  1. got it mate. actually my 1st to 2nd gears been crunching after a clutch change, i'm not sure if oils play an intergral part but was thinking to change it anyhow considering how long it has been in there. Bought 5 liters of motul 75w140, im sure i could use 2 bottles in the LSD, is it okay to put the rest to the gearbox?(im not sure if 75w140 is the correct grade for the gearbox, car is a light modded gtst)

  5. hi guys, i have an ECR33 s1 and its time for my maintenance(some pulleys giving me weird noise and for the love of my car, i just want to be safe and run a full belt/items change on it, its about time too anyways). Ran a search on the forum and i found these part numbers. Just want to be sure before i place my order at a local garage, can someone clarify if these are correct?(all standard nissan items) Timing belt:13028-20P25- for rb25det non neo head Belt Fan & Alternator: AY140-40850- Belt Compressor: AY140-40910- Belt Power Steering and Oil Pump: AY140-30845- missing part numbers:(need info) Idler pulley:??????????? Tensioner Pulley:??????????? Nissan Crank Oil Seal:13510-50B10 (Not sure what is this part for, but i might just want to change it. The part number is for ER34, anyone know if it will fit my ECR33?) Should i miss out any items that need to be replaced please do let me know! Your knowledge is my powah lol.. Thank you in advance guys!!!!

  9. if all else fails, pls check on your intercooler pipping and oh might sound really stupid, but have you been using lower grade petrol? i know some gas station in my country sell mixed graded petrol.
  10. i checked mine by engaging first gear with the steering turned max and full throttle. If it spins around = lsd.
  11. cut open your afm. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Fi...html&hl=afm the connector on the left most as you look into the afm box is loose or disconnected. That is your air signal to the ecu. Get that soldered up. happy face, problem solved.
  12. if my car was popping at idle i would definitely check on the plugs first then, coil packs and its loom. i noticed if i use heat range 6 plugs the car pops like mad(wont happen until for the first 50kms or so). i've been using iridium heat range 8 or 9 all the way now.
  13. had the same symptoms(happen once in a blue moon,strungles to start,will die if i dont press on accl etc etc) I CAN DEFINITELY ASSURE YOU ITS THE AFM. check the wiring, i was sceptical to check on my AFM because it was new.Tried almost everything and doesnt work until i followed one of the tutorial here, cut open the AFM just to find one loose connection.Soldered the joints back the car has NEVER once stalled and hard to crank/start.
  14. Yeah,it was in the car for about 5-6 days and it got to a point where it pops/miss every 1-2 secs randomly on idle lol. Its all good now with fresh denso 1k24 iridium. Sounds better on morning start up, revs and runs smoother.
  15. yeah LOL i'm not sending my car back to nissan anymore mate. Just did a plug change and they swapped copper plugs meant for NA cars for me(i believe the plugs for nissan MAXIMA, couldn't be bothered to remember because i was pissed). Didn't realise it until the car missfire like mad a couple days after the service. NissASS charged me AUD25 per plugs, thats a total of AUD150 for shitty NA copper plugs WTF!!! someone tell me should i or should i not sue nissan for this!!!!! WADAFAKKKKKKKKKKKKK lol.

  17. First of all i'm not a car person if something went wrong i normally send it back to nissan for a service. Recently they were running a consult diagnos. on a new latio so i approached the technician and asked if they could check mine but they told me its pointless to check if the "check engine" light is not lit. FYI, my car runs okay but not entirely that smooth and i just wanted to check if all the minor stuffs are working , sensors, air fuel ratio , ignition timing and rpm bla bla bla. The question is, do i really need to see that red "check engine" light to know all the values for my afr,ignition timing and rpm and ESPECIALLY SENSORS? I've tried to ask around workshops that has the consult and they told me the same thing. You need to have that "check engine light" thing or its pointless to hook up the consult. someone clarify this please?

  19. sorry to hijack this post, but can i know what are the symptoms if the alternator is dying?(please) Mine is registering a constant stall at night with the headlamps and aircond on. The throttle will stop responding momentary and will stall whenever i press the brake. Sometimes when this happens(in gear), i have to press the throttle harder for the car to stay alive. Whenever it stalls, i noticed that the voltage reading is only 12v. Suspected it was the alternator and sent the car for servicing. The foreman showed me that the alternator was barely charging so I got it swapped. Thinking that this would fix the problem but it has not. Although the frequency of the car stalling has gradually decreased but it is still happening and it always shows 12v whenever I turn the key to “on” after a stall. I would also want to know if adding more grounding to the fuel pump would actually curb this? (Btw, I’m certainly sure it wasn’t my afm or bov causing the prob. )

  21. Just a quick question here, is the am oil filter for rb25det and rb26dett the same? I just took the car for a service at nissan service centre. They changed the am oil filter but from the packaging it says its meant for rb20det and rb26dett.Is this compatible with rb25det? After that i've noticed that the oil pressure sometimes read very low:1-2 engine dies if it falls too low. I've boiled down the problem to 2 possible cause:either the am oil i'm using(motul 4100 semi synthetic 15w50) or the oil filter as none of this has ever happened prior changing the am oil.If it is the oil filter that is causing the problem, what is the oil filter part number for rb25det? any help would be much appareciated, thanks guys.

  24. guys i changed my engine oil to motul power 4100 15w/50 and its been running a hell lot quiet as compared to the last fuel change with elf but the problem is now i noticed that the fuel pressure is very very low. The normal value should be at a value between 3 and 4 right?Now at cold weather it drops until 1 and i'm really worried at this. Sometimes when i warm up the car and it idles for 3 minutes then die. Can someone suggest me if its the engine oil that is causing the problem?(i have no problem prior changing it to motul)
