That probably gives you an idea of what it would look like if you were sitting behind...it reflects quite well im happy with it! The other two above are just to show you up close that its still dark and hard to see through And yes i woke up and just took photo's so i didnt brush my hair in the other pic with my reflection shut up hahaa

My R34 with tint, Just below "darkest Legal" whatever that is..its bout 5% under that cause i saw darkest legal and i asked him for slightly darker... Visibility at night is quite fine unless your reversing and theres absolutely no street lights its a bit of a bitch...thats about the only thing you have to wory bout. My tint has some sort of metalic reflector in it cause it seems to reflect like a pearl tint more than a standard dark tint. :S I havn't noticed this on many other cars other than limo's etc... I hope cops don't get too picky cause i still have to display my P's and you can't see em...

Haha....Cara and her 'Impul'...Ian and his 'Uras'...Kris and his....R33....... hahaaaa (jks jks, i like R33's especially since all the 34's here are non turbo rofl!) First reply was the only thing you need to know Ian....coilpacks...and when you get them, don't go back to Shane at Power Roads or whatever he calls himself He charges like 1 grand for nissan ones when you can get Spitfires for bout 7-8oo mullah installed (yes thats all 6 packs) As one of the guys that just got it replaced on here a week ago, with a R34 4 door from same place we all got our skylines from Uras on 4 door looks hot. On 2 not so hot...actually its quite yuck. Veilside looks even shittier on a 2 door and a bit over the top! Then again i can't talk cause i got a Bomex kit with wide panels... Also another problem you douche', is the steering arms themselves as i have witnessed first hand...do not fk the front end of your car into a pot hole or hit a gutter cause you will pay for it dearly my friend ....peace be with you. Also 10K for those mods??? How much is the Vapour crap??? 8K??? Ps make sure you get the Uras eyelids of you get the full kit!

Oh that sounds like some good places i can ring up and check out, I might give all of em a go n see who has the best outcome for my car. I called up Chargespeed in Clayton, i don't know what the verdict is on them, im sure someone on SAU has had news on them before, except i havnt checked yet. They qouted 3K for the paint...yikes, i guess thats the reality but its a damn lot considering i still got to get qoutes to fit the panels and bodykit itself aswell. Has anyone dealt with Chargespeed and know if they are any good? They have a few Autosalon project cars they have enetered so im guessing they are decent? Thanks for the help guys, Let us know how DT panels comes along too.

Finally purchased the Cross Factory fenders!!! Took the risk, now lets hope the panel beaters know how to fabricate well! Fingers crossed...

I got a Bomex Kit and C-West Eyelids ready for my 34...havn't fitted them yet because im waiting for my wide ass rear panels and front gaurds. I got my eyelids from Carmate though like a couple of people have already mentioned, they come unpainted and probs need a decent sanding before you fit them and paint them. Goin a lil off track (sorry), I thought the bomex kit would be awesome but if you havn't already bought it you might want to reconsider to another kit, they are quite over the top 'ricerish'....if i had an option i might actually have gone with Impul or something a bit more suttle. Anyhow its up to you i guess, just telling you from my own exp. I'd say the URAS eyelids would suite the Bomex kit better than the C-West ones. (Also Carmate is in NSW and has a site you can purchase and get the parts you need shipped to Tassy). Everything can be done online and they are quite reliable form own experiences buying stuff from them.

Hey everyone, if you don't already know i have been sourcing wider panels for my R34 for some time now and asking questions around here and there to get all the info i can. Now i have finally purchased myself a set of Cross- Factory Wide fenders for the front and the back panels and im loking at putting my bodykit along with the panels together. The difficulty with the next part is once its done, where is the best place to get your car painted for a reasonable price. (Less than 2K if possible) I want to respray the whole car, as such i mean i want the shell painted, in the same colour i have now (white). Not the engine bay, not anyhting else just the new parts and a fresh coat over the old one. Is there a place in Victoria that can do a good, cheap yet fairly quick job? I look at recieving all the parts within the next few weeks and wish to put it all together within a week after that. If anyone can help me out it would be much appreciated! Thanks.

