Hey my car has 73xxx km's, whether thats true or not i have no idea but i like to believe it haha. Ive been a member since last year and ive done alot of browsing, and when i say alot i mean alot. I know i can read about stuff relating to what i wana know but i still have to put the pieces together and decide whats best which is why im asking to get a direct answer for what is actually best. Plus the fact that many things were covered years ago, so im thinking they might be a little out of date and better theories or results are better suited to what is best for my car. Thanks, im hoping to get some more answers.

Hey i just wanted some advice on a few things. Ill explain what my goals are and hope you can push me in the right direction, so any advice or thoughts are most welcome. I have an r33 gtst series 2. I have a greddy fmic, k&n pod filter which is enclosed, full 3 inch exhaust with split dump pipe. Im planning on buying a r33 gtr fuel pump. I only wana run 10 to 11 psi with my stock turbo. I have two questions: I dont really wana upgrade injectors but i want to have my stock ones professionally cleaned (is that worth it). Is there such thing as high flowing stock injectors and is that worth it? Or should i get r33 gtr injectors? What are your thoughts on that? My other problem is i dont know what ecu to get. What ecu would be worth getting? Im not after massive power, i just want a car thats quicker then stock ones and that can at least beat everyday wrx's, 200's etc. So what ecu or other option if there is one should i get? Obviously once i get more power ill be like most of us on here and want even more, so taking into consideration that i MIGHT one day wana upgrade turbo and injectors etc. But for now im concentrating more on the mods i have and mentioned. If you have any other thought on what i should do or change please advise me cause im always interested in other peoples opinions when it comes mods. Cheers.

20% Sale Store Wide Autobarn This Weekend
WET-25T replied to WET-25T's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
In regards to the different prices at different locations, i would say thats because all autobarn shops are privately owned franchises and have no connection between one another, so the owner can put what ever price he/she feels. -

Hey i just wanted to let people know that autobarn has a 20% sale store wide this weekend so anything you need or might need sooner or later to grab it this weekend and save 20%. I will definately be grabbing some expansive oils etc. Cheers.
-
RodMonsta as far as i know, yes it is every autobarn with the 20% store wide sale but only this weekend. Thanks to everyone else, based on your replies im going to autobarn tomorrow to buy redline light weight shock proof for my gear box and diff. Cheers.
-
Cool i was kind of leaning towards redline, except i read something about it not being good for the syncros or something in a r33 gear box. Well since you have used it, whats your opinoin of your gear box and diff since using it? Obviously its easier to tell the difference with the gear box compared to diff. Also how many litres did you use in the gear box and how many litres in the diff if you remember, so i know how many litres to buy. Cheers mate

Hey guys, about 2 months ago i searched for what oils are best for my gear box and diff but had no solid answer, just what guys are using in their own cars. My car is a r33 series 2 gtst manual, and i need to know asap because auto barn has a 20% sale store wide this weekend so i need to buy it this weekend. My question is what is the best oil for my gear box and diff, so i can go buy it and save some cash. Thanks.

Hey i am also very interested to know if the monsta intercooler kits on ebay are any good.

WET-25T replied to R33-RB26DETT's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Spot on paulr33, nice work man. You seem to know your stuff. -
I sanded mine back to get rid of bumps, then cleaned then if i can remember correctly i cleaned them with metho, then sprayed them with an undercoad that makes the paint stick better, then used matt black spray paint, or mapp black? cant remember lol. Anyways when u go to buy it tell the guy what its for and he should be compitent to guide you in the right path.

Active Lsd Or Vicious Lsd
WET-25T replied to WET-25T's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Ok cool, im still a little pissed with myself for not waiting and getting a 40th anniversary r33 but what can you do. Well if u guys think its not worth the hassel of selling mine for one then im happy to keep mine, it is a skyline after all. -
Guys i just need something cleared up. In regards to an r33 gts25t series 2, there was the vicious lsd and active lsd. I have an r33 series 2 1996 model with vicious lsd and i really wana know whats the difference between the two and which is better. Im always thinking that i should have gotten a later model r33 with active lsd and cant stop thinking if i should trade in or sell my car to get one. If you guys could tell me the difference, what they do and which is better it will help me out so much and give me time to think about other problems before i goto bed. Also let me know if its worth selling my car to get one or just keeping mine. Cheers

