  1. cumon guys, must be someone out these who could answer this question :-) maybe i didnt explain it well enough
  2. hi all anyone know where you can get this data from? Also the power figures. Did some come standard with RB20 engines?
  3. If a turbo engine is in good condition and you open the oil filler on the tappet cover, should there be any pressure in there or is it an indication of worn rings, allowing pressure to blow pass the rings and into the sump?
  4. is it possible to fit an RB26 crankshaft into a RB20 engine so as to stroke it? Soem one told me they have done it, but i am not sure if it would be true!
  5. hi all i am looking for specs, including kerb weight for the DR30s
  6. anyone know of sites that do have accurate technical data? especially kerb weight? particularly interested in the DR30 skylines.
  7. thanks for the replies guys.
  8. looking a buying this GTR and its an auto. would it be a genune GTR?
  9. what about the kurb weight figures for the R32 and R33 gts-t? 1260kg and 1390kg? Skyline R32 GTS-T RB20DET 1998cc DOHC 24 FI Straight 6 Turbo 160kw @ 6400rpm 263nm @ 3200rpm 7500rpm 1260 kg 6.49 seconds 14.63 seconds Skyline R33 GT-ST- RB25DET 2498cc DOHC 24 valve EFI Straight 6 Turbo 187kw @ 6400rpm 295nm @ 4800rpm 7000rpm 1390 kg 6.18 seconds 14.39 seconds
  10. Wondering how accuruate these figures are? The Supra and soarer kerb weight figures look too light to me. http://www.importforums.com/carsinfo.htm What do you think? Kev
  11. you can get just as much power from lpg if you tune it right. you need more timing advance and computer can take car of that and with the right installation you have a sub computer to control the lpg flowrate. as i said before lpg loves high compression (19:1) so it would work really well with hight boost. Also they can do lpg multi point injection now & it costs $4000
  12. What dont you like about LPG? Its like 50c/L
  13. thanks for the repies guys. I know some think its silly to consider economy with performance car, i of course if you out the hammer down you will drink heaps, but i need a car as a daily, fun to drive but with be easy on the wallet if i drive easy! Hense the question. One option i have concidered it to do an LPG conversion and then you can have the power and economy. LPG loves high compression and so you vould really boosts it. Just need a decent size boot to fit the tank.
  14. thanks for the feed back guys :-)
  15. thanks for the replys guys. I like a car that you can chuck into a corner Also fuel economy when crusing is important to me as well. One car i was looking at was a MA61 supra (1350kg) with a 1JZ and when not going hard on the boost it will get 9l/100km, very good. I was wondering of the ower was having me on when hi told me this, but he connected a Air-Fuel meter to the exhaust and we went on a run and until the boost came on hard, it was reading 14.9 the whole time!!! It was a standard computer as well. Hit the boost and is came down in the 11s I am wondering if the Nissan engines can be this frugal as well. Kev
  16. sorry yes i meant GTST
  17. sorry yes i meant GTST
  18. does the cressida handle that much power ok? how much was the conversion? what are the brakes and suspension like? how much do they weigh?
  19. I like i have been looking at a 180SX and not considered a GTR-ST because i thought they were a lot heavier and would use more fuel. (to me its an issue, i want good economy if i drive easy) So this guy who is selling a GTR-ST tells me that they can be more fuel efficient than a S14 to anyone out there who has experience with both models could you please give some FB between a S13 and a gtrst can you please tell me which was best for acceleration? braking? cornering? fuel consumption? best and worst IE is either one better or worse than the other? cause i realise it comes down to a lot of factors, like how moded it is but as a general rule if you di the same mods, or spent the same money ........ Kev
  20. that is correct like i have been looking at S13 - 14s and not considered a GTR because i thought they were a lot heavier and would use more fuel. 21. I have been trying to get specs on skylines on the net and am finding some conflicting information EG Skyline R32Vehicle Weight, kg1290 / 1230 (coupe) but on another site it said the weight was 1320kg and the fuel consumtpon was 10.l/100km for the R33 I found Vehicle Weight, kg1390 / 1310 (coupe)[/color]Fuel Consumption, l/100km9.8 Anyone know what the REAL specs are? particularly interested in the weight.. also whats the diff in weight between the RB20 and RB25 if any? Is it likley that the R33 is more fuel efficient? thanks Kev
  22. the AE86s are light where as the chasers are heavy its all about power to weight ratio. less weight = more acceseration, braking and corners from a physics point of view. i know the chaser would be a much nicer drive being new but the lighter car will perform (if setup correctly IE good suspension and brakes) you know what i mean. Kev