Also sorry for the double post, but i have a quickish quesiton too that hasnt been answered. Since i can't drive the GTT model or swap my engine out to DET i was thinkin of rebuilding my 25de and goin nuts with it that way, eg: forged pistons, rods, acid dip, portn polish blah blah blah go the whole way with it, the only thing with that is of course everytime i open her up shes gonna sound more like a LS1 with a lumpy cam or somethin...so if a cop were to pull me over, would there be any real way to defect me? considering all these parts are gonna be inside the engine practically the only thing they could say is whats the noise, i might be able to say i have to replace my timming belt cause it sounds similar to one thats damaged or worn. Ahh EPA don't tear aprt your engine or remove it during any sort of inspections do they? So im guessing rebuilding a 25de would be near the perfect 'stealthiest' way to gain near 100RwKw without getting busted? Therefore me being on green p's non turbo theyd just let me go on my merry way Been thinking bout the logical side of it for a while, as for the power gains Vs. financial input, that would be a whole different story... Can anyone answer this for meeeeeeeee, cheers.

Hey man, i have ALOT of respect for you (since your green p's like me), only because you have the balls to go out in that car already pushin it with the GTST and then with those mods its just a matter of time till you get a strict ass cop that will pin you no matter what you do. As for your paint job, i been plannin to paint my NON turbo R34 (2 door) for a while now, im pissin my pants just to paint the bonnet black cause i have a non adr trial bonnet.. :S. The amount of times i've been pulled over with NO mods at all is amazing...i don't even drive like a dick. My exhaust is definately over 90dB so now though and the last high way patrol went "your exhaust is really loud" and i was just like yeh... ... ... he didnt do anything, but you know what? he took 3 points of my licence and said i went through a red light, when i had 4 people in the car and i went through the yellow (changed red commin out the intersection) so theres my luck for you. Now im sittin with no licence at home till October 20th (reason i didnt appeal is cause i went to court a week earlier for another issue...) So i didn't think the judge at franga would be too happy with me Oh well...i say good luck to you sir! I wish you all my luck, your doin green p platers proud! haha lol

Does that 'concave' at all or is it purely flat? From the picture it looks flat, bleeeh, i wouldnt get it (in my opinion) but if it goes intoward the center cap then it would dramatically look alot different, i probs would get it in that instance. To answer your question, yeh you can get them, if not identical versions from Bob Janes (I live pretty close to one i see em all the time) so im 100% sure (cept they are silver). Alot of Holden Statesmens etc seem to have this style of rim, n the I even seen a Ford XD with 19"s n dumped to the ground with em...looked kinda ugly though :S Keep us posted if you drop em on and take a pic, what colour is your V35??

You know what else you could do? You could buy a Nismo front bar and get the extra lip. Lowering your car to a decent height with tEEEEh nismo eyelids and a clean rear n sides will also look quite agressive, another thing to think about if you want. Someone on here has a 2 door with the extra lip nismo stripes eyelids etc ...even though its not a proper a/m kit it looks better than most of the a/m fitted kits to 34's... Why don't you look into that... Or you could do what i always wanted you to do and paint your car fluro pink, add some green neons to the botton get a Uras drift kit...put a shiny disco ball in your rear view mirror put 20" chromes on and a gigantic 4" exhaust tip that makes duck noises... Im scared people will think im serious bout the last part, so just incase anyone reads im joking!!! But look into the nismo thing...

