Well the bloke who owned my car before me cracked the stock block between 3 and 4 (IIRC) after installing the Tomei stroker. Rebuilt with a GT block. Food for thought?
What size rim do you have? If you have the stock 32 GTR rim then Birdgestone adrenalines.
I put them on my car running 370 kw at the treads and in first gear in the wet they dont break traction. I thought my clutch was slipping!
for the gtr badge and the "skyline" on the boot (alot of crap gets caught in the corners) get a fine blade flat screwdriver, put a microfibre cloth over it and "lightly" dig it out. It wont hurt the paint. I have done it many times on my own GTR.
When getting tested for noise is it underload or just in neutral? The Kakimoto N1 "is fairly" quiet... until the gates open. Then its about 6 billion db!
Ahh sweet. Do you know where Yavuz set the cams to? (thats if you have adjustable cam gears)
Re the pipes. I went to Westside exhuast on Friday. They quoted me $600. Went for a drive to Hypertune today and they said "a couple hundred". However they are in the middle of moving so they said to come back in a few weeks and they will have a better look. Just off first impressions I dare say i will get hypertune to do it.
Steve. Did you ever get a unigroup tune before the 3 litre? we have *almost* the same setup apart from the the extra 260 cc. it would be interesting to see the results.
I never thought of Hypertune. I might go for a run on Friday morning and see what they can do.
As for power. I'd like to see a solid 400KW at the treads on pump... with E85 well god knows. Yavuz did say when I picked up my car "if you were to put this thing on E85 it would just thrive on it. Be a totally different car" I think that may have something to do with my "highish" compression ratio of 9.0:1.
Nah I havent yet. Gotta put this stupid cooler on. After being off the road for so long im enjoying driving it again. There is a little bit of mucking around with putting this kit on. I want to retain the Factory BOV setup so I have to get someone to mock up some alloy piping (re routed behind the rad). Then the decision to go E85 or not. ARGH!
Yes. Well. Mine has been in, out, balanced, back in and now coming back out to be thrown in the dumpster. Piece of rubbish. Waste of time, money, effort.
At the moment im running some 76 mm aftermarket job. When we go for that drive ill show this abortion to you! The end tanks look like they were made by some kid in play time!
Steve, what core exactly do you have? I bought the 105 mm duel entry to go on mine!
