Hey all, So came out of work yesterday and found I had been defected while parked (arseholes) for not having a front bar, now i need a full roadworthy done, what i really need to know is my chances of passing (after the bar is put back on) as nothing except the interior is standard (forged, gt3076, power fc & avcr, bov, tein, fuel system in boot, ect, ect) I don't have any standard parts and am concerned that I am rooted? if I am does anyone know anyone in Hobart area that I can chuck say a BWS voucher to have it passed and pretend I just changed it back myself at worst??   4. and while i am at it, these can be mounted in tank but these are "push" type pumps does this mean you gotta have 1/2 a tank to work/ and is anyone running these in tank without any surge tank setup sorry about all the noob questions
  5. ok just wann know, when mounted so low does this cause any issues like hitting the bottom of the tank as mentioned above? and Why are you guys not concerned about not using a filter/sock? cheers

  8. oil seems ok and i doubt it is fuel that went bad over a few days since it was running as normal?

Ok, now my car wont even idle or start-up. recently lost my licence and havent been driving so i charged the battery and all was good, then about 1 week later i started it up and was running like crap (rough idle, black smoke, rich as) so i turned it off and tried again a few days later and it started and bounced around 300-500rpm for 10-20 seconds and stalled, black smoke and non burned raw fuel out he exhaust, f**k. now it will start barley, maybe idle rough for a while and stall? it is a series 1 r33 gtst with the folling specs: rb25det power fc avcr gt3076 555cc nismo injectors z32 turbosmart 38mm ultragate bosch 044 standard nissan coil packs 8.5 to 1 compresssion ratio ross pistons gtr rods turbosmart supersonic BOV ect. have checked for vacuum leaks, checked bov, and i am stuck. i have read other threads looking for an answer but most ppl seem to talk about stalling when you slam in the clutch and slow down which was happening to me too. i am guessing it has to be no spark and/or dropped cylinders as unburned fuel is coming out exhaust? or AAC valve? or bov issue, but that should be ok with powerfc? any ideas are much appreciated as it is driving me f'ing nuts.

Ok, after talking to a friend of mine who is a mechanic dosent look so bad, the loud blowing noise does go away after 1-2 secs and there is another noise for about 20 secs which this friend says could be normal cool down of the engine and i just wouldn't notice it if their wasnt an issue. cheers for tips on the turbo will rip intake off and check for shaft play ect have a feeling mf have been trying to rip me, everywhere love to say turbos gone without even looking, dogs. so hard to find someone honest who knows turbos in TAS all scaming dogs who are trying rip me. cheers
  11. just came home from work and more hissing FCK, dosent sound like its comin from turbo, its down lower but still hissing for quite a while after it turns off probably more that 10 secs about 20-25 is there no way this could come from another leak somewhere like BOV ect? dunno i got someone comin tomorrow anyway so i will keep youz posted. cheers for all the help guys Dirt Also if it was turbo spinning after it turned off how long would it stay on? And anyone know what sort of RPM a turbo spins at idle??
  12. Cheers, i will just change the gasket first and see if that fixes the issue, hopefully i dont gotta change/repair turbo, anyone had a garrett BB turbo die after 10 000- 15 000k? nissan just told me $80 but of course theres no stock in hobart as usual, cant get shit here it TAS.
  13. Does sound like a pressure leak (not quite like a gum leaf, less squeeky) more like blowing/hissing sound and no its manual.

Is this something that would happen to a newish garrett gt3076r turbo? its only around 10,000kms old? could there be any other cause for that sound like pressure releasing from somewhere else? hope its not the turbo as well as a leak as dont really wanna cough for new turbo or wait for it to be rebuilt. Hey, My R33 series 1 started making a blowing/whistling noise from around the turbo, it gets louder after the car is warm, sounds like some sort of pressure leak and is constant no matter the revs, when the car turns off the pitch of this sound slowly goes down over about 10-15 seconds until its gone. I am running a 3076gt turbo, avcr, high mount manifold and external wastegate among other mods which probably dont matter for this. Anyone with any ideas let me know as i couldn't find much similar on these forums, i am guessing in some gasket/exhaust connection but it is hard to track down where its comin from without taking it all off. Also some carbon/black dust around bottom/back of turbo area near the manifold. Cheers all
