  1. I've got the next 2 days off and I'm going hard at my flares. The rear ones are going to be about 2 inches wider at the top once i've fibreglassed them. It may look a bit odd, but I'm just not prepared to cut into my arches at the mo. Maybe way down the track i'll order some more rear flares and do it all properly. i got offered some 15x8 mags today, they've got 235's on them, BUT he wants $1000 for them. The're off his 260z which he just sold. I've been told it'd be near impossible to find this size mag in 4 stud.
  2. Gazza, Steve at Maytech is selling a FJ20et for $1,650 if your interested.
  3. Harvo, what trims are you after exactly. Maybe able to help.
  4. Decided to go ahead with filling in some of the arch. I've fixed some light tin to the rear of the guard and I'll fibreglass over it. I'm still going to heat the arches and knock them out 20mm if possible." I just wanna get these guards on" Will post a pic soon.
  5. Noddle, there's nothing on my car saying 240k,and I don't refer to it as a 240K. To me that's the C110. Saying that I've driven into tyre, suspension, and automotive workshops and they've all refered to it as a 240K. I tell most people it's a C210 78 skyline, it's easier that way
  6. Yea Mr Camo, the guards fit neatly against the body contours and Racsovn that's exactly what I'd be doing along with lowered springs.I think I'll put the flares on the back burner till I have the money to mini tub it." Oh that's right , Mr Rud just gave me $2000. Convince my wife that half is mine and now only need $1000, Thinking eh!
  7. Does anyone know if the 240k coupe and the C210 coupe are the same in the rear wheel arch department. If so i'm probably going to have a go at following 240k convertibles procedure. It's just that when you look at how far up you need to cut. on the inside of the guard it looks like the skins are quite wide apart( at least 32mm).
  8. Thanks Nigel, I just got off that site and now I think I know what i'm going to have to do. PAY SOMEONE ELSE TO DO IT. I'm guessing you would have to take it to an engineer after to have it approved?
  9. As some of you would be aware, I recently purchased flares from Japan. There was a slight oversight on my behalf. The front ones fit nicely, and so do the rear, but I was,nt aware the rear one were made to suit a semi tubbed rear end. Your supposed to cut out your arches, I guess it makes sense as flared guareds are for putting bigger wheels under. Will cost $2000 to tub and then it must be approved by engineer, too much hassle. I think I might make extensions for the arch so that it covers the existing arch. I was going to bring a heavy duty hammer home from work an belt the crapper out of the arches, but on my coupe it's not exactly thin behind there, maybe lots of heat and accurate heavy handedness. Any ideas?
  10. Racsov, they were $510 delivered. Once sent they only took 4 days to arrive. These are made to order. When I asked Shigeo at Kamaeri about the air dam he told me he was having some made up so they'd be a shelf item, cost, about $600 delivered.
  11. Flares are now painted.Just got to attach the rubber strip, drill and screw. I hope it's that easy
  12. There's one for sale over here in the west ,2 door auto, gold in colour. It's in the quokka on line under skylines. Been there for a while and can't remember how much . 1500 I think. If it was manual It'd be gone by now
  13. Mastadd, are you using Kameari?
  14. My flared guards arrived today from Japan and and I must say I'm very happy with them. Not sure how I'm going to fix them to the car yet and I may paint them black, currently white. I just like that black against white look. Any suggestions?
  15. I've recently purchased some from Kameari in Japan for my C210. Cost $510 delivered, but don't expect them to arrive quickly. it's been a month since I paid for them and they still have'nt left Japan. I believe they make them on order. I'm sure the'll have them for your car also.
  16. Hi Mr Camo, I'll post up some more soon. I"ve just added some sporty mirrors to it kinda like the Jap ones you see. Mirrors attached half way down the gaurds. My flared gaurds I'm told by Kamaeri will be sent Thursday , so once they're on i'll post new pics. guess now I'll need wider rims. Money, money and more money.:P1000597.JPG]
  17. Hope you take plenty of pics of your car and all the others so us over here in the West can see the display.
  18. Yea harvo, door cards if you like, those bits that require you to remoe the arm rest and window winders etc. It really is east to take them off and undo the self tappers and if your painting your doors it saves masking inside.
  19. Harvo, it's not as daunting as you may think. I remember thinking the same thing prior to painting mine. Front pillar strips that curve towards the sill just unclip with a little bit of force. Under that from memory you can undo screws to release the piece that hugs the windscreen. Both front and rear top windsreen strips unclip, but be careful as the clips holding them can be rusted. These are screwed to the body. The door trims along the top can only be got to once you've removed the door skins. You'll find about 4 small self tappers holding this strip. If your lucky they won't be rusted out like mine were. The rear window trim is like the door trim, it has a series of self tappers that you can access once skin is removed. As for sill, I left it on and masked it along with the trim that follows on from the rear window trim. Hope this helps. just be patient with the strips that unclip, pry them gently as they can easily be bent out of shape.
  20. Does anyone know of any distinct markings or stampings that set apart the C210 manual gearbox? A while back i changed my coupe over to manual, taking all parts from a donor car including gearbox. Thing is, the stick feels further forward than my old car and I'm sure it's not as smooth. This feels very clicky, if you know what I mean. It's a 5 speed but I did have to drill out the housing holes ( the ones that marry up to the clutch housing studs) a bit to fit the L28. I remember changing out a gearbox in my old car, same L28 and the box was out of a spare c210 i had and it went in with ease. Any ideas?
  21. Finally I've ordered my flared gaurds. Cost, $520 dollars delivered. Hopefully they turn up next week. Will post a pic once attached. Brouhgt them off Kamaeri, must say a big thanks to Nismo for the link to Kamaeri.
  22. Is this possible buyer in W.A and is he buying it to do up or use for parts?
  23. What's your plan Mag86. I'm in W.A and I've been mulling the idea of purchasing this car over and over. Timing is the problem as I'm spending money on overriders($500) new leads $80 and would like to do suspension. I dont want any engine parts ,only rear end stuff ( disc brake set up) By the way what diff gearing do these cars have? Basically it has to be worth my while, it's also all the time it takes stripping out parts. Dodgsun, what condition are the springs and shocks, back and front, any idea?
  24. Broadband, with AAPT. Any suggestions on how to speed it up
