  1. Glove box on hold too? If not how much extra is shipping to WA 6060? Thanks.
  2. Your right! Everything my around my computer is black! Except for a generic keyboard which is beige, & that's because I haven't upgraded the thing in 6 years...
  3. Hey are you willing to sell the glove box? Price & postage to WA 6060? Thanks
  4. Don't feel too bad, my mum used to drive with the handbrake on all the time...
  5. When are they going to implement those speed cameras that detects when a road snail is hogging the right lane on the freeway while driving 20 under the limit?
  6. Just from the various sources I read they all tend to suggest the Ford's ZF is a smoother auto box & is slightly more responsive in semi-auto mode compared to Holden's one. No personal experience since I've never driven neither car... only Holden I had was my mum's old VN with the tractor 4 speed auto box, where every gear change is a huge "thump"
  7. On our way back from Kalgoorlie my dad got flashed (for going 104km/h in a 90km/h zone) when he was almost done overtaking a truck & still received the fine about a month later (was during double dermerit points time too)... He paid it & told me to keep my mouth shut in front of my cheapskate Aisan mother
  8. +1 With my dad's Corolla 10% throttle is like 50% throttle, so it gives you this false "illusion" that the car has some grunt... mash the paddle all the way to floor & sh*t all happens... like the time I was on my way to kalgoorlie & was overtaking some 3 trailer semis going about 90km/h, change lanes, floor it 100%, car downshifts to 2nd, eng rev jumps to 5500rpm & makes a horrible buzzing sound, look at my speedo I haven't even gone over 100km/h yet...
  9. My dad's Corolla (06 model) at low throttle (say 15%) feels a lot faster and more responsive compared to my R33 which feels like a beached whale, that is struggling to move...
  10. I would get something like this: Quoted from the uploader: Only thing I like to add would be some kind of RWD or AWD conversion (400kw+ on FWD?! ) and I would change that crappy looking front bar & put the stock one back on. Also the car is automatic so you can use it for all your daily traffic jam routines fairly easily
  11. I'm in if you are making another group buy, I thinking of doing this while getting my brake rotors replaced. Car is a R33 GTS-T series 1
  12. That explains everything... Every 2nd 4x4 (usually some soccer mum) I came across on the road the driver is completely unaware of their surroundings and is living in their own isolated world within their 2 ton tanks... All the best in getting your car fixed & on the bright side at least you had full comp insurance, if you only had 3rd party then it is going to be even more of a pain in the ass to get it sorted seeing how dodgy the douche bag in the 4x4 is...
  13. Really comes down to whether you want a V8 or Turbo 6... and whether you want a brand new car vs 2nd hand. Only thing I can think off is that if you are going to get one with auto transmission then the Ford's ZF 6 speed auto box has the advantage over the Holden's 6 speed auto box, from what I have read at least...
  14. Thats the advanced Chinese pirated GT-R (GT-R red flag edition spec C model) we get in Communist China with the RB62TT engine!
  15. Most of the movies & animes I download (in 720p) are around this size or larger. The last anime movie I downloaded (Fate Stay Night unlimited blade works) in 1080p was over 10gigs in size...
  16. Where did you buy your turbotech from?
  17. Someone from uni bought a cheap 300zx for $3.5k, had electrical wiring issue, was fixed & it ran fine after that. & no engine out was required, everything else out instead...
  18. I'll take one as well thanks.
  19. 20 & over only looks good in the original Hummer.
  20. LOL wut? So they want you to reverse park everywhere you go... As for the poll, I've being using only Caltex 98 for the past year or so as it is the cheapest one around my area (~$1.25 with fuel card). & we don't have that shell V-power thing in WA (Shell only have up to RON 95 here).
  21. +1 This is the only reason I have full comp insurance, because I'm lazy & cbf to do all the chasing myself if I get hit by some douche who doesn't have insurance at all (& I know plenty of people like that)... I like to pay for the convenience of having the insurance company chasing them up instead & for me this was worth it.
  22. Not a N/A but here goes anyway... I'm now off my Ps but I did buy the car 1 week after I got my Ps. Initial purchase was a shared payment... (ok so I only chipped in like ~$2k while my parents paid the other $8k)... I pay for all the other stuff like insurance, fuel, maintenance, mods... etc etc I only got basic 3rd party (~$300) for the 1st year then went to full comp after that (~$2000), currently my insurance cost is ~$1100 (with adjustment to excess). Also I know a bunch of people whos parent's refused to let them buy a turbo car while they are on their Ps but mine couldn't really care less, my mum have no idea what a turbo is & my dad for a period of time thought the turbo was there primarily as a fuel efficiency tool... also they are a strong believer of "it doesn't matter what car you drive, a stupid moron will crash regardless whether they are driving a super car or a Hyundai Excel"
  23. Some time earlier this year... One of the rubber hoses from the fuel pump cracked while I was at Uni & the car pissed petrol all over the place, was raining as well...
  24. Source Revenues from Speed cameras must be low this year? EDIT: & here I was saving $$$ to buy one... oh well the money saved could go towrads other stuff instead.
  25. Car ECUs belongs to embedded computer system while the CPU in your desktop falls under platform system, one of the main considerations when designing an embedded system is the heat output & power consumption as most embedded systems are designed to work in restricted areas (with little air flow) & sometimes on battery power. Hence most embedded processor have very low clock frequency (most are under 500Mhz compared to your Gigahertz+ desktop CPUs) & therefore would not get very hot during normal operating conditions since the heat generated is directly related to the operating frequency.
