ok did a bit of research and im told it can be done and has been, it can be done with portable dvd player or a new unit (cheapest version), u can even run crystal clear aus tv for bit extra $. Ive chosen to go with a new dvd unit to replace old standard nissan one which will be hooked up to the tv (can run playstation etc too). the tv needs to be hacked or something im told, Better to see someone that has done a couple before, ive gone to places like alberts and stuff and they told me its a waste of time too expensive bla bla bla. If your in perth let me know ill give you someone to talk to or Brissy theres someone i know there that can help too. Peace Im getting it done the week comin up so ill let u know how i go.

Im left with 2 options atm, 1. cheaper version is i wack a dvd player in the boot or near passenger seat and run a plug from jap unit, or 2. get a new unit (jvc dvd player with a usb port) that can connect to existing tv also, that way i like because i get rid of the standard cd unit and stacker in the back which i dont like (bit annoying going to boot all the time). gave me a price of 550 chris what you think? should i look for a unit that i like outside or go ahead with what he's offering?

Its been a while since i tried doing something about the tv but now its a real pain in the ass!, everytime i turn my car on it opens up and a blue screen shows and i cannot put the screen down with ANY button, only way it goes down is when I turn the electrics off. Is there anyone that has takin the unit apart that can shed more light on how to work this thing. There must be a simple way. Could the tv work with a different headunit? solso31 is your tv still working with dvd, ps2 etc?

Ok ok ok people say it cant be done, but it can. The problem is, is that there isnt enough knowledge on how to do it. It shouldnt be that hard, I know of 2 people on here that have got it working with a dvd player and one managed to get his playstation going aswell, and they didnt spend 500+ doing it. It sits in too much of an awesome spot and looks cool the way it opens, soo im not getting rid of it. Im going to try and get it working, ill get back when i find any info. peace!

I dont kno what time you'd get there but incase you dont know, they locks the gates at a certain time. like 5 or 6pm or something i dont know exactly

Why dont we have a double cruz on this day, 2 that merge to one meet point? You got the Mandurah to freo cruz happenin. What if there was one that started from Perth to Freo or wherever and the end result will be about 100 cars, what do u all think?? Basically 2 cruises with the same last meeting point at the same time. Just an idea! P.S. Dont stress we would bring our own snaggers! Could be a huge cruise.

I watched a cop do it to a large group of us, i think he was checking to see that there was enough gap between tyre and guard not how Low exactly.

Hey all im getting super lows also but what i wanted to know is, Is there anyone that has done this or that will know if there will be enough clearance between guard and tyres?? - My tyres at the rear are 265 on 9.5" wide rims. I got a price for everything including rolling the guards for $550. Can anyone tell me if cops would stick their fingers in the gaps and give me a yellow? Anyone who was at our cruise friday will know that having coilovers and very handy lol. But right now money points to springs.

lol my bad didnt realise it was someones avatar, nothing against the carebears for me lionheart was the man. But this site deserves a better main page. I remember when i first joined i was like hmm.. not much here.. until u start playing around and searching. My opinion is that a great homepage makes people want to "come in" anyway its only one opinion.

Thanks mate, First time ive organised cruz and the second one I've ever been on. Didnt expect soo many people would be at scarborough, made us park far from the food places. Cant wait to see more photos from the guys with the nice cameras. They buy nice equipment and we get to have nice photos, lucky to have them around cheers! Ah well cops have to do their job. I think mosman beach was a nice stop ay..? maybe next time get all the cars in a diagonal formation or something for a good photo. One just with the cars and one with the cars and their owners standing near it or something.

No worries ill take a couple pics. Havent done the air con yet, i still need to see an install guide. in the end it should look ok, all green with a new dvd player hopefully.
