Hey guys so ive been informed by my tuner that my GT3071R is on its way out... and he has highly recommended that I buy another turbo because my current one will not last longer than a few weeks... He doesnt believe (and I agree) that we should rebuild the current one as it will not be feasible So I'm now after an internally gated GT3076 (figured might aswell try to get some more power if im gonna spend all that money) tried to do a search on here but im getting like 24 pages of results so yeah since I bought my turbo 2nd hand off a guy on SAU, I have no clue where to shop for turbos besides nengun and ebay the only place I've found is www.tweakit.net I could ring around turbo shops like GCG and all that, but does any one have any websites that I can go to compare prices? GT3071R made 258rwkw on 18psi was having some misfiring issues on high boost and pretty sure the dump i have is crap

$900 for an oil seal repair?! blardi hell ive got z32 AFM so not MAP sensored... intercooler pipes are fine... it could be the excessive oil being pumped like Bunta said... as long as i know my turbo hasnt copped it (which it doesnt seem like it has) im happy... just gotta figure out how to stop it from happeneing again so how do i go about gettin the oil outta the cooler piping? will it do itself if i fix the issue or do i have to pull the setup apart n clean them?

yeh there is no oil catch can setup... didnt think i needed one as this setup has been done hundreds of times without a catch can do u guys think it's just the oil seal? no major damage to worry about right? noob questions: there isnt suppose to be any oil running through the intercooler piping right?

hey guys im pretty sure this has already been covered on the forums before but i tried doing a search and nothing came up so ill just ask again I have oil coming out of my intercooler piping!!!.. do u rekon its the oil seal? or maybe something to do with the oil line? i noticed something was wrong last night.... the car was running sluggish.... turbo wasnt spooling as quickly as it usually does... BOV wasnt as loud as it normally is.. my friend had the same thing happened to his stocky a few years back and it was his oil seal so he got that replaced then a couple of months later the turbo went anyway so im freaking out a bit here mine is far from stock too so im even more worried.. it has: GT3071R turbo (fitted only about 3 months ago) custom intake piping oil and water lines have been changed too... the turbo seems to be working fine atm... still hits boost (not as quickly) and there is a little loss of power... but im just worried im gonna starve it of oil or sumthin and its gonna go so the car is in the garage until i figure out the problem... im gonna ring the tuner too tomorrow to see what he rekons but just wanted to ask u guys on here... thanks

exactly... got pulled over the other day... only got defected for pod as they could not see my low mount 3071R gotta do something about that pod tho... $84 everytime i get pulled over... PS buy my 260rwkw Skyline... much cheaper than building one yourself OP

a mate of mine just bought an R34 GTT with alot of brand name goodies on it for $16,500 PFC HDC coilovers Greddy EBC Greddy FMIC HKS BOV Defi Guages etc but u get what you pay for cuz as soon as he got it... his tranny gave him problems... his tune is farked we think as the car just stalls when u put it in neutral... bottom line... save up a bit more and get yr car inspected before you buy because you really do get what you pay for

can i just buy one of those small fire extinguishers and chuck it in the back seat? and how much is for cams license... i've been to these once and would love to go again with new the mods in

are 360's in the same price range as R35's over in jap? they are significantly more expensive here? i know of a 360 spider on sale for $250k... much more pricey here i guess... but yeh 360 over a GTR...

bought my car from them... have recommended them to everyone of my friends that are after an import.... brother will soon be buying a GTR from them... and as long as I'm into imports I'm gonna get my rides from them (unlike there is something local at an unbelievable price )

Parra is awesome... I used to work there for almost 4 years... 20 mins from home now im in the city... an 1 hour from home :@ but there are some nice buildings with places for rent, especially the new ones near the Albion Hotel (not bad on a sat night)... be careful about pricing tho.. especially when yr about to buy rather than rent... a mate of my mine was thinking of moving in there... saw an apartment.. liked it... got an independant evaluation done and the company was asking abour 30k more than what it was worth... But it terms on transport to city it would be pretty sweet... Catch the express trains and u should be in the city within half hour few things to look out for... the ulehs will come out on a thu night... parra maccas shud be bombed the area is starting to become a big curry hang out (i can say it cuz im a curry myself )... but most of em are smelly international students that live in harris park... im not liking it lol (suppose they gotta live sumwhere tho)

can some please explain this tall diff business for the newbies out there

1. COST - $700 for full first time tune 2. Mods you have done - FMIC, Apexi Pod Filter, GT3071R, Exhaust, Profec B, Spitfire Coilpacks, 550cc Injectors, Walbro Pump, z32 AFM 3. Where u did it - Unigroup Engineering in Sydney 4. How long it took - Gave it in about 5 days ago to put the turbo, injectors, fuel pump, AFM and PFC. Should be done in 10 days total 5. Comments - I've heard good things about unigroup and the initial meeting went very well. They have kept me informed of the progress. Will update when I have the car back.
