  1. look for grommets dude... sometimes they can be hidden behind things tho
  2. try a new air flow meter..... my afm was dicky when the car got hot and i did all the usual 'obivous' quick fixes such as -changed my igniter module -changed all 6 coilpacks -put in new plugs and gapped them to .6mm -changed air filter and changed fuel filter problem ended up being the air flow meter was faulty.... give ben at KYP a call
  3. gearbox just needs to come out.. try and find who will do that for the cheapest, and no the car isnt dangerous to drive even tho the bearings making noise it'll probly just get louder but youll find if your lacking money atm (chrissy time and all) you could possibly drive with it like that for ages...
  4. i just wanted to know which parts of the 26 can b retrofitted onto the rb20 as a performance/effieciency mod? i had an idea that possibly the inlet plenum and throttle body plate thing with the 6 butterflies would be able to be swapped over to save on cooler pipe length, and the camshafts??... i was also gunna use the crankshaft and go out and buy rods but am unsure which rods i would have to use if im gunna use the 26 crankshaft.. i heard i had to mill away at the bottom of the cylinder walls to get the crank to fit? maybe other parts fit over too?? any experience at all would be greatly appreciated, nd please no body say "FK this idea go buy a 25 or a 26" .. ive got the idea where as.. ive got the parts, why not use them?

  6. power steering belt tight enough?... maybe u mite have a faulty power steering pump?? id expect a car like that to have some sort of warrenty yeh?
  7. i wanna build a rb26/30 at home, ive got pritty much a complete rb26 head which came with everything, i just wanna focus on getting it running before i take it out again and build it, now i know getting ahold of a rb30 bottom end is no hassle at all, but i have a few questions i wanted to ask before i start the build.. -what is the safe RPM limit on a 26/30 as aposed to my stock rb20det -what timing belt should be used..? -is there any special tricks or secrets when building these motors? -what ECU should i use (ie. one suited for a rb26... or a computer than can handle anything?) -what gearbox should i run?.. rb25 box? -do these motors have any problems once they are together?, any downsides to this conversion?
  8. dont know what sorta boost there good for but i heard the GTR blow off's were better than any aftermarket ones.. when there working your less likely to have a 'leaking' blow off by using stockers aposed to aftermarket ones.. if there leaking your car would be running like poo on idle and/or wouldnt boost properly.. youd be able to notice it anyway im pritty sure
  9. this kit is awes.. your definetly right about the quality difference i know that now after buying a china kit... they mite aswell sold it to me a few paper towls in the shape of a vertex kit because it is VERY thin, crap quality.. GL with the sale.... sooo wish i was rich lol
