  1. You just missed out on the free exhaust cam they threw in when you buy any v cam kit. Makes it even cheaper . Fuel economy? Pfft. Who cares lol.
  2. Matty, Your 272's would be 10.2 mm of lift so they would of had to relieve the head for the lobe to spin. As for the piston, im not 100% sure when that needs to be done. My last engne was running Tomei 270 @ 10.25 mm cams and the pistons were not relieved. Ask Chris (if he is doing the work) to pop a plug out and have a look. Step 1,2 and Pro. Step 1 moves 30 degrees and uses a 248 @ 8.6 mm cam. You can run that with stock pistons. Dan (Silver Nur) ran this kit on his engine. Step 2 moves 50 degrees and uses a 264 @ 8.7 mm cam. You need to have pistons relieved for this kit. Step 1 and 2 are the same price. Pro moves 50 degrees also and uses a 264 @ 10.0 mm cam. Like step 2 you need valve relieved pistons. This kit is expensive because it comes with an ECU which you pretty much chuck in the bin (You wouldnt use it). Unfortunately you can't buy the Pro kit without the ECU. Here is Dan's result using the Baby step one on his 2.6/2530 setup. Extra 50% torque (300 nm vs 450 nm) at 4000 RPM. What setup did you use on your Nur? I can't remember now. I chose step 2 because it was no more expensive than the step one but i'm going to try and use my current intake cam I have in the car at the moment. It cant be too hard, its just a bit of machining.
  3. FuelExhaust Intake mods Cams Head work It can be done, but the right parts need to be employed. List everything...
  4. Try get the tail out.. It's hard work! EFR 7670, E85.. You win! Keep the twist down through the low/middle range so the rods don't snap... Amazing car!
  5. It's a 9. Has MIVEC. f**k yes!
  6. I agree. V cam on the strip would make no difference whatsoever. Just want it driving again. ARGH! By all means Pete, once it's done, take it for a lap and see what you think. Be good to have some feedback too!
  7. Been through 6 in total. First failure was the primary pump got lazy. The secondary covered it when it come online. Picked it up by a fuel pressure gauge and AFR gauge. Replaced both... Second set, same thing. Third set, can't really remember... But enough to crack it and throw it all in the bin. 044's DO NOT last under E85 conditions. If you don't have gauges and running them, you're asking for trouble.
  8. Lol. Hasn't all happened in a week though. Owned the car 9 years this year. Better be worth it!!!
  9. One problem, the 044's don't last on E85.
  10. I'll stand there with a cattle prod "more playing". Haha
  11. As new second hand as its gonna get .
  12. Comparing the entry of the hypertune core to the Nismo. Hypertune - Nismo -
  13. Which part? The piping was quite reasonable. The v cam was $4,400 delivered and came with a free exhaust cam which I sold for $400. $4,000 for v cam which isn't much more than the otomoto VCT kit.
  14. Go one page back ya lamb rooting wog.
  15. Lol.It ain't getting done yet. Want a back to back between "GT series and single"... For science. Lol
  16. I realise that. But there was other aspects of it that were mad aswell. Step 2. But i want to try and make it work with my current cam, not the nugget 8.7 mm lift. At 3,200 RPM, Pete made an extra 260 nm between no v cam and v cam.
  17. After driving Pete's 3.2/ V-Cam... Came home and bought this.
  18. I didn't leave a message but yeah a couple times. Just to say hello.
