Havn't done mine yet but when the time comes i will definately use an angle grinder plus i know someone that used an angle grinder and it looks good, as long as you dont slip...
I sprayed my windscreen wipers on sat (was very gay with the rain cause i had to drive to get more spray paint ) anyways you have to take off both windscreen wipers which is easy, and in the engine bay you will see a long rubber thing going from the drivers side to passengers side which is sitting on the plastic you wanna take off.
So without breaking any of the clips take this rubber off then the plastic you want has clips holding it down so put your fingers under it and once again without breaking the clips pop it off, its not hard you just have to be careful.
I didnt paint mine and dont know what you should use.
Cool i thought it was that, i took it off yesterday and now its even more screwed. Thanks for the photos vietorious they say a thousand words, now i just have to be bothered to do it but at least the rain has stopped.
I washed mine about a month ago at concord car wash, covered my pod filter with a plastic bag and used degreaser followed by high pressure rinse and hoped for the best. Luckily had no pronblems and drove off and its been fine.
With my previous car (mazda astina) washed it the same way and a shit load of water got into my spark plugs and was f**ked till i realised and got the water out.
The bloke selling them on ebay is ok to deal with, its cheap, easy (too easy) to install cause you dont need to buy anything else and it works. Installed mine about 3 days ago all seems to be ok so far, im happy with it.
Hey thanks for the replies,
I dont think i explained it properly. Im gonna get a full 3" exhaust, im not getting a 3.5" at all but what i wanted to know is with the 3" exhaust what would suit it better... A 3" cat or 3.5"cat both are for a 3"exhaust?
Nismoid knows what im talking about.
Just asking cause you get an option with which one you want.
Thanks again guys
Hey ppl,
Just wondering with the xforce 3" turbo back exhaust which cat would be better, the 3" or the 3.5"? Also for which ever is better can you explain a little for why its better because the 3.5" cost more :S.
Thanks
Well ur right in the sense that i de greased my engine about 2 weeks ago or so, not sure if the would still b water in it and it was fine straight after i did it. In 2500 k's which will b at 70,000 kms i will do a FULL service like everything. Thanks again
Hey, i wont boost unless my engine is fully warmed up and no i didnt wash the engine bay. Its strange bcoz it hasnt happen since that night. Anyways i put my boost gauge in today and it was showing 9psi. So i disconnected the new earth i put in for the high boost and took it for another drive.
It was showing 7psi for low boost then it goes to 9psi for high boost. The only mods that it has is a turbo timer, the boost gauge i just put in and a pod filter. No other performace mods that im aware of what so ever. Is this normal for 7psi low instead of 5psi and 9psi high instead of 7psi? And is 9psi safe or should i just keep it on the 2 boost setting?
Also i didnt cut right through the wire i made it into a t-piece for the hight boost.
Thanks and thanks for the fast reply Duncan
Ok i wanted to do this mod but wasnt too keen on cutting the wire. Well i did it today, took the car for a drive at 6pm and the boost felt more responsive.
I washed the car and took ot for another drive at 9pm, i was in 2nd gear and the car suddenly stopped boosting and kind of felt like it jumped. This also happend in 3rd gear and kept happening for the next 5 mins or so till i got the car home.
What would the cause of this be? Is it wrecking my car? I will see if its the same tomorrow and probably put it back to normal (not too happy after getting a taste of that whole extra 2 psi).
Thanks so much for the help if it wasnt for you guys i would be getting ripped off by a mechanic and not knowing how to or what to do to modify my skyline. Once again thanks guys
