  1. Not sure what to make of the 9174. It might be a bit of a 2871 thing going on. Too much compressor, not enough turbine.
  2. http://www.speedhunters.com/2015/06/a-skyline-gt-r-tuning-revolution/ link to the the car above
  3. Pretty crazy 34 that. Exhaust straight out under the passenger door! It had a T51 on it before the 9180.
  4. The EFR's cost a little bit more. Everyone bangs on about "light weight billet compressors" in the front.... But what happens when you take out half the weight of the other side of the wheels (turbos have two sides, seems a lot forgot this with ERR MAA GAWD.. Shiney compressor). It can't be a bad thing, right? The people that have put on and running EFR's all say the same thing. Transient response is greatly improved, on much earlier. Transient reaponse isn't something that shows up on a dyno though. There is a particular S2000 at the shop that will be tuning my car. They were running a 6466 and now a 9180. Turn two at Eastern Creek they would have to use second gear with the 6466 but with the 9180 they now use third. The 6466 is, a smaller turbo but the 9180 is on earlier. Makes you wonder huh? There is a back to back I posted in the EFR thread between a 3582 vs 8374 on a larger BMW engine. GTX off EFR on. EFR made more midrange and the same top end. For the sake of a back to back, there will be one between a 6266 0.84 and a 8374 1.05 on a 3.2/Vcam. This will happen early next year. The tuner has said that he could go to a 9180 and not lose anything down low to the 6266, however low end grunt is the goal so a 8374 has been chosen.
  5. Considered an EFR 8374?
  6. I'm keeping the 3 inch silicone joiner there. I wasn't prepared to pull the plenum off to weld it. If it does come off or the engine comes out, I'll throw one on. The Nismo plenums are a little more tricky to do than the factory units.
  7. EFR - 1.05 divided GTX - 1.06 divided. everything else was the same, just turbo change apparently. No too sure on engine details. http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?2297331-CES-Motorsport-BW-8374-EFR-vs-GTX35R-Testing-and-GA-1-2-Mile-event link to the back to back.
  8. Brett nailed it. I just used 3 inch clamps. As close as you'll get.
  9. So why not just stay the factory setup? It works! Leave it alone!
  10. Replied. Off to NZ for a holiday for two weeks. If you want something, postage won't happen till the 28th of September.
  11. That's base boost pressure. You then use your boost controller to run more if needed.
  12. Make it 4 inch. Do it once!
  13. Not really surprised there though. Bigger engine making more grunt down low. How long till you put it on E85, Harris?
  14. Here is a BMW result. GTX 3582R vs 8374. Both are twin scroll, same manifold blah blah. Red = 8374 Blue = GTX 3582R
  15. I'm sure Paul Deimar did a back to back between 3rd and 4th with Twoogle and it made 2/5th of no difference.
  16. Are the gates plumbed in or VTA, Usmair?
  17. How do they drive? Which one "stands up" quicker?
  18. Nicks has the speed sensor installed but the road rage gauge was faulty. If it doesn't get fixed soon the speed sensor will go straight back to the ECU.
  19. It's like $200. Don't be a tight ass. Wire it back to the ECU. Better than blowing a turbo!
  20. Put one in and report back!
  21. Seen it. Half the reason why I made this.
  22. Scott hasn't mentioned any boxes. I'm 99% certain it's all going straight to the ECU. If I needed anything extra I would have gotten an invoice for it haha.
