  1. Thats no longer enough, 1.21GW is no longer enough for todays power requirements, strap some extra flux capacitors & inductors & generators & aim for the 1 TW range. On a serious note, do a search on the topic.
  2. 6 ISPs has being chosen to participate in the up coming live filter trials (link) "THE federal Government's controversial live ISP filtering trial will finally kick-off with six internet service providers chosen to participate. Primus Telecommunications, Tech 2U, Webshield, OMNIconnect, Netforce and Highway 1 have been selected. The live tests will last for a minimum of six weeks and the ISPs' customers have the option of taking part in the trial. " While Optus & iinet who has also shown interest in taking part in the trials have being given the kick... Don't know about you guys, but besides Primus, I haven't even heard of the others... which is good I guess, means not many main stream people on the mainstream ISPs will be affected by this filter crap. There was also no mention of p2p anymore in the article, just the URL list of 1300 to 10,000 sites to be blocked.
  3. Black definitely looks better.
  4. Some new photos I took just today, the camera's flash is really weak...
  5. My biggest loser award goes to all those family friends I have who buys BMW 318s & tries to show them off as being a rich man's car... DUDES, those are like the bottom of the BMW 3's range, come back & show off when you can afford a M3 or at least a 335! Just had a conversation with a family friend, she saw a typical 318 & said that she likes that car coz when you drive one it shows to everyone around you that you are in the rich class, my reply was: "no ones thinks you are rich for driving a 318, just makes you into the 'wannabe' rich group". That shut her up good.
  6. My daily Uni traveling car *Updated photos*.
  7. Its a switch for the onboard computer that drives the car for you, that truckers have from the Simpsons. & if you put it in a really bad situation it would say "I'm sorry Mr <insert name here>, the situation is impossible" then it parachutes itself outside the car. That or its the SSJ power switch, gives you engine an anime style power up, making its power level over 9000!!! ...also exploding all your drive shafts & gear boxes in the process of powering up, which is why the disabled the thing...
  8. Nice one , also tell him to keep an eye out for soccer mums who cuts everyone off in their oversized 4WDs.
  9. Currently have a cheapo 1hp Chinese branded split type A/C (branded "Chillair") in my room, that my parents bought in some Chinese A/C shop. Unit is just over $300 (MUCH cheaper than any other 1hp models that we saw in the main stream shops) & I forgot how much the install was; my parents called up tons of places & found a Vintam guy to install it for the cheapest price. The A/C is about as generic as you can get, standard compressor, not a inverter model & pretty much just set the temp buttons & on/off switch. No other features, but it works wonders. can cool my room to under 18C when its about >40C outside. Also the main living room is fitted with a massive old box type National branded A/C, it may be old & may make a sh*t load of noise when on, but it totally kicks the crap out of all the evap units family friends have in the cooling department.
  10. + 1 to what omega36 said. Pretty sure most (if not all, one of the reasons where iinet was sued by the AFACT was that they didn't forward these emails to their clients & hence they are "supporting" pirating bla bla bla) ISPs will forward the infringement email to you (seems to me that its ALWAYS send from the lobby groups from somewhere in Uncle Sam), but what they do afterwards depends on the ISP themselves. For example, I've being with TPG since the days of my 1st "broad band" plan of 256kpbs & so far I have received 2 complain letters from lobby groups in US (one from MPAA the other from BSA), TPG forward the email & mentioned that continuous use of TPG net in this manner "may" result in suspension or termination of service. But by the time I had noticed that I got a email in my mail box, my download was long finished & I had stopped it anyway. & so far TPG hasn't really done anything else other than just forwarding the complain letter. Some other ISPs however are more tough on the whole issue, the 2 that comes to mind are Optus & Extel, they both have a 3 strike policy (reminds me of the 3 strike rule for hoon laws... ) where according to their terms & conditions if you get too many complain letters (3 of them in a certain peroid of time) you WILL get terminated. Out of those 2, extel also shapes p2p traffic, & hence pretty much making their massive download quota next to useless.
  11. Go to whirlpool internet forums, theres usually a new story on the topic almost every week. The last one I checked out was this: Link "The next few days will see the Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy sign agreements with some of the internet service providers (ISP) who submitted applications to be a part of the ISP-level objectionable content filtering trial." "Other ISPs who put in expressions of interest for the filter included Optus, Exetel, iPrimus and Unwired." So far no big loss for me, as all those ISPs mentioned are all pretty p2p unfriendly to begin with... Also there is a long thread on the topic of filtering of p2p on the whirlpool forums Link
  12. I hope the XR6T wins considering its a MUCH newer car. I'll be worried if it lost to a 15year old car... R33 vs XR6T = fat boat vs massive tanker , somehow I still like to see my fat boat win
  13. I'm guessing that your after market BOSS kit isn't HICAS compatible & causing the steering wheel sensor problems. My car (also a 1993 model) does something similar & I have a cheapo steering wheel with some china rip-off boss kit (HKB? anyone?) & my HICAS light goes on when I drive @ 100km/h for about 5 or so minutes. Although my steering wheel doesn't go stiff when my HICAS light is on...
  14. Tell that to all the soccer mums with their over sized 4WDs
  15. Hardly saw any cops at all, being through 1 booze bus, but didn't get pulled over to be breath tested. In fact I think the cops around my area are slacking off, coz as I went through the booze bus, the cops were only breath testing 1 car (a Civic sedan), I thought they are suppose to like queue 3 or 4 cars there? But the queue was empty...
  16. My car is doing fine in this heat, although I'm not coping too well with getting baked due to my broken A/C...
  17. On a side note, what are those rims called?
  18. I get that shock alot & now I like it, gives me that morning wake up call, otherwise I'll still be 1/2 a sleep.
  19. Think you are right, the front rotors probably are wrapped & needs to be machined, my R33 does that as well & when I send the car for a minor service the mechanic guy mentioned that problem. EDIT, you from WA right? Think its the only state left where a P plater can drive a turbo car.
  20. Besides the few scratches, that pole took like no damage looking from the pics... EDIT: Can't say the same thing about the car though...
  21. I would like more info on that as well, I was working at Dogswamp KFC while the cruise was going on, I did saw 2 ambulance on Wanneroo road heading that direction was that for him?
  22. ooookkkk.............
  23. Agree with you there, I don't see any point in burn outs either. Waste of tires = waste of $. Also you must be on drugs if you like the smell of burnt rubber... I probably have better fun just flushing $ down the toilet.
