  1. Marketing, I'd bet. "I run the fuel the V8 supercars run on"...
  2. Have a look at this. Another option. Pretty impressive.
  3. They're cheap enough. Buy a new one while it's all apart and do it. Piece of mind is worth it in itself.
  4. Photobucket account. It's free.
  5. That's exactly what mine did. The rear had a spas attack with the extra grip from the front end... Single peggers FTL!
  6. Usmair had the Holden "E85" badge above the rear GTR badge. If you zoom in, you can see it.
  7. Why not try a different brand altogether? Motul, royal purple? Why restrict yourself to redline?
  8. As far as I know, the PPG uses the factory synchro gear The AYC uses their own synchro setup. Marcus was saying they're pretty slick to use. However, they don't like to be launched.
  9. OS GIKEN 1-3/1-5 or the PPG helical synchro gearset would be the most friendly on the street. AYC do a gearset but it's not cheap. That's a synchro box also.
  10. If you're gonna go cams. Stock, type R or mines shore pro 2. Tomei type b's, too much duration for lift given. Pm XKALABA. He has done a back to back between the 260 and 250 poncam. Sometimes, bigger isn't better.
  11. True that. Your feed pumps are practically silent!
  12. Nor should it either. Same ethanol %, just the fuel part of it is rated higher.
  13. A lot can be tuned out. Get the "twin turbo pipe mod" done, a decent computer, make sure the actuators are set up the same and a tuner that knows what they're doing. You shouldn't really be shuffling with baby -9's.
  14. Don't waste your time with a second hand loom. Brand new OEM. They're not expensive.
  15. You're not the first bloke to have this issue. I haven't personally though.
  16. Stroke it and use the 8374.
  17. Just put it in an acoustic rated box, on a box trailer and tow it.
  18. Set the limit higher and keep an eye on the tacho. Shift at an indicated 7000-7500 rpm and all will be fine.
  19. Have been running a Tomei 2.8 since 2005. Popped an oil pump in 2012 and put the crank back in. There are for and against arguments for full counter and semi counter cranks.. In theory full counter are better, but, keep the revs sane and match everything up , does it matter? You're after a "response" setup. If you need to rev more than 8500 rpm then you're doing it wrong.
  20. This is true, but I call bullshit. Mine has been working fine for the last 9 years with the Nismo slave. No idea why they say this.
  21. Bosch 044 has a working lifespan of 500 hours on E85. Just something to consider.
  22. Nismo plenum!!! Big spenda!!!
  23. Even on a 2.8, go the 60's. For the last two years you've been talking about "response". 60 mm will make enough power.
