  1. -5's suck dick on a 2.6.
  2. Why reinvent the wheel? Put a Getrag in it or run an OS88. Job done. Next problem.
  3. Some rough calcs Area of a 3 inch is 28.2 in 2 Area of a 3.5 inch is 38.4 in 2 Area of a 4 inch is 50.2 in 2 From 3 to 3.5 is 36% larger.
  4. It's still not exactly a walk in the park with E85.
  5. Great news, Pete! Will they be doing the flex tune and winding it up to see what numbers this can punch out?
  6. Same springs and retainers as what's in mine. There shouldn't be an issue unless there was a mega mess up installing. Having said that, if it's coughing in neutral, it won't be springs as there is no boost.
  7. How many have you seen fail, Scott?
  8. Micko's old man just threw this pipe on his -9/stock engine GTR. From the seat of the pants it feels a little more linear. If you look at the pipe, the front turbo air is basically "merging" at a right angle to the incoming air from the rear huffer. I believe Sean Morris did a back to back years ago. He was claiming 8-10 hp increase from memory. Have a search online. You should be able to find it. I can't remember the turbo setup he tested it on though. Just do it, put it on and forget about it.
  9. It's a very lazy design from Nissan, regardless. It makes a huge difference. I have done a back to back test with Marko_R1's car. 3.0 and -10's. Without it, it chided like a steam train. With it, 90% of the shuffle went away. GT-RS's suck dick either way, but that is a first hand experience. There are NO downsides to doing this mod.
  10. http://www.skylife4ever.com/2011/01/modified-twin-turbo-pipe.html?m=1
  11. It may be tighter, but most jap pipes are peanut sizes. I don't think I've ever see a twin 3 inch into a single 4 inch off the shelf from ping pong land.If you want to talk about a 3 inch "tight" bend restricting the exhsust, have a good look at the 2 inch turbo inlet pipes that bolt to the comp housing. At the smallest point they're about 1.7 inches (It can be fixed by welding it up and grinding the inside out). What about the tight bend in the dump pipes? Bigger fish to fry than a huge set of front pipes.
  12. Realistically, how much is it going to hurt?
  13. Just turn the machines back on for good. Why they stopped making these is beyond me.
  14. Taken to PM. Save clogging up the thread with off topic dribble.
  15. On the dyno. It's the best video I have sorry Although it doesn't show the front pipes, i can assure you the rear pipe wraps around the front. EDIT: Video's on photobucket suck wang.
  16. My Racepace twin three inch with equal length front pipes sounds nothing like that. The only place it merges is at the rear diff to sneak past it. I have a few videos of it on the dyno. I'll post some up when I get home. Photo bucket is not playing this morning.
  17. I believe it was lengthening the runners for more midrange twist.... IIRC.
  18. About $1200. That was a few years ago. Give Chris a call.
  19. For the nismo whores. Sort the real issue out, don't band aid it.
