Fs: Asuka Hr-3 Digital Tv Tuner
YEE-HAA replied to seohyunjin's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Hi Do you still have 1 of these tuners left? -
I got lucky and my car left earlier than expected. It then took around 6 days to land, down from the original 13, and that landed in Brisbane. Cant remember where it left from. But then it got stuck on the docks for nearly 3 weeks. Hopefully you dont get caught like me. You can always ask your shipping carrier as they most probably have a website where you can check the progress of the ship.

I'll put my name down for it; Im hanging to get mine outta the city @ last. Will prob bring the missus and little bloke as well.

Hi Now I've got even more bad news for you. Contrary to popular belief, bubs "baking" away can hear what you say even whilst in the "oven". Thats how they know who you are as they can hear the sound of your voice, and hence they bond with you later on! Hope it doesn't ruin your day too much!!

Hi After only a couple of tank refills I can report I can get around 720km/80l in my Pm35 350rx which equates to around 11l/100km in mostly city/suburban driving. Havent had a chance to get on the open road yet. In comparison, my modded 33 would average 12.5-13l/100km for 63l for the same driving, so Im stoked with its economy. Plus its got lots of torque I reckon. Thats using Shell V-Power in both.

Sorry for the late reply. You should be careful when poking around running alternators if you not familiar with this sort of thing. There is usually a thick wire which is bolted onto the back of the alternator, this is the output wire which supplies power to the battery and other electrics on the car amongst other things. You can get a positve reading from here, earth lead to a earth like a strut tower nut etc and you'll get a reading. Failing that you can get a rougher idea by putting the multimeter directly onto the battery, but this isnt as accurate. If your still in doubt, best to consult an auto elec to check it for you. Good luck.

Hi Do any other lights come up on the dash? Like a battery light perhaps! If so it could indicate a faulty voltage regulator/alternator. It could be cutting out @ idle because there isnt enough voltage to sustain the lights. Try putting a multimeter on the output of the alternator with and without the brakes on @ idle and at higher revs. A good voltage output would be around the high 13v to low 14v mark. Something else to consider. Hope this helps.

Fs: Cruise Controls For V35 & M35 - Diy Install
YEE-HAA replied to Commsman's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Hi leon, Are these a genuine Nissan (radar type)kit which I beleive came from factory and if so, do you have the genuine part number. I would like to cross reference it in 'Fast' and see if it will suit my auto PM35. If it does fit can you put my name down for one. -
Yes I hope so too, as soon as I get it registered and on the road I'll been cruising finally!!!

Thats correct, at the time I was importing my Pm35, Northshore was only going to comply 4 PM35's/year, for J-specs customers, myself being the 1st! (Thanks to Ben @ Northshore and Ben @ J-Spec for all their help). J-spec has been trying to get Northshore to comply cars for him for some time, and Northshore, understandably wants to protect his investment by limiting the number of plates he fits to cars which arent imported by him. Who knows what will happen in the future!

Whose M35 With Led Taillights In Sa?
YEE-HAA replied to YEE-HAA's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Hi, Looks very indeed, I noticed it from the Pt Wakefield Rd bridge heading north and you (or ya missus) were almost @ the lights ahead of me in traffic(a good 2-300m) and from memory it was a fairly sunny afternoon so they really do stand out . When you say they are done pretty neatly, can you see them when you just open the tailgate or are they mounted in behind the light, as Im curious how they fit. Some (detailed mounting pics) would be noice!!!! -
You can get factory HIDs; look at the Holden Caprice and some saabs. They just have to be self levelling and have headlight washers fitted.

