Nengun.. i bought s1 Splitfire Coilpacks for $492 delivered...

apparently the iridium ones are gapped to .8 i changed em too n nothin happened... get the coilpaks dude... makes massive difference

just make sure its not a bomb.... i bought mine for 10K with a year's rego on it back in november... apart from changing oil and spark plugs... $200 tops... i have not spent any more money in terms of maintanence and repair... sure i've forked out close to $2500 on mods and labour but thats a different itch u are sure to get

my misfire was pretty consistant, 2nd gear was the worst. if i had less than half a tank it would be a little worse but if i had my foot down it wud misfire everytime so i did some homework as around n found splitfire ones were the best there are cheaper alternatives but didnt wanna risk spending $300 and not fixing the problem. i got mine for $492 from nengun, took like 3 weeks so if u want them a little quicker, one of the traders on here is selling for $520 or sumthin..

lol true that... i snapped 3 of my iridium plugs when changing them... had to fork out another $45 for em lol

mate i had the same problem too... got my splitfire coilpacks in on the weekend and it works like a charm now... i used to get misfire in pretty much every gear above 5000RPM. Now its fine, smooth all the way to redline... spend the $500 on the coilpacks... seams a lot but well worth it after the results i saw on my car.

ive just upgraded from 2x 12" fusions to 1 12" Alpine... sounds way better and got alot more room in the boot too.... make sure u get the right enclosure for it as it makes a world of difference..

i think i should have described it differently... i didnt mean find a good piece of road and become mr race car driver.... just somewhere that can legally allow you to have a bit of fun... driving within the rules on a good road can be enjoyable

I was just watching the top gear episode where they took the lambo, porsche and the aston martin to italy and switzerland to find a good piece of tarmc and it got me pumped to find a place in NSW (preferrably around sydney) where you could unleash some of your car's potential. Somewhere with minimal traffic, great views, the curvy bends, the long straights and the smooth roads. Any input guys?

my dad always wanted me to get a newer, smaller, slower car, but when i took him in the car for a test drive, i could tell from the smile on his face that things would be ok. he still gets the shits when i buy things for it. always have to tell him the prices were half of what i actually paid for them.

it could just mean that the piping is suited for it... there are different sorts of kits so it varies u still might have to drill holes and modify the bar... the spec m intercooler was for the r33 but i still had to drill n cut so yeh... if they are the cheaper kits, chances are that u probably will have to do some sort of modifying.

ok quick noob question... sorry to hijack thread.. but my r33gtst misfires like crazy aftrer 5000RPM. I changed mine about 5000ks ago (the iridium ones) but it still does it... how do i gap them to 0.8? can it be the coil packs? its driving me crazy... just saps the power...

i had to drill a hole in the body and cut the front bar on my s2 r33 gtst to fit my core and piping... its a Greddy Spec M Intercooler Kit... do it yourself, its not hard.... just takes a while.. you'll save like $400 do a search dude... lot of info on this topic

i threw in some royal purple over the weekend along with a new oil filter.... didnt have any noticable difference...... dunno what the big hype around that product is.... hopefully its good protection... ah well... motul next time...

i've got pioneer 6x9s in my S1... they fit easy... I just had to use some lifters and take the protection cover thingi off otherwise they wouldnt fit due to the angle of the window
