Hey guys. Lately i been looking at doing a GT-R conversion on the R34 25GT, but im having tremendous trouble finding an FRP GT-R hood from anywhere! I found all the other parts and could do it if only i could find the hood! but thats not what im gonna get at, i think i should keep the car looking clean and not go down some pose' GT-R liner when its not. So im asking people if they know where to get any of the BOMEX kits for the ER34's, the only place i can find is the official site that is being reconstructed and therefore its all over the show, says all their stuff is sold out etc when its not, but is there any good kit shops in Aus? (doesn't have to be Bomex just liked the kits!) Btw, if anyone wants to also help me on the lines of a new catback, i was thinking the APEXi N1? Anyone have some ideas on how that would sound? (Im a p plater, not a new p plater so can still do those mods, but not for performance gains, just for looks). Probs loose 2-3HP anyhow from doing it...

I got P's in May and already lost 3 points for "speeding" in VS clubsport, thankfully they saw the V6 badge on side and for some reason when he wrote the ticket it stated commodore 3.8L, so i was fortunate to be pulled over by no brainers. Now i have my R34 25GT and first day i got it i was pulled over...ive had it for less than a month and all up i been pulled over 5 times!!! Live in Chaddy so theres plenty of coppers on the princess and warrigul roads (frankston/dandy too). I like to test the cops myself cause im thinking of joining them (wanna join highway patrol) and i went in and spoke to another clueless cop that didnt even know what the new laws were! Theres so much confusion, i recon if a cop checked you, you could get away by saying you bought the car like this (pod inside) and if they can "lt you go" and youll replace it. Worst case is they take 3 points off and you get a fine, if you still have the other 2 from the 5 on P's then your ok,if you dont mind the risk. Personally id love to redo my car now and find a RB26 and mod my car n go nuts! but obviously we can't, and with me on 2 points and all i cant even go 1K/h over the limit or im screwed. P/s they can impound your car for up to 48 hours if they really wanted to aswell.

Thanks guys thats much appreciated. I think i can probably get the hinges from Nissan itself if thats possible, and ill look around for sure i have more areas to do my homework on so ill let you know when im done with it all.

Hi all, i was wondering what the best route for converting the look of your R34 GT -GTT to a "wider" more R34 GTR look is... I dont know where to find the GTR hood and the hinges for it to bolt on to the GT frame and where to find the rear wider fenders. I know of Uras rear widening fenders but they are more squarish and i dont really want to by them and reshape them myself, cause quite frankly i dont know how or who does that, and i am aware that they sell the front widening fenders and the front lip, i was curious as i have seen some coversions around and they look convicingly good. What i really want to know is where to find the GTR hoods, it doesnt have to be A stock GTR hood it can be a TS hood or a CW just anything that is shorter than the GT hood, and more importantly the hinges that go with them respectively. So far i have done nothing to my R34 GT but hopefully when im done i can then work on performance mods and the like. If you dont know where to get them or find them can people even just give me a list of body shops that have clean kits for R34's (2 Door) cause my stock 34 isnt cuting it for me at all. Hi to everyone, im new here so sorry if i do/have done anything wrong already haha... I just recently got my 'new' car (R34 25 GT - non turbo). Everything on the car right down to the bone is completely stock and since im a P plater (from Melbourne) theres not much i can do in the way of performance mods right now so im taking the other route and slowly styling the car to my taste. Firstly i just want to make the car sound have a bit more depth, right now i cant even hear it, its whisper quite and i just wanted to add some depth and grunt to it for now, i was hoping if anyone can tell me where i can get a catback or a cannon or something that will give me a nice sounding R34 like i hear on the others that go past me. I know its kind of wierd just to do it for the sound but its only a temp thing until i can fully do up the car when im off P's. Hopefully i will get my D1spec I Uras bodykit and Enkei RS7 rims so the car will look less 'stock like' when im done. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone can help me, thanks.
