  1. & I rather buy another OEM cat than use theirs. Also does anyone know of any modded imports passing the test there 1st time? All I have heard was some modded commodores passing & considering they are a commodore work shop I wouldn't be surprised. I remain pessimistic on the chances of a import passing (unless its 100% stock), until I see some examples of modded imports passing, not some modded commodore.
  2. What he said, + can you pm me the workshop name, I'm definitely not going there...
  3. Sign me up for the class too, I actually don't know how to do a burnout, do you drive with the hand brake on or...??? Actually scrape that driving with the hand brake on idea, my mum once drove with the hand brake on for 30minutes on the free way & all it did was wreck the handbrake but I'm pretty sure I didn't see any burn outs along the way...
  4. I reversed into my own letter box on my own drive way... Major fail
  5. This is the reason I slow down to granny pace before turning any kind of corner...
  6. Got SAFC 2 (thank you mike ) Anybody got a non-airbag S1 steer wheel laying around?
  7. The basic rule of thumb is any RON 95 for N/A & any RON 98 for Turbo. I use Vortex 98 on my car.
  8. +1 Any software can be had for free, even stuff like the >$5k auto CAD. You just need to know how & where to get it *cough* torrent *cough*
  9. +1, got mine installed couple of month back, car seemed to pull a bit harder & boost seem to come on faster & its a lot quieter than my old exhaust (stock pipes with a cannon wielded on), no longer have the annoy drone at idle & doesn't sound like a lawn mower when I'm just driving alone at 60km/h at 2krpm. Didn't knew that they weren't EPA approved though... good thing I still have my old exhaust somewhere...
  10. Is that steering wheel the non-air bag version?
  11. Do you know why its bad for aftermarket pumps? I was told the samething by the mechnical who installed the aftermarket pump (BOSCH intank) when my old stock one died, but he didn't explain the reason. This happened to me the last time I filled up, was too busy with all of the Uni sh*t going on & I forgot to fill up & was driving around with the needle on E & the fuel light on, I noticed while driving around slowly at the car park the fuel pump was making some loud whinning noises from time to time, scared the crap outta me & I pulled into the closest BP I could find & just filled $10 worth of RON 98. The fuel needle went ontop of E & the pump stopped making that whinning noise. Later that day, went to my usual Caltex & filled up to full using my parent's shopping discount card
  12. Got a boost controller on its way. Will consider SAFC, SAFC 2 or the neo depending on price...
  13. ^ The only solution I can see is to join the police force & apply for a job at your local police station (or the station where you will be doing most of the driving), so the next time cops pull you over they will be "Excuse me sir, we believe you have illegal mod on your..." <sees you> "Oh, hey mate, don't worry about it, drive alone now. See you at work tomorrow." Actually I might do that... seeing I can't seem to find a job with my uni degree...
  14. Man I have the exact same idea! I'm considering getting myself a Ford F250/350 truck & take it to 4x4 soccer mum inhabited areas. & I'll come with the berserk fury armed with its 3 charged particle cannons
  15. First one is easily done, 2nd one is easier said than done, unless you got a 100% stock car, otherwise a cop can always sticker you if he/she wanted. Having a fairly stock car works most of the time, ie I went past 2 cop cars on Saturday night at around midnight after work & none of them bother to speed up or do a 360 to pull me over, but I'm just considering myself lucky... no idea how long my luck will hold though...
  16. Agreed The more reason for me to take the Camry out if I need to drive anywhere after dark on a weekend. & to the OP good luck with getting your sticker removed.
  17. This one sounds kinda stupid, considering how stock R33s came like that... Btw, best of luck with your IM240 test...
  18. How 'stock' are we talking about though?
  19. Can you post/pm me a picture of the series 1 steering wheel? Is it the non-airbag one? Also do you have the stock Boss kit thing? Thanks.
  20. Cops dare not anger the 4x4 soccer mums, everyone knows they shouldn't mess with a mob of angry house wives. To the OP, did they yellow you for anything else other than the CF?
  21. Tried drilling a couple of small holes on the bottom of the tail lights? I had a similar problem where even pulling the light out & resealing it would still result in water getting flooded into the boot due to it being collected inside the light (blinker & reverse ones), drilling the holes fixed up my problem. The only female my car ever attracted was a Cop & I wasn't even the one driving at that time! (Dad was driving) Other sh*t I discovered: -The brake pads are eating away the rotors -head lights are piss weak -Automatic -More importantly I don't have a manual license!
  22. I have the right engine giggidy giggidy, Oh right!
  23. R34 GTT SMIC is good for up to about 200kw atw, at that stage you will be at the stock turbo's limit... Tunning the PFC might give u some extra kw but not much. Basically theres nothing wrong using PFC with your current setup, its just that if you are not planning on modding it further (bigger turbo, injectors etc etc, also you need a proper FMIC at that stage), then the PFC is kinda not needed & a piggy back would do & save u some $$$. EDIT for the boost on stock turbo, most people say the limit should be 12psi. But I will just stick with 10, don't want it to go BANG!
  24. I got my R33 turbo (no Power restrictions in WA ftw ) 2 weeks after getting my Ps & I'll be off my Ps by November. Got pulled over 3 times in total, never got defected nor fined once. From my experience, to avoid getting defected: 1) Don't drink like a douche, blend in with all the surrounding Camrys & falcodores. 2) Leave the car looking as stock as possible 3) Don't put any mods that screams 'defect me!' (atmo BOV, neons for example) To avoid getting pulled over (again from my experience); 1) Don't drive around at mid night & avoid driving around much during public holidays (I'm serious! the 3 times I got pulled over were all during this year's Easter public holiday, the last time I got pulled over I just left the house & was like 500m from it) I currently only use my Skyline as a A to B Corolla & only travel during normal hours & usually theres not a Cop car in sight most of the time... minus the cop with speed gun.
  25. ? Watch the last 3 seconds...& also 1.21 jiga watts is piss weak by today's standards. You gonna get out run by every man & his dog who owns a bog standard thirst - 8. What you need is the turbo.