Actuator Thing Touching Jjr Dump Pipe
WET-25T replied to WET-25T's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Ok fair enough, thanks for trying to help me out anyways. Im just wondering, with all the skyline wizards on this forum, why no one is trying to help me out. Do you guys not like me? Is this some kind of conspiracy against me? Should i beg for it... -
Actuator Thing Touching Jjr Dump Pipe
WET-25T replied to WET-25T's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Also i was originally using the high boost trick. I had the turbotech boost controller in my room which ive now installed again with the stock wastegate actuator and i think it was hitting about 11 psi possible with a little boost spike to 12 psi. -
Actuator Thing Touching Jjr Dump Pipe
WET-25T replied to WET-25T's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
The reason i know its hitting is because i knew i was gona get an r32 actuator so i read about them on SAU and found a thread where the guy had the exact same problem. What i did was i unbolted the dumppipe from the turbo but NOT from the cat so there was enough room for me to see what was happening when i pushed the dump pipe away from the back of the turbo. With the dump pipe pushed back as far as it could go i opened the flap completely and the part where the actuator arm connects onto faced completely towards the back of the car. Then i pushed the dump pipe back on and opened the flap completely again but instead of facing the passenger front seat, it was pretty much facing the drivers seat. With the dump pipe away from the turbo again i freely opened the flap again and could see the flap inside the back of the turbo physically hitting the inside of the wastegate dump pipe. Also note i had the actuator fully disconnected. The end result is the flap DOES hit the inside of the wastegate pipe and quiet a bit to the extent where i dont think grinding it will make any difference in relation to it not hitting at all. You should check yours out sometime i bet you will be surprised. In regards to the JJR split dump/front pipe, i am happy with it except for this issue which i think is understandable. -
Actuator Thing Touching Jjr Dump Pipe
WET-25T replied to WET-25T's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
With the standard actuator i was using the high boost trick and when i swapped actuators i left it using the high boost. It some times creeps to about 12 or 13 psi in second which causes it to splutter with cold weather temperatures. I was planning on putting my original wastegate actuator back on (which i did yesterday) because i dont want to go over 10 or 11 psi. My main concern now is the fact that the flapper is still touching and has been since i put the dump/front pipe a couple of months ago. I just want to know if its ok to leave it the way it is or should i end up changing the dump pipe? Thought i would also say im not impressed with the JJR split dump/front pipes now due to this cause if i have to spend money on another drump/front pipe thats bullsh*t. -
Actuator Thing Touching Jjr Dump Pipe
WET-25T replied to WET-25T's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yea the actuator flap touches the inside of the dump pipe. I was thinking to use a grinder but i don tthink ill be able to get it far enough inside and even if i could it looks like it needs quiet a bit grinded out, to the point that ill probably put a hole in the dump pipe. Do you know what problems can happen if i dont fix this issue? Or am i fine leaving it the way it is? Cheers. -
Hey im having the same problems you did except i have a JJR split dump/front pipe and the flapper touches the inside of the wastegate pipe quiet a bit. What did you end up doing to solve the problem? Thanks
-
Hey guys, I got an r32 wastegate actuator last week and installed it on my r33 s2. I was running the stock one before this with the high boost thingy. Anyways my car use 2 miss but i fixed that with the shelly's silicone. Once installing the r32 wastegate actuator i drove the car for a few days and it would always miss in high revs on COLD mornings before work. On the way home from work in the arvo it was always fine with NO miss at all. Last night it missed again when it was cold. Anyways i have a JJR split dump/front pipe and i unbolted it from the turbo and took off the wastegate actuator. The problem is that the thing the wastegate actuator arm connects to touches the inside of the dump pipe quiet a bit. I just wanted to know if this causes any problems and should i do something about it rather then bolt it back together and put my stock wastegate actuator back on? Thanks guys
-
Hey i just picked up my r32 wastegate actuator about 30 mins ago and i know for a fact that its an r32 wastegate actuator because its out of my mates r32 cause hes doin a rebuild. Im sorry to tell you fishy but mine doesnt look like yours and i cant tell you what skyline yours is out of. To best describe mine take a look at your third picture. Mine has the nipple on the opposite end as to the one in that pic and my nipple is straight. The numbers on the actuator read: (ASN79-) which is engraved into the actuator. It also has stamped to it (241321) and AS VALVE. Hope that helps. ill be installing mine tomorrow morning.

R34 GTT stock wheel size? Fit R32?
WET-25T replied to B0oStEr's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Mine didnt touch the nissan logo, it was far from it. It was hitting the whole edge of the caliper when the tyre was rotated.
