  1. Specs can't be released until we know the results. I don't exactly know what they are. PS Your turbo arrived today. It will be sent off tomorrow.
  2. OK. Finally a little update I got my balance tube back from HKS. That got ported and matched up to the port size and shape of my head I took it out to Hypertune so it could get modified for whats called the "JUN cooling mod"... Well that seems to be the most common name for it. Keen eyes will notice the 6 holes where the air would be have now been filled up and the water galleries have been tapped to accept a fitting. Out of each of these there will a -4 line that goes to a header tank. The wiring loom has to move so that will be rerun under the runners of the plenum. Also there has been a camshaft change. Unigroup (Well Yavuz) went and picked a lobe that was much more aggresive than what the Japs have to offer.

  4. Fkn awsome man! Gotta get this thing up pumping! Yavuz is keen to tune your car so that's no issue!
  5. Dropped off the standard buckets today and sump. Let's see what the baby -5's can do. 450 or bust!
  6. Is that a precision I see? Any chance you can flick us a PM with the specs of the setup. A graph would be great too
  7. Sorry haven't seen it. Been trying to defend ralfing every weekend.... It's normal up here haha. I'll definately get in on the "ash shit" though :D
  8. Oh no, what did you do!!?!?!??! Fluro green cage .
  9. Too much thinking about it/text book maybe? I'd never go back to a AFM based ECU again.
  10. Wrecker? Use the standard case?
  11. No tapping required. Just run a line from anywhere really. The shorter the better *in theory*.
  12. Twin tips.... all stock looking and stuff. 2 Hours before it died.
  13. Have driven a few JB clutches. Yeah, no. Not a fan. My Coppermix twin has done no less than 250 big RPM launches in its life (been in the car for 7 years in total). Pulled it out when I lunched then engine and its going straight back in. No rebuild, no new plates, no nothing. (There is pics of the plates in my build thread) Feels a tad heavier than standard (esp with the Nismo slave). There has been many threads about these things. Everyone that owns one won't use anything else. Speaks for itself I think.
  14. For the little extra that somethinkg like a Link G4 costs it really is a no brainer. If you get a D Jetro PFC, factor in the cost of installing the 2 MAP sensors (Intake off and back on) you would be damn close to the cost of a better ECU. Despite what people say, the newer ECU's drive alot better than the FC. At the end of the day they are a old ECU. They will do the job...but for what really is an insignificant amount, you can get something that is alot better.
  15. Just don't hit the limiter. Is it REALLY that hard? Set the limter at 8500 RPM and shift at 8000 RPM and get your tuner to pull a shit load of timing out before the hard cut. It seems that the older N1 pump's are more reliable than the new ones (Just like the above post has suggested) Buy a Tomei, don't bash limiter. Issue solved.
  16. Well that makes sense then!
  17. Ahh, stupid people
  18. Why the twin gates if not twin scroll?
  19. Meh. I've moved my to down near the chassis rail. Can't see shit
  20. Yeah getting there man. This thing is gonna cop the biggest raping of its life when its back together! Yeah I know man, however it's so close to being put together that Im not going to take such a critical part away from the builder. Sick of waiting.... Need to be launching! LOL Well, i've had them in the car for a little bit (100 kms or so). They were firm but also compliant (if that makes sense). I'd it's the valving in them. I was expecting it to be 4 gum tree stumps in there. That was on 19's with 30 series tyres, so i'd hope to think that with a 265-285 35 x 18 tyre will help.... even if ever so slightly.
  21. What size piston did you go for? 77.7 x 87 is 2770 cc
  22. Im sure the dyno sheet will tell enough seeing that the 5's are going back on first.
