  1. Who is your tuner? Take it there and run it up!
  2. Might need a drop down menu for the 20 k gearbox you'll need to handle the twist of something like that...
  3. Of you find a good condition stock engine and then fit new bearings and rings, ain't you just rebuilding it? Where are you located?
  4. What I mean by building a 2.6 is a waste of time is this. If you need a new crank, rods and pistons plus paying someone to screw it together and allllll the costs (oil and water pumps, gaskets blah blah) what's the difference in cost of going a bigger bottom end? The bigger bottom end will be a little more exxy, sure. But the end result is so much better. (Some would argue it doesn't sound as good or whatever they dribble on about but that's another debate). Now, being low mounts (say 2530's or so) and say you cap power at 350 - 380 kw and not spin it to the moon (7000-7500 max rpm), why do you need to build it? The lasts two attempts have failed. You would have been better off whacking a stocker in it, getting it tuned and away you go. Odds are it would have lasted ALOT longer and driven exactly the same (save for compression differences which wont make a night and day difference anyway)
  5. You don't build a 2.6, it's a pointless exercise IMO. Put a stocker in it and run it. If you want more capacity and it's benefits then prepare for a very expensive exercise. Of you do decide to do a stroker, I'd be finding out the reason why the two engines before hand failed. That or give the assembly job to someone who knows what they're doing. It wouldn't happen for just no reason and you don't want it to happen to an expensive 2.8 rotating assembly. Get rid of those woeful turbos too.
  6. Oh oops. Carry on then.
  7. You do not need Tomei manifolds unless you enjoy ripping them off later on to use as a doorstop or a paperweight. I've done a back to back myself, they do not make ANY difference. Keep the stock BOV's. Keep the factory airbox
  8. Why don't you change rear housings? I'm sure somethring could be worked out. After being in a stock 2.6 with a 8374 1.05 AR rear, I'm not sure if the 0.92 is necessary. Definately not on a stroker IMO.
  9. Have you read any of the thread at all, mate? Haha!
  10. It's a single, not low mount twins. LolI'm sure a 3.5 or 4 inch will be more than enough.
  11. R34 brakes have a bigger bolts than the earlier models.
  12. Is that because what you've seen everyone else choosing the same or because it's in a catalogue?
  13. Stock cams and get them dialled in! Spend the money on a front diff.
  14. Modify the twin turbo pipe with the splitter and put the money elsewhere, like a front diff.
  15. Did you ring/email Jim to say that it still won't rev to 8000 RPM without it having a fit?
  16. Have seen a result. 530 wkw at 31 ish psi.
  17. ^^ so much this. That intake plenum is suck a prick of a thing. For the sale a few hundred bucks, OEM all the way!!
  18. When is it going on the dyno? Hates off to you'd mate, huge, huge effort!