Haha thanks guy, yeh its been a nightmare figuring out whats illegal what snot, blah blah in Victoria..it seems if you ride anything greater than a bicylce here you could be in potential toruble. After readin all the posts i recon i will fit it...If i get pulled over and im smart about how i tlak to the police and just accept my fate, sometimes they do give yoa warning or just tell you to change it over etc. Its a risk but ill deal, im doing a few other things that technically come under the illegal braket too, like the 10 000K xenon bulbs being fitted... etc...they are little things anyhow. And with the crash thing and bonnet crubling/snapping/going through winshield, i've heard the stories too...if they are true then im just gonna wear a wetsuite and heaps of padding when i drive my car from no on haha. But seriously i drive the speed limit near 99% of the time and whenevr i go above it its cause i didnt realise it was a 50 or a 60 zone etc etc.. Anyhow thanks guys for the advice, wish i lived in queensland...you guys seem to have it alot easier up there than down here...but looks like its getting tough everywhere in due time. Ps. i can lift my a/m hood with one hand (and im an average guy, not overly strong or anything) so :S that was the concern compared to stock hood thats heavy as hell! Thanks again everyone, i feel bit more comfortable installing it now that i've heard people's experiences. Ill keep you all posted when i fit it.

Hey memberinos! lol. I have a quick question and a sticky situation in which i want peoples opinions for what i should do. Quite a while ago i purchsed myself a 'Trial style' Bonnet made of FRP fibreglass, and now that i have parts of my bodykit and i wish to apply them to my 34, i only recently found out that FRP is technically just as illegal as opposed to having a carbon fibre hood on your car (Victorian laws). Im not sure if this is true or false, and i kind of feel stupid for not knowing, but is this correct guys? If it isn't well, problem solved already! But if its not the news i want to hear then here is the situation i mentioned above. Even if its technically illegal, (as most of us would), i still wish to use it in conjunction with my kit i purchased, the situation is, if i do apply it is there a way to make the hood heavier? So if cops lift it theres some sort of metal sheet underneath? Also is there a way to talk your way out of having one of them on, has anyone tried? I wanted to originally paint it black like a 'jdm style' 'white car black hood' look, but i was thinking this might attract even more attention, so i guess painting it white will reduce that risk a bit. What are peoples opinion on this? I know alot of people on the street have FRP parts, but knowing my luck i will get defected asap. What would you guys do? would you slap it on or just leave it stock? Cheers, Josh

Yeh i was orignally gonna repurchase the whole kit! but it costs too much, if i didnt buy the Bomex kit for GT/GTT then yeah....i've heard mixed opinions that it can and can't be done, so i guess it depends on how much i end up spending. To answer the quesiton about the fenders, The rear panels like a GTR come in slowly toward the skirts and the skirts themselves don't stick out like the Sunline wide kit for example... Also, i have to respray my whole car since i got an aftermaket hood GTT Trial style and thats gonna be black, i have to fit it paint my mirrors black and my carbon fibre boot will be white though...spoiler GTR high bar will be black...along with my matt black rims will look like a serious J-style 34...along with the bomex kit (hopefully customised to the wider fenders) and the rest of the car stays white. Well personally i think even the wider fenders when they pull in toward the car still makes the 34 alot more agressive and brings out the true character of the car (just my opinion) i think that agressiveness in itself really intimidates other drivers on the road, no matter what car they have, even if it be another skyline, if at worst case i will have to sell my bomex kit, and repurchase the new gtr kit...*sighs* I really wanted it all done by the time i get off my suspension at the end of October but its looking less likely that ill even be able to mount the nismo clear lights indicators and new xenons by the time i figure out whats happening lmao...ah well thanks for the help peeps... will post pics up as soon as i put it all together...

Hi all, I had a question in mind that seems to be a bit sketchy. Im sourcing some Cross Factory rear Quarter panels that are about 30mm wider than the 34 GTR wide panels and im getting some front Cross Factory fenders aswell that are bout the same size as the standard GTR 34 factory fenders. The question is my car is a 25GT and as you all know the panels are flat and arn't very agressive in looks, i know its not so dificualt to bolt these parts on to my car normally but i have a full bomex kit that i purchased and is sitting in my room to be kitted up to my stock looking 34. the problem is will the side skirts and rear bar stretch to the wider fenders and will it look ok? i seen it done on a bomex kit before but i don't know if the rear bar was a customised version, would i need alot of improvisation and customisation myself??! Is this possible to achieve or do i need to go out and buy a new kit that fits the GTR's? This is my problem and i havnt really asked around yet cause i havnt exactly purchased the parts, but i will be soon, either way i guess worst case im going to have to sell my kit if it doesnt fit and re- purchase all the parts again but as a diff kit for GTR's....argh the agony... If anyone can help it'd be very much appreciated!

