1. Has anyone tried the online mode, It lags pretty badly for me
2. Better go & ask George W Bush & see if he will stop attacking Iraq & Iran... I still remeber when I 1st came to AU & the cheapest fuel I saw once was something like 50c/L with my dad filling up his old Subaru 1800 wagon with leaded fuel which was about 10c more... good times. good times...

3. I wonder what the % would be like for a camry? 1x10^(-499)%?
4. Doesn't really affect me much, b4 a full tank cost ~$90, after this will be $100+, $20 increase is nothi... sorry I can't finish typing this holding a straight face... Yes the price increase sucks, but what can you do? Nothing, but to live with it, like pretty much everything else in life. As with the technicians thing, I'll still be using my local mech guy to do the servicing, since I'm one of the few people who prefers to keep a stock line (the stock line's performance is already plenty for me; contrasted with all my previous driven cars; crap o VN & stock Camry) , for basic servicing he gets the job done. & should leave me with some $ to do minor mods from time to time.
5. Looking forward to this, mininova time Hopefully my G92 8800GTS should be able to handle this on max detail without much trouble, otherwise I'm getting a new card (probably a 4870 or 4870x2 if i have $ to blow)
6. +1,000,000 <Its over 9,000! >
7. I passed my driving test in a Getz (driving instructor's car, since my old VN probably won't pass the safety check.) As a car to get from point A to B & back to A, it does the job, anything else... don't expect much. & being a hatch & small its easy to park, about the only things I can think off.
8. +1 Can't let that 1/2 hr of life go to waste...
9. When? I watched TT on monday, but there was nothing on about P Plate laws, just the usual rubbish...
10. Not mine, I have a much higher chance of getting into a accident (well I already did, even though its the other guy's fault, it still count as a accident ), compared to her. Since 1st getting her licence transfered from Chinese to AU (when it was still allowed), she never had a single 1/2 major accident (although she did have a bunch of break downs due to the sh*t VN that never got serviced & got towed back by RAC ALOT). She did have a bunch of minor ones like scrapping the wheel onto the kerb when parking etc... She only drove my car a couple of times & she hated it, mainly due to the loud exhaust sound (the current camry she drives in comparision is pretty close to silent) & she says the driver area is too crammed compared to her old cars (the VN & Camry). She didn't however say anything about the power difference, probably mainly due to her granny driving style & taking ages to even get to 40km/h from the lights. She probably still take ages to get to 40 even if I let her drive a Bugatti Veyron or SSC Aero.
11. They really should provide suction cups with the plates... the suction cups I used with my old plates don't fit these new ones, & I've been using blue tack to keep them in place.
12. Mainly my random anime mp3s. My mum listens to AM when shes driving my car.
13. = in summary; the usual useless sh*t they bring up over & over again. I want that 1/2 hr of my life back!
14. Am I the only one here who doesn't have a gf at all? I don't mind (mostly) my mum driving my car if that means anything...
15. Well I just wasted 1/2 hr of my life watching junk.
16. Something interesting came up today, About a week ago, the insurance called in the morning saying that the repair shop encountered a minor problem; that since one of my rims was damaged in the crash (didn't looked damaged to me, but oh well they are paying...), they are thinking of replacing that rim, but they can't find that particular kind of rim & is asking me wether I know where to get one (which I don't ). Today I went to the repair shop, & I asked about the current situation & the guy there said that they are trying to see if they can sent the rim off for repairs, & when I mentioned about if they can't repair it, I'll just buy a rim that looks similar & get them to put it on. Then he said that coz its a jap import & the rims are jap imported, all the rims you buy from normal shops here won't fit & you'll need to import one from JP otherwise if I get a rim from a normal shop they will have to get a new wheel & change the entire wheel. Is this true? or is he talking bs? I'm a car noob, but this sounds pretty fishy to me. So if what he said is true, that means If I go to my local rim shop, then according to him all of the rims there won't fit my car? I didn't know there was a different rim standard between JP import & the cars here... Thoughts people? Thanks.
17. 1st "proper" car is the current R33. B4 that, I used to drive my mum's old 91 VN with a leaking exhaust pipe & you get drugged by the smell just driving it (probably killed a bunch of my brain cells in the time I owned it eehhh... whats 1+1?) , when my parents bought the Camry.
