  2. sorry boys.. the fabricater has taken his sweet ass time with the exhaust so it hasnt actually gone on the dyno yet all the mods are done now so it will get tuned Mon/Tue

  5. the injectors depends on the style of your tuner... but isnt the rule to add an extra 30% on top and see if the injectors can support it... with 740cc you would probably get away with 300kw but would be at 80-90% duty cycle in terms of the ECU, I'm going with the Haltech PS2000 for my 33 GTR I'm doing the flex fuel too, using PowerTune in Sydney. Dunno about other ECUs but the Haltech needs another input thingi to be able to read the e85 sensor signal Its not cheap lol... I know you said you were after e85 for safety as well rather than 300kw alone but I rekon you could just buy a 3076 and tune that and the cost will still be less than half of what it would cost to go new ecu and do a flex fuel tune

  10. yeh i just had a quick look around... they seem to be 4K+ pretty much tripple the price of a 33 box... not gonna spend that much coin... back to the old 5 speed!

  12. oookkk bit of a hiccup gave a hit in 2nd and went for 3rd and the gearbox went BANG! no more 3rd gear box is goooonnneee anyone in sydney have a GTR box for sale?? if i dont get one by the weekend I'm going to have to push the mods back
  13. aaah your situation is different to mine i guess... i got tiny -9s so I want to cram as much boost through them as I can to make the power lol I just spoke to Chea and he confirmed that my boost will also vary depending on the ethanol percentage in the tank Boost, Fuel & Timing will all change accordingly to ethanol % mine is getting a Haltech boost solenoid so the boost will be controlled by the Haltech ECU too
  14. really? i would have thought the boost would be lower if your e85 % is lower... e.g. if i have 100% 98 then I'd expect to run 22psi or so... anything higher could possibly cause big problems.... will check with the Tuner tomorrow on this....
  15. Realistically I think I will get a top end between 350 - 370kw... I just want e85 for the fat mid range And flex fuel is pretty much a necessity for me.. closest eflex is 15+ km away
  16. yep standard cams... wanted more mid range than anything else really the Haltech doesnt have a e85 guage as such but you can monitor the % if you hook it up to a laptop cant wait
  17. yep if you boys want some let me know... they pretty good value too... think they set me back $300 running the stock cooler... was going to upgrade but have been told by numerous ppl (including the tuner) that it will be fine

  19. PT did another stock RB26 with -5s which made 410kw and is holding strong so far... we'll see... if it pops its just an excuse to rebuild lets see what happens... gotta push the boundaries every so often

  21. PowerTune is doing it.. went with them as Chea knows his way around Haltechs and has done the flex tune with them previously
  22. I sure hope so.. that amount of boost should be OK with e85 The front pipes are custom.. got a shop to fabricate em.. I think they are 3.25" from merge to tip... Can't remember to be honest.. ill put up a pic later
  23. ok boys and girls car has been booked in with the tuner and should be ready within a fortnight. Current mods: - PFC - -9s with 18psi - 3.25" front pipes - 3" cat - 3/3.5" catback - Stock injectors and AFMs made 270rwkw @ 15psi with a shitty compliance cat and exhaust on it... is prob making around 280rwkw at the moment new mods (the major ones) will be as follows: - Haltech ECU - Haltech boost controller plugin - Twin Intank bosch pumps - 1000cc Injectors - Aftermarket fuel rail - de cat - 3.5" catback - EFLEX Tune (allows to run a mixture of both 98 and e85) Plan is to chuck it on United e85 and wind the boost up to around 28-30psi and see what she makes hoping for around 380kw Stay tuned!
