my RB25 cyl head? Thing is, my head is prep with Tomei Cams, Valve Springs, Solid Lifter conversion, Adjust shims and ive spent quite a sum on machining and time to get it running. Ive a few questions below and would like some answers. If i would use the RB25 cyl head, will it be a direct fit onto the RB26 block? Do i need to purchase a new cyl head gasket to have it fit or just stick with the RB25? What should i do with the VTC? For the individual throttles, how do i make it fit into the RB25 cyl head? OR Should i just sell the damn RB25 cyl head and go with the RB26 and sort out all the fuss?

So, Mahle or Wiseco? =)

Alright..i just got a deal on a RB26DETT engine. Looks like my RB25DET crank was wrecked. Ive never seen such thin bearings before. Its more like sticking to the crank. Anyway, I'll be grabbing the RB26DETT engine and will only be using its block, and the individual throttles. I'll just go with you guys on the 26 rods. Thanks for your input guys!

well, think mahle shouldnt be a problem. Mahle makes oem pistons for most european cars as well.. just wondering, should i break my wallet and get a set of cheapos Eagle rods as well? Least they are better than stock rods..

Im deciding on these two sets of pistons for my RB25DET build. Im chasing a 450whp - 500whp on a RB25DET. Currently i have my valvetrain all set up by TOMEI and now it left the block. Im running a GT35R turbo which wrecked my oil pump and bearings. Im currently in a process of rebuilding the block with ACL bearings, keeping my stock rods, JUN oil pump, ARP bolts and thats it. Im using Wiseco on my BMW turbo and its all good but somewhere i read bout Mahle pistons and i think they are pretty good as well. Maybe better i would say. It comes coated. Here's a brief write up on them. The Mahle PowerPak is a complete, race proven piston assembly kit. It is composed of hand deburred, forged, performance coated pistons, high quality steel pins, round wire locks and low drag performance rings. Performance coatings include a phosphate dry lubricant that is used to protect against ring micro-welding and pin galling during initial startup and break in. For added performance, MAHLE applies its proprietary Grafel anti-friction coating to each piston skirt. Both prices are almost similiar. Just hope to get some advise here.

Im looking for a Q45 because my airflow reading is at max. Im currently using PFC and if possible i would like to upgrade the PFC to a FCON. Im searching for a complete set of RB26DETT plenum and runnersas well.

Anyone tried using the RB26DETT plenum and individual throttles for their RB25DET? Do i need an extended flange or any serious modifications to fit into a 25 head? Anyone selling? Cheers!
