The short ratio getrag together with 4.11 diff has transformed the car. Its so much more revvy. 30 psi snaps on much harder and revs out so much quicker. Its actually hard to hold it in a straight line. I tried to record it but my phone holder couldn't hold the heavy ass s8+. Ill try again with a sturdier holder. All 4 wheels light up slamming it in 2nd on gate pressure. Think the old single plate may have been slipping. Crazy fun car now. Feels like it has much more low down take off. Can put around in 5th without needing to drop down a gear. Highway driving is a little annoying with it being at 3,000rpm cruising at 110km in 6th. And the box is noiser from the twin plate and conversion but its a small price to pay for how much more fun the car is rowing through the gears.

CRG manifold - cheaper than 6boost and I kept my aircon.

The conversion is more so to put a stronger box in rather than chase even more response. Need a strong box as these 5 speeds just keep popping with ~500kw and my driving style. I'll change the diff in the future if I feel the 4.11 diff is too annoying. Everyone I've spoken to who has done the conversion with the 32/33 diff loves it. See how we go

Finally got my hands on a 34 GTR tail shaft. Going to do the 34 GETRAG conversion while retaining r33 GTR diff gears for even shorter gear ratios. 8374 with even shorter ratios = super responsive street car

3.2 should just bring it on earlier. 2.6L should still make same peak power if revved hard enough My gate pressure was approx 21 psi and mine mad 390kw on JEMs dyno and then 500kw on 31 psi on a freak run (call it 490kw) so it is roughly 9kw per psi which is why 480rwkw on 23 Surprised me. Rw to awkw could make diff. And no on speed sensor. Been flogging it on 30 psi as it is

and you know 25 = 127k? is it to keep them alive or are you saying it wont anymore power beyond 127k i was about to turn mine up to 34psi haha -

if you have studs n metal gasket it is fairly safe i launch on 2 step every now and then 15 psi off the line smokes all four in first but bogs into second if you dont stay on it in 1st gear box hates 2 step -

i have a complete getrag box with twin plate clutch i could consider selling for the right price only thing needed to do conversion into 32/33 GTR is a tail shaft -
By the way gents, I'm gonna cram another 3-4 psi into the 8374 towards June/July when the weather cools down See if the stock bottom end can take it

I've got 8374 1.06 on a 2.6 For a 2.8L i'd def go 9180 1.05

what are people's thoughts on the impact on the 1/4 MPH when comparing the 32 GTR with a 33/34 GTR. 500kw on a 32 would give you 140mph, however the 33/34 have another ~100kgs on the 32. From some calculators online, it seem the MPH would be 3-4 miles lower on a 33/34 GTR with the exact same setup as a result of the additional weight. Partially explains why all the fastest street GTRs are 32s...

Here's my manifold if anyone is interested. Told CRG it was for a twin scroll and they made it accordingly. My lag could be attributed to the gate being too big. Big old tech 60 mm Tial was off my old setup so may not be ideal size. Too much off an expensive exercise to change it over a hunch so it's staying put I'm afraid.

on a twin scroll manifold with twin gates you will get 33psi by 4400 on an rb26 in hindsight, I should have gone a twin gate setup as my single 60mm old tech gate seems to be causing lag on my 8374. I get 29 psi around 4400 whereas my mates 32 GTR with a built 26 twin gate will see 33psi on similar revs.

134MPH.... didnt stack up to power.... could be due to: - Not having the boost it was tuned at on the night - should have had 31psi but it was running 29psi - Me taking it easy during gear shifts due to standard box Will go back eventually.... blew the box 2 weeks ago so might wait until I have something stronger.

One of the bosses at work bought one. He told me I could take it for a spin........... waiting on him to be back from leave already!
