  1. he is such a good guy... didnt think he would still remember me told him the issue and he did say the problem I have is one that could occur due to valves.. although he did say that valve problems are pretty rare he also said he had a method of determining whether it is actually the valves without opening the head! so will def be getting the car looked over by him (not sure if i should tell PT though) was going to call him tomorrow but he called me lol... was very impressed! should have just gone to him again lol
  2. Lol whoever told yavuz the problem.. THANKYOU!
  3. Not sure but have seen it on a few progress readings.. might be a temp thing A mate said that I can have his standard valve n springs from 34 gtr rb26.. anyone know if it would fit a 33 rb26?
  4. I might have misinterpreted him i think he meant due to the cost involved in changing springs... it might be financially better to 'do' the head (if i wanted to) seeing as we're spending $$ on labour regardless anyway... going to see him on Sat and see whats the next step but prob will end up getting it to Yavuz for a 2nd opinion in the meantime, if anyone has any insights feel free to share
  5. I'm not sure.. . How is Yavuz with Haltechs? I guess it doesn't really matter when it comes to diagnosing the problem
  6. He didn't specifically say to change the head but he is saying its the springs.. he said it might be worthwhile to change the head while you're at it He said he is very confident that its the springs but as always they can't be 100% certain I'll put up dyno in a sec

  8. ok so the leak sorted the boost issue... the turbos are spooling to 25-26 pounds but the car is still struggling to make power make 320kw on e85 with 25 pounds :( Chea said he has trippled checked all the bolt ons and says everything on the outside of the motor is fine he believes its the head... more specifically the valve springs peak power right now is at 6300... car just starts struggling to breath and loses power he's done a compression test on the motor said it was healthy and believes the bottom end is all good so now we gotta change the head! any thoughts?? does this problem sound like it would be caused by dodgy valve springs?? I dont want to spend another $2k sorting the head and then finding out there is some other issue thats going to cost me another couple of grand to fix!
  9. More info on this special flange please
  10. tuner was too busy and car didnt go on the dyno rekons it will go on this arvo... who knows lol

  13. would love a cheeky 4psi gain on mine
  14. what kind of boost are we talking? from 10 to 14 or something like 22 - 26psi??
  15. yeh would def get one done to get the piece of mind that there are no leaks and yes 375kw @ 25psi with -5s is sorta low... should be nudging the 400 mark
  16. 317kw on e85 is shocking... clearly something is up with that sort of power on -9s we've found the leak... going to fix it then try again!
  17. ok found the problem! they did a smoke test and found that one of the gasket/hoses on the intake side under the plenum is cracked and is leaking pressure not the motor but still a 3/4 day job to take it out and fix it... labour is going to bend me over! but it should make good power once its sorted!
  18. lets hope so
  19. Got some bad news Car is struggling to make power Made 317kw at 22psi on e85 They are going to run some tests on it tomorrow to see what the problem is