Yeh i was prepared for the first reply, i dunno if i put that i can do that method too, but rather build a car fromt he ground up. As for the nissan engine option, thanks for the info, thats what i was hoping to hear, i would have to go for the 34 Nur N1 i assume since i have to get it engineered and complied to either that of a current year or higher so 33 is out of the question, as for the brakes and suspension, transmission, and all the hullah that comes with adding a higher bearing engine, i am aware of this all and hoped to do the later part over the next year or so while im on p's....that way i can just drop the motor in practically and adjust it here and there (to get it working in rear wheel) and then im set...hopefully. lol

Been looking around and i can't seem to find any place that sells the whole engine package for RB25DET or RB26DETT, withoutit being already sold, out of date (eg. selling in 04/05/06" etc) Got a few questions here: Does anyone know if Nissan only sells the N1 block or the whole engine package? (crate engine) Does anyone know where i can buy a fair shape RB25DET or RB26DETT, cause most places i been refered to seem to not have anything or they dont know themselves and jsut say to go there. I have a R34 25GT (on p's thats why its non turbo) and i want to buy engine asap to keep for when im off em. The longer i wait the harder these packages are to find in good condition. With money a slight factor, if i was to convert the 26 to rwd and chuck it in, engineered and all compared to a 25, are we looking at a huge jump in price (eg. thousands of dollars? [keep in mind i would upgrade tranny, brakes blah blah on either a 25/26] just comparing the swap out costs.) If anyone can answer my questions above i'd be very greatful. Reason i wanna get it now is cause im selling my other car for 5G (just a crapbox i got for free ) and i know i will waste that on something stupid and not save it so i might aswell get the engine now, if possible.

Hey guys, Had a bit of a hiccup with fixing my car. Recently had a bit of substantial damage to my lower right side steering and im now in search of a Steering Rack and Steering Arm for my 34. The mechanics that are fixing my car say that with most other skylines eg. 32's and 33's, that they are interchangeable within models, but with the 34's it has to be for the specific model and even down to the year of manufacture otherwise you can compromise your steering and safety. Therefore im tryna find the parts for a ER34 25GT 2 door 1998 manufacture. Right now its looking like im gonna have to buy it directly from Nissan which will cost me an arm and a leg, if i can get it anywhere else it would be greatly appreciated! If anyone has ANY idea on this situation id be glad to get some help on it. thanks to all those that can help.

Nah your right, i just asking aorund i tried thinking of all types of things to do, but can't seem to ever get it done cause theres one complication or the other...really was a matter of finding out why its worth 30AU cause if i knew what was so great about it i porbs would spend that type of money but your right for 30G theres alot of other things you can get, could probs even save another 10-20 and buy a 34 GT-R...so yeh..hmm its annoying. I wouldnt mind that N1 block thing to buy, capt to get it engineered i need a current one..eg 98+ not from a 33 etc, cause otherwise technically speaking i cant use it, and i been in aenough trouble as is with vic roads blah blah and i dont want to push it. Thats the main reason i was looking at the tomei blocks, at this rate im gonna end up with a series 2 S14 with a 2,2 stroker kit on a Sr20DET cause its looking harder n harder to get the right parts n stuff, it just takes waaay too long. soo sad and disapointed, i been reading for years literally on different things, and just too much to take in, when you think your on the right track you end up with a new problem and have to star all over again. Thanks for the help though i appreciate it, back to the drawin boards for me Oh and quick edit: yes i do reaaaaaly truely want a GT-R, its not some new phase or anything, since i was born i grew up with the name in my head, to me its got more value than just the car, has alot of memories and personal stuff attached to it. It's probably one of my dreams to own one thats achievable and will happen within the next 4 years...unless i die :S
