1993 R33 GTS-T auto (so RB25DET S1) With ~165,000km on odo (although most likely wound back at some stage) Basic bolt ons (TBE, POD, Boost Tee & SAFC 2) Last time on dyno (about 2-3 years ago) made ~180rwkw Used to mainly use Caltex 98, now I mainly use Shell 98 (V-power) Uses no noticable oil according to dipstick (last time I changed oil about 4.8L came out), oil gets changed every ~5000km with GW Synx-3000 (10w40), before that I had the car serviced regularly at the shop but I have no idea what brand of oil they put in. Only thing I noticed is that my oil goes dark really fast, (within 500km of driving or so).

Not a chance. Plus if your car is still on stock boost, even a N/A FG XR6 will almost keep up from on traffic light GP. Straight line acceleration wise, stock R33 is no longer fast versus many of the large family sedans we have on the market.

I hope iinet will roll their NBN network into my area, although I'm not putting high hopes on that... (their ADSL 2+ network isn't even in my area yet). So in the mean time I'm stuck with their offnet plan & aftering paying $10 extra a month for "turbo plan" to unlock that stupid Telstra 1.5mbps cap, I think Telstra have put me on one of their ADSL 1 ports, since my modem can only sync at ~8mbps even though I'm supposed to be <1km within the exchange. f**king gay

Found a nearby Repco that sells GW Syn-x 3000 for $22 (cheaper than the Shell 10w40) so I might go & get that instead.

Anyone used those Shell branded oils? Seems like the only thing I can find that is 10w40 from the local shops (the most recommanded spec from what I have seen) without paying $50+ onwards. Car is just auto daily driver with basic bolt ons.

Its true, I've being saving up for a while now for my next car & initially the list was pretty big with a big variety but now I pretty much just nailed it down to: FG XR6T HSV clubsport (last gen) BF F6 Pretty much just wanted a powerful car with decent acceleration but also more partical compared to my R33 (interior fancy-ness or fuel usage was not a care factor).

I played through it, not really a game (more like a interactive movie) but never the less it gets a decent from me, it has being a while since I have seen a 'game' with a decent storyline.

I read/heard Aliens CM is a major disapointment so I'll probably just torrent it, in the meantime I loaded up MAME again to play some old 90s arcade games to relieve the memories I never had since my grandparents won't let me have any money.

My HICAS light goes on seeming randomly, sometimes I can drive for ~440km (Perth to Albany) without it coming on the other times it will come on after about 20 minutes on the freeway... in anycase nothing else seem to happen when it does come on. Eitherway I suspect mine was due to the sensor on the steering wheel not working since it has an aftermarket steering wheel.

Do you have aftermarket steering wheel?

I hate x3/x5 events as all I get is just 5-10 losses in a row... Which in turn just makes me suicide my KV-5 everywhere.

What ever you get, just make sure it can fit the standard fan shroud fine. I had my plastic stock one repaired (replaced top plastic tank) when it broke instead of getting a new one, but that was only bcause my car is auto & it had connecters for connecting to the auto box, which most aftermarket ones don't have & I didn't want to get another seperate cooler for the slush box.

Power/performance for your dollar. Even without the expensive markup I can't see any bottom/mid range euro (like BMW 320, 323, 325 or Merc C200, C250) matching a SS or XR6T for it. need something like a BMW 335i which I think will be more expensive even without our marked up prices.

Finally I get to drive the tanks endorsed by Chairman Mao... Does anyone on SEA had a ping increase lately? used to be 70-80ms, then went to 400+ms & finally have settled down to ~230-270ms these following days. I want my old pings back!

Why not get the FPV GT-P (SC V8) instead?

My next car will be a either a FG XR6T, or BF FPV F6 or E series HSV (last gen)... Wanted a 2nd car that has both power & space for a limited budget & none of the Jap offering fits. Personal perference, but I prefer the HSV/FPV look over the 300C (old one looks too "boxy", while the new one looks too bland IMO). & I never really care about electronic gadgets, the less the better IMO, besides power windows & A/C...

I will miss them as a cheap high performance sedan (xr6t mainly) Will probably buy a HSV or FPV before they die out. Non of the current sedans from the main Jap makers interest me in the slightest besides some super expensive ones like Lexus LSF
