I'm in wollongong not far from sydney. How much?
-
I hit a few too many rabbits with the inter cooler and now it's showing signs of leaking. I don't need any piping just the actual cooler. Please call me on 0434588114 if you have one.

Can anyone help me out or at least point me in the right direction?

I just had a look. I do have the washer bottle without the pump or bracket. It's also from a GTS not a GTR my bad. If the bracket is the same as the GTS and you can provide a picture of what it looks like then I may be able to match with a bracket that I have kept from the half cut. I have a box of all these weird R33 GTS brackets for fuel lines, relays and other stuff that I thought i may use one day.

Wtb Turbo That Can Get My Rb25det To 250rwkw
studricho replied to alwaysdreaming's topic in Wanted to Buy
I saw one on ebay today for $499 buy it now. The guy paid around $800 for it and it hasn't been on a car yet. I just had a quick look and I can't find it now. I was looking on my mates laptop so I don't have the search history on here. -
Hi all. I've noticed that this hose is very hard and now cracked leaking some oil into my lovely engine bay. If you know the part number for a new one or an aftermarket one I can get that would be fantastic. It also feels like there is a one way valve in it. It's the pipe that comes from the top of the T- piece on the tappet cover without the oil cap in it as seen in picture then goes to a pipe near the inter cooling piping. Any help would be fantastic.

I did have a washer bottle kicking around in the back shed and I may have slid the bracket on there too after stripping the half cut. I'll have a look tomorrow. Too cold now. No guarantee that I have one, just a possible might have one.

Thanks for reply Chris and yes it does help.

http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/privat...id=1285A18A8FEB I keep going back to this one on car sales. For the extra money I'm looking at the 260rs models.

That is sig worthy right there. That was almost as good as the trike of death.

Worst points -Too low of a seating position. Much worse now after back operation. Long distance kills me. -Not enough poke -Stigma that can come with Subaru's. People think that your trying to better than everyone else. -Pretty tight in the back seat -Fuel compensation don't much performance. Best Points -Very quiet ride. Even when the exhaust manifold crack sounding like tractor we had no idea it was leaking until people would stare at us. I eventually opened the window and heard the noise. -Awesome brakes and I like the hill assist feature. -Big boot (Iknow not as big as the Stagea) -Handling is so good. Best handling car that I have ever owned. -Nice finish inside and everything still works. What's gone wrong service wise? (69,000-255,000 klms) -Exhaust manifold dump pipe (?) cracked and covered by warranty -Front pads changed twice and disc machined twice -Rear pads once -Battery once -Timing belt twice (last time did all the pulleys too) -Normal oils and fluid changes -Rear diff bushes changed (Maybe cause it's lowered) -Camber kits fitted to car to help tire wear. -Clutch replaced recently -Hose to clutch cylinder replaced So that's what I'm trying to find out how good the stagea is. I know that the Stag has the best 6 in world in it already, just trying to work out the rest of the car.

I was working on a bike today in my workshop and I was having a good look at the dash for signs of it being tampered. All the screws at the back looked like they have never been touched until I noticed a bracket to hold the wiring in the wrong spot. I gave the dash a clean and you can see a smudge mark on the inside of the glass. I wonder how that got there?

I'm actually comparing it as an overall package to my current family hack 2001 Liberty RX wagon. When I really boil it down, will I be happy in a stagea as I have been with the Subaru?
-
Great advice guys so far keep it coming.. Stooge007 Wow, I thought the stagea would eat the GT liberty. Maybe I have be spoilt driving me RB25 Torana hatchback. That has awesome pickup..The fuel it uses isen't to far from the 2.5 4 banger liberty. How smooth is the drive though? Bubba Would it be better to try and get a stagea that hasn't be molested (Modified) or just make sure that if it has been modified then it has been done properly. What does the RB26 version go like? That's the version I keep getting attracted to. I can say to my wife that because we have two kids it wouldn't be fair to have a single turbo. What do you think my chances are?

