  1. Oh I'll doubt that. By the time I get it, engine in, box in, tune it and all the rest of the crap. Doubt it.
  2. When is Texi? Possibly. Need somewhere to 'shake it down'
  3. Pics fresh in from the land of the rising sun. A few pics of the head. The 'marks' on the face of the head is just sticky gunk from it being packed up. A little bit of petrol and it will be sweet. New 87 mm Tomei pistons with Ti top ring and Valve relief so I can run Vcam in the future if i want to be a dickhead. HKS Step 2 valve springs. JUN Ti retainers Some pretty Tomei stickers Parts missing are the exhaust manifolds which are matched to the head and I sent a manifold to turbine housing gasket to japan to be matched up. Cams are missing I also had a 'balance tube' port matched up. Parts will come in dribs and drabs to not get anally bashed by customs!!! Block and rods were taken down to the engine builder on Friday. When the pistons arrive the crank and the pistons will be taken down. Head will be in the country on the 12th of May.
  4. Well that was easy. Sold guys. No more PM's
  5. Hi mate. Umm I bought them about 3 years ago from a guy in Melbourne, so no not really. I've done maybe 12,000 kms on them. No knocks and no leaks. I'd still have them in the car if I didn't buy my R Tunes.

  7. Not when you factor in $600 ish Nismo AFM's ontop of your 7-800 for a second hand Power FC. It's really a no brainer. Yes the FC will do the job but the higher end ECU's like a Autornic SM4, Link/Vipec will do it much better.
  8. Twin 3 inch from dumps back.
  9. I bought one 3 years ago but never fitted it. Feedback? PM if you can.
  10. Standard rear housings are .64 man. Gav made 500 through them, if youre only after 450 why go to the added expense? Either way, results will be interesting
  11. Search that in the forced induction section on SAU. Some very informative posts that will explain all
  12. It's a very scary sight. Better not to look at it and pretend it isn't there!
  13. Yep. Search 'new RB parts with results'. It's a write up of what the solution is and performed on my own car. It's not the ONLY option but it's off the shelf.
  14. Cheers karnt. Yeah, running round on semis and a stock sump isn't the smartest idea. Us NSW guys and our SBS (sump baffle syndrome) as Ash likes to call it
  15. It's a.... Different diff. They don't have clutch packs in them, they have gears. Gav and R32TT (Matty) have them in their cars and love them to bits. They do the same sort of driving as what we do so that was good enough. Time will tell.
  16. Any info about this mate or is it a little hush hush?
  17. http://www.hks-power.co.jp/en/products/engine/rb26_vcam/index.html Click me ^^^
  18. HKS do make them still There are 3 versions. The first 1 uses a 248 degree cam @ 8.7 mm of lift and swings 30 degree's. Step 2 uses a 264 @ 8.7 mm lift and swings a little more. I think its 50 degree's Step 3 uses a 264 @ 10.0 mm lift and swings 55 degrees. (This is all off the top of my head so it may not be spot on) I have asked the question to the guy from HKS that built my head over the past 12 months which version I should use. On a 2.8 with -5's he recomended the Step 2. Hope that helps.
  19. A few goodies turned up today. First my crank Second my quaife front diff centre. Pistons arrive next week sometime. Sump will be dropped off to Racepace in Melbourne to get modified to their specs. 9.5 Litre oil changes will get exxy!
  20. This is whats wrong with the Nissan CAS. A log from my own car.
  21. 67 mm versions. Considering the result Gav made with the 63 mm versions (500 rwkw at 26 psi), this will be one wild ride! Tial housing? Whats different with them and why the decision not to stick with the housing's that come with the HKS and Garrett versions of the large low mounts?
  22. So tell me why im a measly15 kw behind you on smaller turbo's on less boost..? 2.0 bar trailing back to 24 psi im at 24 trailing back to 22?
  23. I like how you seem to know more about my cylinder head than myself seeing that its now a "standard head". Ring up Yavuz now and he said himself the night we were tuning "450 is just a intake cam twist away" and that was with baby 5's. We were going to go for a 'hero run' but for what? Satisfy some bloke on SAU? Look at Racepace and their king dick engine that is 1.5 seconds slower around Winton than a V8 supercar. Makes more power than your's on 20 psi on 98 with a curve to die for with 449 kw. But I spose that setup is crap too because it didn't crack 450? Gav made 462 rwkw. Ryan 1200 is at 440 with 2530's. But hang on....... What sort of "GUN" setup needs to be driven in 1st to make the car move To the OP. After seeing the results on N1GTR's car with a DIRECT COMPARISON (ONLY thing changed was the turbo's) between the high and almighty RS's and 5's there is no comparison. It's comical and just downright rude! I will not be posting the graph as it is not mine to post. This discussion and argument has been had many times. It just goes round and round in circles. There is a reason why the 'circuit' guys got rid of the RS's... that thing called area under the curve. Which curve would you rather? Since went onto make 620 HP at the treads. "Oh but 5's have no top end". Yep The ONLY result that I have seen over the years that has been awsome with the RS's was Diemar's. He said himself that you need a huge dollar head to get them to work properly and that's something that most guys wont do.
  24. When I first bought my car MOST of the shuffle was out of it. I put on a duel entry ARC cooler (and lost my BOV return pipe so the BOV's were blocked off) and that was an outright disaster with shuffling.