Fitting An Asuka Tv Tuner In A M35
YEE-HAA replied to andynogo's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
OK I have managed to answer my own question, with the help of reading another post where someone fitted a tuner to a v35. He gave me the idea to unscrew the circuit board from the case itself and presto the information I needed was there. They are in fact the same configuration on my board @ least, and you can see it will be whilst looking into the plug on the tuner itself. Its best compared whilst the board is upside down, and the words "VTR R+" & "SHIELD" whilst they are @ the bottom of the picture labelled 'car pics 031A', they correspond to being @ the top of the plug/top of the same picture . Also I have a picture of the main grey plug which contains all the other vital connections such as power and ground etc. Hope this is of some help to you guys. -
Fitting An Asuka Tv Tuner In A M35
YEE-HAA replied to andynogo's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Hi This may or may not be a noob question, but Im making the flying lead to plug into the JDM tuner and I dont have factory rear camera and am wondering 1: if, in my picture attached, is that the view when you are looking into the plug on the JDM tuner or into the loom itself? and... 2: for the guys who own a PM35 and have done this mod, if the wire configuration is the same as the earlier tuner as used in this example as they are different part numbers to the later ones, and the later ones dont have the rca inputs on the jdm tuner. Thanks in advance! -
Good thinking there, I may just do that. Do we know where its going yet?

Cyclops is part of Dynamco as is Autowatch, both same address in WA. Wonder what the difference is then between the two? From my past dealing with cyclops they were a good unit, without many problems if any.

Would love to come show my new ride and meet some of you guys, but my car wont be ready by then. Maybe if you have a cruise late december or new year I'll be able to make it then. And I can bring the kid (all the women will die from his good looks) and I could bring the dog, (the guys will die from choking on fur or him jumping on you and you banging your head on the ground!) lol

No More Asuka .. Now What?
YEE-HAA replied to projectx's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Sorry to revive an old thread but looking at doing this for my PM35 and it sounds as if mine has the same square plugs as the V35 for the aerials. I recently opened mine up and saw printed on the circuit board "ANT1, ANT2, ANT3, ANT4". So andy, my questions is if this is still relevant to the current asuka tuners, or was this for the previous model tuners? Regardless I s'pose the new tuners are still coming with aerials I beleive. (I have taken some photo's of the inside of the box if anyone is interested I can upload if you wish.) I have also heard of them, they are also the distributor for Daewoo Car security products, (remotes & transponders) if its still of any interest to anyone. -
Hi Travelling home a week or so ago, I saw a white M35, 250t (rx possibly) on Port Wakefield Road near the Salisbury Highway overpass around 5 o'clock heading north. Now what caught my eye was that it had led brake lights in the top half of the taillights. I was wondering if you (the owner) fitted the leds yourself or if you got a third party to do it; either way I would like to know what and how it was done as I want to do it to my Stagea soon. Thanks in advance.

Hi Matthew, How did you go with this project? Im looking @ doing it as well and would like a "how to" if you have done it.

Tv Tuners Once Again - The New Asuka
YEE-HAA replied to Commsman's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Ah-ha your pic looks different to the pic on the first page of this topic, its missing from the preview. I cant use my phone for a gps, I'm poor and only have a K1, hence why Im using a Navman. Its starting to make sense now. -
If your still looking for scooters, I can recommend Aprilia. I had a early 2000's SR50 Ditech, fuel & oil injected, water cooled, front & rear disc brakes, fat 13" wheels and handled really good. Standard they would only do 50-60 max, but derestrict them and just by changing the rollers with a bit of playing round they would do 80km/h easy. Different roller weights would give you better top end at a price of sacrifycing bottom end. Im a big bloke and managed to ride in a 80 km/h zone easily. I did this for well over 30,000km (daily commuting to work 55km round trip) without rebuilding the motor, (I was told by many ppl that it would need a rebuild after 20k)!! yeah right!!! . It was cheap transport as well 50km/l of fuel, and approx 1.2l oil tank would easily last 3000km for oil that cost under $20 a bottle. Good fun too, so much so my mate brought one as well and we used to go cruising on the weekend. You can see on the aprilia site they also do 125cc, and a bad point now is the 50cc motors are different now to what it used to be carby vs fuel injected, and I beleive they are a different motor as well. In SA you only needed a car licence for a 50cc scooter.
