Thanks everyone for your remarks, sorry to hear people have had bad experiences. I've been there done that too. Had a guy in Kalgoorlie(when I lived there) charge me over $500 for weber tune and they were still CRAP, was I pissed. Anyway luck has it I've tracked down a guy called Daryll who once owned Automotive Tuning Centre in Welshpool. He used to service this car when it did sprints at Wanneroo and once a year I'd bring it to Perth for him to service it. He's retired but has kept all is equipment and is going to look at them next week. Yahoo, at least i know what I can expect. Nothing worse than going to pick up your car, they hand you the bill not looking for your facial expressions, inside your saying "what the f..."and you drive away feeling RIPPED OFF no wonder ya get busted for hoon driving 2 minutes later. Sorry officer, I was just venting my blow off valve before i exploded. Enough said I think. Lookout for my old skool dato once Woopass Wed starts up again as i intend to take it quite regularly. Just got to apply some decent paint.Chow.

I did everything by email. and the carpet arrived about 10 days later.Have'nt tried putting it in yet but it looks o.k but will require some cutting (holes). C110 or 240K carpets are there. You will ask for the 240K carpet. Cost 120.00 for the most basic, but It"ll do.

Thanks for your input, I have a 1978 Datsun Skyline that has a crate NISMO motor , L28 bored to 3.0L with triple 45mm webers and a 1/2 rally cam. Japanese intake manifold and jap extractors which may also be NISMO items. I'm just looking to get my triple webers tuned ,so there won't be many parts supplied, only labour and dyno time. Thanks Rick.

I've booked my car into RPW. Can anyone vouch for them being a decent automotive tuning centre? Would like to hear some genuine comments. Anyone one know some one who's had webers done there? Thanks Rick

Radiator Interchangability
passin ewe replied to coupe72001's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
Drew, I'm inclined to agree with blind elk regarding the inlet/outlet. Any way my bolting up holes are quite similar. Both radiators I have are different, according to the radiator guys one is a 6 cylinder holden and the other is V8 holden. both are from HQ to HX roughly but they both fit. You may have to redrill some hole, mine has a few different holes already. Both measure approx 68cm x50cm. Ricky -
Radiator Interchangability
passin ewe replied to coupe72001's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
Drew, I took one to a radiator place the other day to get flushed as I destroyed the one I had in the car when the fan flexed. The guy told me it was a V8 holden one. The stampings are as follows ADRAD 12 HOL 950 24102. bottom outlet is the same and for the top inlet you can get a hose to suit. This radiator was in the 4 door donor car I bought. This is about to have twin thermos attached then placed into my coupe. Hope this helps. Ricky -

Today I ordered a moulded carpet from Tru fit. I explained about the 240K and the C210 floor pan being similar as read in an article I recently read. A few hours later I got a call back from Tru fit, much appreciated, anyway the chap had gone out and compared the 2 moulds. the findings: Same dimensions, except for a small difference around where the front seats bolt in, and a few cut aways ( holes). He confirmed that the 78-81 skyline mould had C210 on it. Price deliverd to W.A $138. Pretty good price. Will let you know just how good it is when I've toiled with it.

Classic Skylines Needs Its Own Classifieds
passin ewe replied to D-limo's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
So who do we speak to , to organise this classic parts section or are they always watching. It is a good Idea. People who are wrecking these cars will get more for the parts via this site than they will just flogging it of as a whole wreck,(I'm guessing).Best of all we get to hear about these parts with the opportunity to buy them.We could even swap parts. I've got a few bits and more bits all bagged up. -
The Old And The Newish
passin ewe replied to passin ewe's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
Yea I have to agree Alanwd. My 4 door was a wicked toy on the road. I've put electric pump in as I've got a 280z motor and triple 45 webwers on my coupe. The condition is average to good, but at some point I'll spend money on the body. For now I just want to go racing so a quick coat of paint is all that's instore at the mo. -
I'm now looking to upgrade my brake system on my C210. Would like as much info as possible.I've heard some 280zx parts fit. I'd like to keep the original diff set up if possible. Thanks Ricky.

Garnish - Same For C210 Vs C211 Hotplates?
passin ewe replied to coupe72001's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
Yep, I had to do exactly the same thing with the hacksaw. I think that's the only solution. If you find another alternative, be sure to let us know. Rick -
Bought a motoring mag of EBAY, of course it had info about C210"s. It states that the C210 and 240k share the same floor pan. This was something I was wondering about a month ago due to recarpeting. just thouhgt I'd share this snippet of info.

Will there be a video made of it? would be interested in a purchase. It is a long hall from W.A especially running triple webbers

passin ewe replied to passin ewe's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
Yea I agree about the lights and I've actually changed mine to the cooktop type as you can see if you look closely at my main page pics. Ricky -
The orange 4 door I owned 6 years ago, the 2 door is my current restoration. Same motor in the 2 door as was in the 4 door. L28 bored to 3.0L. N42 head and block, some japanese inlet manifold match ported to triple 45 webers

Is This Needed And What's It Called
passin ewe replied to passin ewe's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
yea Nigel ,that sums it up nicely, and confirms that I can do away with it providing the tank can still breathe. The crankcase now has a breather on it and I don't have the carb/ air filter anymore as I've got my webers. Again thanks for such concise info, and what manuual is the info from? -

Three hoses attach to this, is it required and what 3 hoses are attached to it.Would luv too piss it off. Secondly ,this is my new motor in C210. L28 and triple 45's. Thirdly ,the other post was a hit and miss trial, but hey, I got the pics up after about 40 min of stuffing around.

I recently wrecked a C210, it had an electric fuel pump in good working order. It's a Jidoshakiki cylindrical pump attached to mounting.(mounted under the car) Does anyone know any stats on these. For example what psi they run at, and what is peak fuel delivery, Litres per hour. I'm wonderin if I could use it in conjunction with my 3x webbers. Cheers
