^ TPG's tech support aren't great neither, but thank fully I can fix most of the common problems. Otherwise its their sever maintance that fixes itself up after a couple of hours. -
So you connection is telephone line->modem->router->laptop? 1st make sure that the connections are correct then set your modem to bridge mode 1st then do the set up on router (the wizard setup where you enter the user name & password for your ISP).

Your First Car - Turbo Or N/a
Mayuri Krab replied to adznight's topic in General Automotive Discussion
My 1st car is my current car. Slug box R33, bought it 2 weeks after I got my Ps. B4 that, the 1st car I have driven was my mum's old 91 VN commodore then a 02 Camry, that I used for my hours on Phase 2 L. -

Yet Another Dyno Sheet Thread!
Mayuri Krab replied to nicr4wks's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
+1 From all what I have read, 200rwkw is about the max you can make with just 'basic mods' for the RB25DET. Moving beyond 200rwkw most likely need a aftermarket turbo or high flowed stock one & run more boost & also require the supporting mods. For reference, my auto 33 made ~180rwkw with basic mods (3" turbo back exhuast, R34GTT SMIC, bleed valve +10psi setting & SAFC II) -

How Heavy Is A Liter Of Engine Oil?
Mayuri Krab replied to Tomei_Powered's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Also isn't Mercury (Hg) the only metal who is in liquid form at room temperature? (I think I remembered something ) -
Don't really like it but doesn't really bother me. Since I don't drink at all.

How Heavy Is A Liter Of Engine Oil?

Looks like someone has being paying attention in Chem class H2O is about all I can remember -
My understanding was the opposite, from what I have heard/read, you are more likely to get pulled over in the Eastern States due to the P-plate restrictions. I got pull over 3 times 3 days in a row during the Easter Break, otherwise haven't got pulled over any other time. But then again I mainly just travel in traffic peak times where there's no cop presence at all.

Car: 1993 R33 GTS-T Series 1 (auto) Petrol: Caltex RON 98 (most of the time) or BP Ultimate $ per tank: ~$70 to $80 (estimated) Kilometers Per Tank (Based On Driving Area & Driving Style): Consistently get ~13L/100km which gives ~500km range (taking fuel tank as 65L according to Nissan), more realistic would be ~450km per tank I reckon. Other Comments: Car is serviced every ~5000 km, used as a daily car mainly for shopping & going to/from uni. Granny driving most of the time (doesn't hit boost often or for long), revs <4500rpm & max throttle I have given is only ~50% (according to SAFC 2). Has the basic mods done: -POD -3" turbo back exhuast -Bleed valve, upped boost to 10psi -SMIC from R34 GTT -SAFC II

Basically it goes something like this: Movie/Music industry (in US) found your IP sharing their movie/music on torrent, They trace back the IP to the appropriate ISP & sent a email of infringement on copyright bla bla bla... ISP (TPG in this case) forward the email to you & pretty much just goes "we've done our job." & won't take any further actions. Some ISP's take this very seriously & will terminate your account if you accumulate a certain # of these notices in a given time period. TPG isn't one of them (from my experience anyway ) But honestly, most ISP's with massive download quotas usually turn a blind eye to these kind of things unless if pressured by the copyright holder. Deep down they all know what these quotas are gonna be used as, unless you love to download all the different open-source Linux ISOs over & over again. -
A friend at uni have one of those type of cars, he bought it for $6k. It has a 4 door Proton sedan shell, but underneath all the performance bits & pieces are EVO things (engine, transmission, brakes, suspension etc etc). That thing is a nice little sleeper, it can easily out-run my slug box R33 & gets no cop attention at all. Makes me what to do a project Camry with Supra performance parts if I had the cash. I would have thought the original excel's engine would probably go boom! What engine do they even have? 1.6?

P2P shaping is a FACT. They were planning to ban P2P during peak time, but I'm not sure whether they have implemented it or not.(LINK 3 strike rule is similar to Optus' one. Its under its fair use policy somewhere. Hope this helps. EDIT: IMO if you are a heavy p2p user, better of to change to one of the isp's that don't take the infringement notices too seriously, (like TPG) I usually get like 1 notice every 1 or 2 month & TPG doesn't seem to do much other than forward the notice to you. -
That's the way to look at it. Be happy with what you got. I'm very happy with my auto slug-box 33, especially after driving the corolla. EDIT: Sorry but that is just not true...

The problem with Extel is that they are very p2p unfriendly, they will shape p2p traffic & I think they are also considering banning p2p traffic during peak time (read something about it on the Whirlpool news section a while back, not sure if its implemented though). Also they have the 3 strike rule, in that if you get sent 3 letters for copyright infringement in a certain period of time, then they will ban your account. I'm currently with TPG, & they don't seem to care about infringement notices, they will forward the notice to you & give you a standard warning email but other than that, nothing. I must have gotten >10 notices already... -
Windows 7 - What Do You Guys Think Of It?
Mayuri Krab replied to KR4-GTR's topic in PC & Games Discussion
But how does it do that though? My understanding of the 4gig cap was that it was a physical memory address limitation of 32bit OS... Does 7 uses some kind of fancy coding tricks to get around this memory address limitation? On topic: Had 7 RC installed for a couple of month now, no problems with it. I was surprised that It managed to find all of the drivers for my ASUS laptop (minus the TV tuner & in modem drivers) using its auto update feature, so I didn't have to go search on the net myself for them. Also just got Windows 7-tan Nanami Madobe theme installed from the Japanese win 7. I'm complete sold now. -
XR5 turbo? Those have lots of torque, or so I have being told.

Wtb: Stock Or Cheap Wheels
Mayuri Krab replied to briggsey's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
What sizes are you after? I have 3 pairs of wheels + tires setting in the garage. 4 tires are 235/40/17 & 2 are 215 something. 3 wheels are worn condition (tires are still good) & the other 3 wheels are in okish-good condition (slight gutter rash here & there). Tires are still in good condition. I will sell any of the pairs for $150 (each pair). -

I noticed that Car has one of those adjustable flap valve things on the exhaust to control the exhuast noise, isn't that a instant defect sticker if a cop pulls you over?