18. Yeah 4gig of ram for vista is a must for gaming & mulitmedia while 2gig is like the good old barebone. Vista uses a new feature called superfetch (or called something similar, i forgot ), what it does is basically it loads all your most commonly used stuff & programs onto the ram (if there is enough ram avilable) everytime you boot up, so those most commonly used stuff will load faster when you use thme, but is also the main reason why vista "chews" alot of ram compared to XP. I believe the aero interface also chews its share of ram. Which is a trend with windows; the new windows pretty much always eats more ram than the pervious windows (think win XP vs win 2k).
19. This coming monday? Might go & check it out, haven't touched a AU channel for ages...
20. Or a computer + net connection = all your games could be free... This comb is severing me well atm XD Just for the records, out of all the PC games I've bought (only ~ 5) I regret buying 4... The other reason why PS3 is hard to mod is purely due to the # of copy protections put into the Blue Ray format, if I remeber correctly theres atleast 4 main types of protections in BR (as oppsed to the now deceased HD DVD format which only had 1).
21. You can check the latest progress of mod chips from http://www.ozmodchips.com/, but as nitestalkr said b4, there are no mods for the PS3 yet, mainly due to the fact that BR have several different copy protection mechanisms. & since PS3 have no game region, its gonna hard for mod makers to find a "reason" to get them to be legal, as for other consoles the main "reason" was to play game from another region. But we all know, what the true use of a mod is
22. My plates arrived today, theres a saving of $3
23. http://www.cyb3rglitch.com/Overclock-CPUs-...-&-RAM.html Basically, your effective clock speed is determined by your FSB (front side bus) x mulitper (which is fixed on all but the intel extreme edition CPUs & the AMD black editions). The intel's uses a quad pumped FSB, the real FSB is for the E8xxxs are 1333/4 ~ 333mhz, so your E8400's 3ghz speed comes from 333mhz x 9 (the E8400's mulitper) ~ 3ghz So basic overclocking is just to increase your FSB to get to the effective clock speed you want. So if you want a speed of 3.4ghz, you would increase your FSB to 378, which would get you 378x9~3400mhz. There are more to this (alot more...), like your FSB:DRAM ratio, your voltage setting, PCI-E clock speed setting, but for basic over clocking you usually don't need to touch them. The main thing to watch for those, is that as your FSB increases, your mobo will automatic also oc your ram speed to keep the preset FSB:DRAM in ratio, which is a main reason why people usually recommends good ram if you are ocing, however you can get away without ocing your ram by chaning the FSB:DRAM ratio (the DS3 has this feature). The other thing to note is, if you leave your voltages to auto, then your mobo will also increase them as you oc, this is NOT advised as increase in voltage will have a direct relationship with your cpu & other component temperature, the usual rule of thumb is, keep the voltage at stock & oc a little, then run a burn in test for a while & check for stability issues, only increase your voltages when you encounter problems during the burn in test. Lastly KEEP your PCI-E bus clock speed at 100Mhz (stock) at ALL TIMES, as the mobo will also sometime oc this as well if you leave it in auto mode & this is known to cause problems with various video cards. You can still OC your system, as the E8xxx are very good ocs even on stock cooling, you should be able to push your system to 3.4 - 3.6ghz easily depending on your mobo & ram.
24. Don't think I can Steering feels funny, as in the car doesn't turn left unless I do a full lock... the 1st tow driver guy who towed my car after the accident said something in the steering got bent... But more importantly, battery is dead due to it be stored @ Just Car's car yard for ~2wk now & I got no jumper cables atm. & everyone in the family is too lazy to go out & buy new ones . I probably would have picked a different panel shop if my car was still drivable, as insurance said I could choose a panel shop of my choice, but in the end I just chose to get it fixed in one of their authorised places, since that place allowed me to store the car there, while the other places all said, I need to take it there for a quote then take it back since they can't store it there Hopefully it will get fixed b4 the new semester of uni starts. & cheers to everyone for your support & info.
25. Where did you do your test? When I did my driving test (@ midland) the driving guy didn't even ask for a parallel park, only a reverse & another one where I got to choose (which I just did a simple straight in ) I'm still waiting for my green Ps, I'm not paying another $3...
