+1. I own one and it's great. The tall first is a cool thing too, although I'd say you'd really need a stroker to get the most of out this box. The tall gear's can work against you on a 'peaky curve' car.
I don't think it would make a difference man. The GTX have a much bigger inlet to the comp wheel than the "GTR friendly" turbos.
The GTX low mounts simply just aren't bolt on .
Here is a little intake mod you can do Dan. It's a little bit more dicking around though.
Rear turbo intake pipe
Here you can see the inside of a standard one. Note the "Hump"
Modified one. Doesnt look pretty but thats just the flash doing it's thing.
Front standard pipe with the modified one from the outside.
Standard vs modified internally. Note the lack of "Hump"
It definately can't hurt. The rear one comes in a fair way, reducing from the 2 inch pipe to a '1.7ish' at its smallest point.
Don't have back to back's as the modified set is going on my engine..... when it comes
I went down and asked GCG myself. They reckon it just won't work with these wheels but who knows? It's a lot of money and effort to throw in the bin if it's a flop.
Just waiting on the engine guys. Head gasket arrives this week.
Had a few things sprayed black. Surge tank, Nismo plenum and AFM blanking plates.
Other than that, nothing to report. Once the engine gets back it will be on like donkey kong
