  1. ^^ in regards to the % duty on 1000's I sailed past 50 % duty of my ID 2000's VERY early on into the tuning process.... I didnt take much notice of what the Duty was at the end of it but personally I would be putting in the 2000's in.
  2. You MUST run a far bigger return from the surge tank to the main tank or your going to pressurise the whole system which is what happened to Pupsi. Imagine you have a stock pump as a lifter and 2 x 044s after your surge tank and your engine is at idle.......you have about 6 liters per minute of fuel from the main tank just flowing through the surge tank keeping it flooded, with that pump alone there may be "very slight" pressure in the surge tank even if the return is the same size as the feed. At idle your engine is consuming very little fuel so its not using much of the 6 liters per minute the lift pump is supplying and most of the fuel your 2 x 044s are flowing is comming straight back to the surge tank. Your return from the surge to the main tank is already being used to capacity to keep up with the 6 liters per minute the lift pump is supplying so how is the extra 10 liters or so per minute from the engine suppose to get back from the surge tank to the main tank without creating pressure? Robbie. That there is quoted from Robbie from RIPS off the pommie forum. Similar thread! I suppose a cheap way around this is throw another -6 fitting in the surge tank and run 2 return lines back to the main tank.
  3. I will do that very soon. It will be easier to see what an 044 pumps the my Nismo lift but they flow almost the same. I WILL return with the results
  4. Super dooper auto barn. Its just a crush washer. Nothing special. Bought the pump down to the shop and spilt fuel all over the counter... oops haha.
  5. It will be tuned on the United E85 so I would assume that would be 85%. But I now see what your saying. If you tune it on the "E70" and you get "E85" a few litres of normal fuel would make it a bit more even. But are you going to bust out the lab in the fuel station to work out what it is everytime you need a tank of juice?
  6. haha. I blame my oldies. Im playing taxi's myself today. Leak is fixed. No leaks anywhere now.
  7. Well the pump is off the car. We (I) forgot to put one of the crush washers on the line side of the pump and had that little leak. Rookie head...... muck around with fuel pumps.... or lay on the lounge with a beer and watch the V8 Stupid cars.... hmmm
  8. How will 5 litre of petrol fix the issue when the ethanol content is already less then it should/needs to be?
  9. Not real impressed with Caltex's reason to swing between E70 and E85. Might be OK for those commodores but not for us with a single tune for 85% Ethanol.!!!
  10. Where did you mount it?
  11. Thats another option. Wouldnt be too hard to do either. Steve said that last night too!
  12. Here is a new issue. Over filling over the surge tank. Now having 2 044's feeding the engine not all the fuel is going to be used. The fuel heats up and expands..... Has anyone split a tank due to excessive pressure? There is a thread on the pommie forum about this. The line back to my main tank from the surge is the same as the incoming return..... Maybe I should have made it a few sizes bigger!!! BAH!
  13. Freaking the sphincter of the universes!!!! How hard is it to get a line right?
  14. Bent crank? WTF? What crank was it out of curiosity?
  15. It would be nice if the number started with a 5. At 2 bar it would want to hope so!
  16. Nismo lift into surge and both 044's mounted on the surge. I was discussing with Steve today that IF it comes to it we might have to make a bracket and mount one next to the surge. Thing is how do we merge the 3rd pump into the 2 lines? Hmm?
  17. Well thats a little comforting!
  18. Did you pass?
  19. Stock exterior with the front lower lip in black. Clean, simple and stock
  20. ^^^ with any luck I will have the results on Friday arvo. The good thing about this is there will be two maps done.... 98 and E85. Same dyno, same tuner, same setup 1 day apart.
  21. LOL. No comment. Yeah mate. Take it anytime you want. Its mine so yeah whatever. The Nismo intank pump flows 4.6L/min at 3.0kg/cm2.. BUT it wont be at 3bar (close enough) so it shuld flow more. It would be nice to have 2 pumps lifting to the surge but really I think thats overkill. Might be a question for Rob from RIPS? He would know. That bloke is a nutter!
  22. We will chuck a multimetre at the pumps tomorrow before we leave mine. Being directly off the battery it should be whatever that is!
  23. I might have to drop my fuel pressre sensor back in for the tune Steve. Watch that Fuel pressure like a hawk!
  24. That is not good news! I got no room for a 3rd pump dammit!
