  1. powertune has made some crazy power with the PB turbos go for e85... wind the boost up and enjoy!
  2. really? arent there only like 7-8 caltex ones in sydney??
  3. there is no other turbo that sounds as good as the t51
  4. not yet looks like im going to need a better clutch to handle the rise in power so getting that sorted first
  5. Powertune can do it too I'm going to go through them
  6. keep your gtst-t and tweak your wife's mini best of both worlds
  7. Saw your umm... Let's say exit at the TSI meet the other night Loved it!
  8. Would you consider separating? I'd be keen on just the bit after the front pipes
  9. also since we are talking about coils failing I installed splitfires installed on my old GTS-T and it was making around 280kw the new owner told me a month or two ago that one of the coilpacks had let go they were probably in for about 15months so Splitfires fail too although the new owner did give the car alot of stick
  10. just put in new yellow jackets the misfire above 5k is gone and there seems to be a bit more power throughout the rev range (guess its back to what the power should be) lets see how long they last... hopefully I dont have to utilise the 2 year warranty btw car is no slouch... R33 GTR making 290kw or so bought em off ebay on sunday... were at my doorstep when I got home from work on Tuesday... was very impressed with delivery time
  11. just installed em... misfire is no more! hopefully they stay like that for the next few years
  12. i like my ppssh sound plus i got a good price so decided to put them on... been driving around with the stockers for a while and I kinda miss the sound... each to their own thought there would be stalling issues... ill get em put on when the haltech goes on
  13. Hey.. I'm planning on installing aftermarket bovs (blitz super sound dd) soon but I just wanted to check if installing them on a gtr tuned using a pfc with stock bovs will cause any dramas. I've heard there could be stalling issues Anyone with any thoughts/prior experiences?
  14. dont think you need it... mine is making around 300kw at the moment and its fine
  15. he also said 1000cc should suffice...
  16. so talked to a reputatble tuner (in sydney) tonight he's going to be tuning my car going forward i've decided to go with a Haltech for dual maps BP98 shoud get be 320-330 all day everyday and with e85 he said I'll be able to run 27psi and the motor should be fine (he said he's done a fair few unopened RBs with this much boost and its all fine) and he also said it should crack 380-400kw with e85 also asked him about cams and cam gears with -9s he said there is no need for cams (which seems to be the consensus on here as well)... nor cam gears (which I thought was a little weird) but I'm gonna go with what he says and see what happens car should be going in about 5-6 weeks so will keep you all updated P.S dont start bashing the tuner or me... positive comments only please
  17. As title states... need another one of these (see pic below) for the GTR.... would prefer with skyline adaptor plate and would prefer in sydney need it within the next 2 weeks... PM me if you like to contact me Cheers Umair
  18. this thing looks mint... GL with the sale
  19. I'm near blacktown... as far as I know the closest one is at richmond and I dont have a 2nd car so the skyline is the daily... even though it doesnt get driven everyday
  20. Yeh I'm gonna.. as soon as caltex get some elfex around my area Would b interesting with -9s ID1000s won't b enough?
  21. what makes you say that? as long as you have fuel setup sorted and you have appropriate boost control there shouldnt b too much dramas ppl say you get 15-20% increase in power from e85 so a 330kw GTR should crack 375kw on e85... theoritically atleast
  22. -9s + 24psi + e85 = ~400kw? well not 400 but id say 375kw+ right? best of both worlds
