  1. Check that thread mate. One bloke has replied with some interesting info.
  2. I might copy and paste your first post in the pommie forum man. Maybe one of the tuners have come across this issue. http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/118627-osg-5-sp...tml#post1117930 There it is.
  3. ^^ Mine deffo aint the tyres. Ive had two different sets on the car and exactly the same thing. Its not really speed related either. Mine happens under load in 3rd. I can replicate that speed in 2nd and 4th and it doesnt happen. It isnt the driveshaft either. It has only happened since the OS Gearset went in.
  4. I asked the Yavuz (unigroup) about it tonight when I dropped off my car. He said he has never heard of that problem... but will check it out. I know it doesnt help us at all but hey, he might know what it is. I dont like our chances though!
  5. ^^ Well I have the same 3rd gear vibration with both the stock shaft and and the carbon one. When i built my box i replaced all bearings with new NSK sealed units. Either way it will be interesting to see what comes out of you pulling yours apart. The bloke that built my box also used that yellow paint on the gears to make sure they were all meshing correctly... Everything seemed 100%.
  6. Mr. Keets and elrodeo666 did you buy the billet centre plate? If it makes any difference i have one in mine!
  7. Vibration after putting in the OSG 5 speed. I have that EXACT issue. ONLY in 3rd though. I have gotten rid of most of it by putting in rear sub frame locking collars. 90% dissapeared. How many kms have you put on it? Ive done 1200 and although its not getting any worse... it aint getting any better. I have rung up and spoken to quite a few people about this but they all say it isnt the gearbox! If you do manage to fix the issue please let me know what you did!
  8. Thought i'd report back again . Got the shaft in last night. I think being a one piece it must transmit more NHV through the driveline. Its not unbalanced as such (well there isnt any one speed where it shakes the car like it used to). Of the guys that have fitted their's, have you found the same thing? On a side note car gets tuned on tuesday. Woohoo!
  9. ^^ Last tune it was 1.65 bar at 4700 RPM. However, I will reply again on friday and its getting retuned. Alot of stuff has changed (catback, plenum, boost controller, better cat) so I have a feeling this will drop a few hundred RPM. The catback made a HUGE difference (kakimoto Full Mega N1) Its going as good as what it was before on 1.3 bar. Going up a hill in 2nd gear with 3 people in the car and jump on the loud pedal at 6500 RPM and it will break traction. Give me 5 days
  10. Are you on a stock stoke 26? If so i dont think RS's would be the right turbo for a street set up. Even myself on a high compression 2.8 litre im sometimes wishing for slightly smaller turbo's because im caught "off boost".... Gets retuned this week so see how much better it is. 2530's at the biggest on a stock motor IMO.
  11. Thats a pretty sexy cooler... What is it exactly?
  12. .8 ish bar is my understanding. Does it feel any quicker?
  13. What about the factory bleed screw? Seems to work for me.
  14. ^^ Well when i bought the system i was pretty worried about how loud it was going to be at idle and say sub 3500 RPM. Started the car and it just purs. Ive had a mate drive next to me and he said he can hardly hear anything. On boost it absolutely SCREAMS but without big revs adnd the gates not open its quiet as.
  15. Just went up to woolies and got myself a new cap. Go fountain Soy sauce
  16. Kakimoto Regu 06+R or the Full mega N1
  17. My understanding is that the NON V spec has a slightly stronger diff compared to the V spec. Everything else is the same.
  18. At the moment im running Tomei manifolds, HKS dumps, HKS front pipes 3.5 inch cat and a Kakimoto Full mega N1. Pretty damn quiet at the lights and driving.. NO drone what so ever. On boost... My god what a noise!!! I couldnt believe how much difference the cat back has made. I had some 3 inch "cut and shut" system on their before.... Just with the catback change i reckon its going better on 1.3 bar with timing pulled out of it then it was on 1.7 (2.8 stroker twin GT RS's). However it wont be cheap as previously said
  19. Right.... Wollies is gonna get hit up tomorrow monring . Soy sauce and fountain.... soy sauce and fountain!
  20. What did they charge you for them? haha
  21. Your not the only one!. I took mine off one day and forgot to put it on.... Now some kid is kicking it down the street!
  22. Any idea how much your balance will cost you Michael?
  23. Do it right. Buy 740 or 800 cc injectors and be done with it.
  24. Put it this way. Twin RS's at anything up to 2 bar on a 2.8 litre stroker and im fine (Fuel pressure gauge in cabin to confirm). Your turbo's are smaller so you will be sweet!
  25. I agree with the above. Just chuck a Nismo in there and forget about it!
