  1. wow, thought it would be more complicated than that! A few questions, where would my alarm be hidden? and does the relay come with everything from the Magna, or do I have to buy that seperate? I'll post up some pictures/videos/how tos when I get this done.
  2. Sweet. Count us in from Mandurah to Perth, looking forward to it.
  3. How mechanical am I? Well I'm a mechanics apprentice, so I'd say yeh, sor sure. And now that I've just got my licence, I'm willing to drive any where! I really want this to work, mainly because it'd be cool to show off to my mates. How easy is this to do? A write-up or any information would be appreciated.
  4. Um, there is no way they would just bolt up, forget about that one now, but with some modification, for sure yeah! I say go for it, but don't expect it to run 10s, it'll be a show car only of course. But I'd love to see that!
  5. Nice. Always wanted to pimp out one of those!
  6. So is it from mandurah to perth and back again? or is it just mandurah to perth? Also, my mate was interested in coming, drives an SX Celica with an imported GT4 engine, drivetrain and interior. Not your standard Celica, thats for sure. Beats most cars on the road, easily. Is that ok?
  7. The guard might bolt up, because people have done S1 to S2 conversions with S1 guards, so I'm guessing it'd work the otherway. The bonnet will fit if you had lights and grill, which would fit if you have the S1 front bar Not sure. It'd be easier to do a full conversion, but cheaper to find S1 parts
  8. My alternator belt used to screach when it was really hot, then if you revved it up a bit or turn it off and on again it would go away. Then I tightend the belts, and they have never squealed again. The belts are in good condition, so I knew that wasn't the problem. After it would squeal, the alternator wheel was hotter than the exhaust manifold, so thats how I knew which belt was slipping.
  9. Well done! Unfortunately, not everything is that cheap to fix.
  10. Good work! Shouldn't this be in the For Sale section?
  11. Blitz Body Kits in Brisbane do bonnets, and they are ADR compliant as well. Only in QLD tho, but more states are being added.
  12. You might be right, but I've never heard of hydralics being legal in Australia. Aftermarket ones definately arent
  13. Sweet. Does anyone know how I go about doing this? It's such a hassle having to lift the little cover, insert the key, turn the key, take the key out... Damn I'm lazy...
  14. Automatic boot opener? Press the button and it opens by itself, press it again and it closes by itself. I dream of something like this, as well as a remote controlled manual car, Bond style, but I think the boot is more reasonably...
  15. Talked to one of the mechanics from work, apparently all Nissan filters are smaller than their aftermarket equivelents. The Ryco filter on his patrol is about 1/3 bigger than the Nissan part that came with the car. I'll try it on 2moro, and hopefully it works this time!! btw, Brendan, I try to avoid Auto1. Everytime I go there I get the same guy, possibly retarted, has no idea what he's selling me. Tried to sell me a sump plug washer that was a completely different size and material then I asked for. Told him to shove it and walked out. I prefer Repco, they actually know what they are talking about. We get all our parts from Repco for work, never had a problem with them before.
  16. kitty hair? but I don't have a cat... Is that some kind of sarcasm I sense? Its hard to tell on a computer!
  17. email C-Red or someone else who sells it, they would probs have a picture of two of customers cars with the kits on. Its worth a try. Good luck
  18. Cheers mate, I'll have a look. I'd like to get rid of the bloody thing!
  19. Ouch!! Thats annoying! It doesnt even look that bad until you show those pics! Damn.
  20. Yeh, they do get a bit of a thrashing, which is another reason why I want 2 upgrade. The NA brakes are tiny, and really shit. The pads are fine, but the rotors need machining, so instead of paying all this money, I just want an upgrade. The car will probs end up at the track later on in its life, so better start now. Plus I value my safety, and I really hate the 4-stud pattern on the car. I'm probs going to upgrade the brakes with R33 GTS-t brakes, calipers and hubs, as well as better fluid among other things. Good tyres are good, but they are expencive to replace after some "fun", not that I'm into that sort of thing at all... Thanks for all the advice tho guys, I appreciate it.
  21. Fair enough then! Thanks for the info, I really appreciate it
  22. Being paid $6.20 to fix people's cars. Damn apprentiship. And not being able to afford to modify your car because of it! And the po-po, I'm petrified I'll lose my license, I only got it on Thursday!!
  23. Cheers mate. Thats exactly what I wanted to know. Your not biased being admin and all, are you? ;-)
  24. Some where in Street Commodores they did, but I can't remember who did it off the top of my head, it was a long time ago. I'll try and find it for you
  25. Hmmm, I was going to put my battery in there. Would that work with this? I wanted to put my sab enclosure where my battery is in my R33.
