  1. Super dooper auto barn. Its just a crush washer. Nothing special. Bought the pump down to the shop and spilt fuel all over the counter... oops haha.
  2. It will be tuned on the United E85 so I would assume that would be 85%. But I now see what your saying. If you tune it on the "E70" and you get "E85" a few litres of normal fuel would make it a bit more even. But are you going to bust out the lab in the fuel station to work out what it is everytime you need a tank of juice?
  3. haha. I blame my oldies. Im playing taxi's myself today. Leak is fixed. No leaks anywhere now.
  4. Well the pump is off the car. We (I) forgot to put one of the crush washers on the line side of the pump and had that little leak. Rookie head...... muck around with fuel pumps.... or lay on the lounge with a beer and watch the V8 Stupid cars.... hmmm
  5. How will 5 litre of petrol fix the issue when the ethanol content is already less then it should/needs to be?
  6. Not real impressed with Caltex's reason to swing between E70 and E85. Might be OK for those commodores but not for us with a single tune for 85% Ethanol.!!!
  7. Where did you mount it?
  8. Thats another option. Wouldnt be too hard to do either. Steve said that last night too!
  9. Here is a new issue. Over filling over the surge tank. Now having 2 044's feeding the engine not all the fuel is going to be used. The fuel heats up and expands..... Has anyone split a tank due to excessive pressure? There is a thread on the pommie forum about this. The line back to my main tank from the surge is the same as the incoming return..... Maybe I should have made it a few sizes bigger!!! BAH!
  10. Freaking the sphincter of the universes!!!! How hard is it to get a line right?
  11. Bent crank? WTF? What crank was it out of curiosity?
  12. It would be nice if the number started with a 5. At 2 bar it would want to hope so!
  13. Nismo lift into surge and both 044's mounted on the surge. I was discussing with Steve today that IF it comes to it we might have to make a bracket and mount one next to the surge. Thing is how do we merge the 3rd pump into the 2 lines? Hmm?
  14. Well thats a little comforting!
  15. Did you pass?
  16. Stock exterior with the front lower lip in black. Clean, simple and stock
  17. ^^^ with any luck I will have the results on Friday arvo. The good thing about this is there will be two maps done.... 98 and E85. Same dyno, same tuner, same setup 1 day apart.
  18. LOL. No comment. Yeah mate. Take it anytime you want. Its mine so yeah whatever. The Nismo intank pump flows 4.6L/min at 3.0kg/cm2.. BUT it wont be at 3bar (close enough) so it shuld flow more. It would be nice to have 2 pumps lifting to the surge but really I think thats overkill. Might be a question for Rob from RIPS? He would know. That bloke is a nutter!
  19. We will chuck a multimetre at the pumps tomorrow before we leave mine. Being directly off the battery it should be whatever that is!
  20. I might have to drop my fuel pressre sensor back in for the tune Steve. Watch that Fuel pressure like a hawk!
  21. That is not good news! I got no room for a 3rd pump dammit!
  22. Yeah fair call. Both surges are are about 5 litres. Nismo pump feeding both i think (well mine atleast). Now thats not exacatly under pressure like it in feeding the engine... so in theory it should be able to flow more. Injectors are ID 2000's but really i shouldnt be any higher then 60% duty (but hey i could be proved wrong) So 60% of 2000 is 1.2 x 6 = 7.2 litres a minute. Steve and I sorta had a play around with figures today. We came up with 518 RWKW. Obviously that is VERY rough but I think both of us are going to be touch and go with 2 pumps. Stupid E85 and its mega thirst!
  23. Hey guys. Steve (N1 GTR) and I were discussing this today while we were running the lines to my surge tank. I understand not many people will be able to answer this as it is a shitload of power but, does anyone know the limit of 2 X bosch 044's on E85? We are both running very similar setups.... although I am a 2.8 and Steve is a 3.0 litre. Same cams and turbo's. Steve is currently making 455 RWKW at 24 psi.... My car will be on the dyno tomorrow and Friday shoving 2 bar down its throat and hopefully making 500 rwkw +..... if the pumps can flow that much. Will be interestng either way.
  24. Well I aint pulling that plenum off for you to try. Rather put a fire out on my face with a fork! The cooler has made a decent difference. Definately not as lethargic as it was. We are starting at 8. So anytime after that. You remember the house? Went and got all the fittings and hoses tonight.... My arse got raped!
