Sorry mine is a lowly gtst. Richard sorry mate haven't had a wheel alignment for a long time (so no paperwork), haven't driven it for years either. I will be taking it for one in the next few months though ( just put UAS front camber arms in), all the pieces are finally coming together. I can take pics in the next few days, I don't think there is that much difference in the camber from side to side though. Without having done a proper investigation and just speculating it looks as though what is sticking out on one side, might only be 10mm in my case but could be as much as 15mm, is missing (sitting in) from the other side. For the meantime I am just running 33 gtr wheels and they fit ok with I think 235 ( could be 245) re55s but it's sitting on the bigger set of wheels and it is definitely noticeable and annoying and something I would like to get to the bottom of at some point. My s15 on the other hand is perfect lol

Yeah unfortunately it's not something you really notice until you fit wheels that really fill out the guards. I should run a pics of string down the side of the front and rear wheels to see what that like in terms of alignment soon. I do wonder what it will align like I remember a guy doing an alignment in it like ten years ago saying something about it but he was a major wanker and I didn't think too much about it at the time because it had skinny wheels (18x7.5 +30) and the car drove straight/fine. It is annoying because I have 18x9 + 22 on it now and they fit one side but not the other and if I could balance if out somehow they might just fit

Parting Out R32 Gtst
Gts-t replied to toddys13's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Hey mate, Do you have the bolts that hold the front upper arms in the car? Thanks -
I don't think it's as simple as having been into a gutter. I've had my late 93 model since the end of 2000, and it was 100% stock when I got it . Exhaust, air filter, everything... So I think it's unlikely it went into a gutter before I got it and since I've had it , it hasn't been into any gutters. When I get around to measuring everything I doubt I'll find anything bent. If I had to say I'm guessing it comes down to the tolerances the chassis is manufactured to. With the difference being the location of the rear chassis rails the subframe bolts to.

Metric High Tensile Caliper Bolts
Gts-t replied to Gts-t's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Thanks gtsboy, I will try abs it's just up the road we do deal with them but it hadn't crossed my mind tbh. I may also try Coventry fasteners etc if I have no luck with abs. I hadn't done my research and it was a quick Friday arvo thing and the 8.8's were only about $4 lol so I grabbed them anyway. Was hoping to get the install finished tomrrow. Rears went on no problem. Also which Midas are u talking about not the shonky service centers? Should put ur name in ur info too. -
Really, the reviews have been pretty shithouse so far. I may end up getting it but I doubt it I gold wolfenstien instead. Will probably sell it on here cheap in a few weeks when I finish it if anyone is keen

I've put 33 brembos on my 32 gtst, the front bolts that come with the front brembos are too long and need a fairly big spacers (lots of washers etc) which I'm not keen on using. The nissan bolts have a 9 on the head which I believe is a JIS standard. Not sae and not metric. I went to the local bolt shop yesterday and got the right length metric high tensile bolt grade 8.8. It was the highest they had. From trawling the net for awhile I am thinking I really need at least a 10.9 or possibly a 12.9 grade instead. Anyone have any thoughts or experience with this? Thanks

Nico won because he started from pole. He started from pole because he fraudulently claimed pole on Saturday when the stewards should have sent him to the back of the grid. What is slightly bewildering is the fact that so many people think it might have been an accident. "But the stewards believed his side of the story?" is the cry from Rosberg's supporters (and Lewis's detractors). The race stewards saw nothing wrong in Nelson Piquet Junior's deliberate crash at the Singapore Grand Prix and we now know that was about as genuine as Flavio Briatore's love of motorsport. If the circumstances weren't suspicious enough already, if Nico's hands sawing at the wheel to create the situation weren't dodgy enough, why did he stick his car in reverse? You'd think if you genuinely messed up the Mirabeau corner you'd want to get out of everyone else's way, not rejoin the circuit when cars were coming though. It's not as though there was two minutes left on the clock and he could get another lap in, it was down to zero time. On Sunday I didn't realise that the forbidden engine mode that Lewis used in Spain had been used by Rosberg in Bahrain. Lewis apologised for Spain, Rosberg apologised in Monaco; for the qualifying mistake, but not the deceit.

It is I suck at it

Nice bay callan, love that manifold and turbo setup. Who made the manifold? U though about putting the washer bottle in front of the fuse box?

This was yesterday, metallic silver goes down first then the translucent candy apple over the top. Obviously it gets darker the more you apply it.

Heh yeah I read tango matt's whole build thread many years ago and re read it a few times. Plus the copy of hpi with his gtr in it is one of my favorites. Yeah those nismo engines do look great, I've got a ton of pictures of them with various different ways they finish the inlet plenum and covers. Some painted, some polished, some raw. To me they all look good, even yours in black I like although I would have left it cast or polished it to match your intake pipes better. I like the fact we all do things differently and have our own personal taste that's what makes us individuals after all. I have a second rb26 that I've prepped the covers and a mate has just done in candy apple red, after that I will probably end up getting another set of covers and doing in wrinkle red as well. I like to have options to mix and match depending on what mood I'm in lol. If and when I have the dough I'd like to get the nismo inlet plenum and turbo outlet pipes too.
-
Just enough to get the gold atm. I will have a better go on the weekend too. The top dude is running about 5 seconds quicker, I need to master the brakes a bit better and run a better line around the whole course lol

So sexual and neat

Actually found one, I think piggaz might have a similar setup along with a few others
-
I can't find a picture right now but I like the way racepace run the breathers with their catch can setups. Like in tangomatts engine bay, I forget who owns it now. Such a shame the pictures are all gone from that build thread of his.
-
Thanks ant, the plenum is wrinkle red and the turbo inlet/outlet pipes are wrinkle black. It's going into my engine bay which is bayside blue so it should give a nice contrast. I always liked the way Subaru did it on the old sti's and the way Ferrari does it on a lot of their engines. On top of that I have 3 stock plenums, so one is wrinkle red, one polished and one I paint stripped to the raw cast finish. So I can play mix and match if needs be.