I'm in the game of restoring CBR 250RR and I find the same thing with these bikes. Most (if not all imports) have been wound back I don't get involved in this sort of act as a moral stance although it' so easy to do. With the bikes there are so many tell tale signs that indicate how many klms are on it. There are marks for example on bolts that have been tighten from factory and this helps me identify the legitimate ones from the bad ones. What sort of things can you look for in cars for example that would be a true indication of klms even after the dealers magic shiny spray stuff? For example, would worn lettering on wiper stalks or worn pedal rubbers give you a rough idea on klms?

PM sent. Also what are these cars like when approaching or departing driveways or speed humps in standard height trim? Reason is that the suby we have is super low an it scrubs everywhere. To the point it has worn away most of the inner guards.

First and foremost, great forum and I did find all those great inks about buying a stagea. The story is that I'm looking at replace my wife 2001 RX liberty wagon with has clocked up 255,000 klms. It still goes well, but after driving my RB25 torana I want more stick in our family wagon. I even went and took a 2008 GT liberty wagon tuned by STI for a drive. What a disappointment! I handle very nice and stopped well (Brembo brakes), but it didn't have the punch that justified the $49K price tag. I did find out later that the STI version is basically a tart up of suspension, wheels and brakes no engine mods. Now, be honest. How good are these Stagea overall compared to the Liberty. Please bare in mind that my wife has clocked over 190,000 in the subaru and I don't want to here her whine about a stagea.. I would also like some relistic fuel consumption figures. I did speak to a guy (Adam from memory) who is selling a very nice example 260 autech version. He did say he gets anywhere between 400-450klm a tank around town. Also anyone that has installed an after market ecu have some accurate figures. I find a place in carringbah (Nagoya motors??) and these guys okay when it comes to stagea's? I've been looking on the net and there are too many heavily modified. I just want a manual, series 2 with the neo rb25. Not sure I can convince my wife why we need a twin turbo. And the fact I can't have my wife having a faster car than me..... Any feed back would be fantastic. Oh, Darrenspencer your killing me with the body mods that you have done to your car. It looks awesome.

G'day, I'm New Around These Parts. Need Help
studricho replied to studricho's topic in Introduce yourself
Just a small update... I've done nearly 30,000 klms since the car was registered. I'm really loving the engine package. Nothing much has change apart PWR alloy radiator after a hitting a kangaroo. Stupid animals. Working in Sale VIC so I may see you guys getting around soon.. -
The one and only Studricho at your service...lol
-
There you go. I did a build thread some where here too.
-
I know that it's only $109, but it's the fact that some one thinks that they can get away with it. I want the person responsible to admit and be punished for doing it. What would you do in my shoes? Would you be happy that your turbo has been sucking dirt, bugs and dust for 1,000 klms?
-
Okay, Basically i had my car repaired (UC Torana with RB25DET) at a local panel shop after hitting a roo. Now, I get my car back and a week later i decide to check my K & N filter (standard R33 airbox) due the fact driving on dirt roads. I find that there is no longer an air filter. I've traveled 1,000 klms since I picked it up. I know it was there and I have even a photo of the car in the shop from the assessor with evidence that it was there. They are claiming that it was never there and I must have taken it out. I've bought another one in the meantime, but I still need some help. Someone from the Sale area in a dark grey/silver Skyline took a picture of my engine bay after we had a chat about cars. His photo may show the missing air box abit more clearer. Also if anyone was offered or bought a stolen K & N filter to suit a R33 skyline I want to know. Not to get you in trouble, but whoever sold it to you in the first place. All this happened probably about 4-8 weeks ago. Any help would be great ad I don't want them (thief from panel shop) to get away with it.

Welcome to the forum and I'm in the same boat. I have UC Torana with a RB25det and 5 speed..

As per title my mate wants to sell these plates from his skyline. Not even sure what is worth or if anyone is interested. If you have an idea what they are worth then I can change the title with a price. If you are interested please call Muzz on 0407326389. I'm not trying to start a bidding war I just want to make sure that he gets a fair price and whoever buys them also gets a good deal.
