C210 Coupe For Sale On Ebay
passin ewe replied to NightMonkeyII's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
Thought I'd wade in on this as well as your mostly well aware that I transplanted the L6 for 308 and with no regret. I love 8's, speed, the gruff V8 sound and of course the uniqueness of the C210 Coupe. In my eyes it's everything that i want, and try buying an Aussie 2 door coupe with V8 slotted, you'd be in for a small fortune. Should I ever want to return it to al'natural, it'd be so easy as hardly anything was changed. even the speedo cable slotted into the supra ( W58) box. Mine is engineered with original brakes and around town in normal driving they work fine, but even the 308 only weighed about 30kg more. My weigh bridge numbers with 1/4 tank of fuel was 1273. My best time down the 1\4 mile was 15.8 ( L6, triple 45 webers, mild cam and tuned length zorst). I'm very confident after running a few times down the 1\4 unclocked as it was at a car show, the datto will be in the 14's and this will improve with mods to come. During the course of those runs down the 1\4 the brakes worked fine , but my brakes all round were renewed for engineering. The response I get is mixed according to what people drive, but the majority use words such as " sick" awsome and man that looks like a factory fit. As for the ali 76 motor, warps is totally on it. I had a few mates back in NZ that used the Leyland motor in a variety of vehicles and I think some of the Aus Z car fraternity have used them. at the end of the day it's about what you want and what gives you the most pleasure. So long as it's old school, it's cool. I f that coupe had been here in WA I would have pounced on it, shame it was'nt. -
I require a rear view mirror, but will need it posted to WA

Is there any chance of knowing the exact name of the location and time it is kicking off ? I've been south to long obviously and av'nt got a clue where your on about. Excuse my ignorance.

C210 Coupe A'la Rally Model
passin ewe replied to passin ewe's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
Thanks for that feed back Matty, 10kg sounds pretty good. -
Yeah my L28 bored to 3.0L with triple webers was a N42/N42 and that was all put together in Japan. They no what they are doing over there, as that motor was incredibily reliable even after 10 years of being flogged.

C210 Coupe A'la Rally Model

And it's got rally type seats, probably ripped and soiled. Especially the passengers one LOL. I'd like to know if they've used the original rails to suit the after market seats. Them I would def buy. Has anyone done a after market seat change retaining the original rails? I remember this question being asked before but saw no real outcome. I'm keen to get rid of my 65 kilo worth of seat and transplant. -
http://www.sportsclassic.com.au/ Go to Nissan and scroll down to C210. I inquired about the side windows, price was $400 plus shipping to WA. Yep but no thanks. Apparently some mug offered him $2200 without motor and box, I'm sure it was no one from this site. Not when there's two for sale for about 1.5 grand more. Still, If i were in NSW I'd probably purchase the boot and bonnet. Nice little wheels on it. If some one does decide to purchase it for stripping and on selling let me know. If you can get it for a $800 it would be worth the effort to part out MAYBE

I wonder if he purchased those tail lights for 1200, maybe with the GTR badge makes them more sought after. Is the dino he speaks of, a type of prehistoric dyno the flinstones used,110 yabbadabbadoos. Just thought it was my turn to have a little dig. LOL. Would be a good buy at no more than $4500. Is the interior fawn or black? Hey Socrates, I hope that cruise isn't on the 27th March as I'm going to Jimmy Barnes that day.

Hi all, got my car back from engine builder the other day. I now have the heavily ported Brock heads, Edlebrock Performer manifold and a H226 crane cam that makes the car sound like a drag car. I'm very pleased with the outcome as it's still very streetable and it revs nicely with those Yella Terra roller rockers. The heads had to be shaved 100 thou to get compression up as the bottom end is stock 308. in time I'll rebuild it with flat tops and get comp up to about 10;1. Feel like I should be writing this on Aussie V8 website. I'm going to do another vid for utube soon if anyone interested. -
Yeah alright, I'll look after the freight expense Dennis, knowing you got those tyres for "next to nothing" makes me feel all the better about the aquisition. You being the fair sorta bloke you are I'm sure you'll pass on the good fortune that you encountered with these tyres. LOL, I'm not in dire need of them. If you decide they're in the way after you've tripped over them a dozen times, let me know and we'll see what develops. Cheers Ricky

Hey Dennis, if your looking to off load those 245's at any time give me a bell. Although I was hoping to get a shit pair before our major car show here in WA which is in mid JAN. I want them to destroy. I run that size at the mo but don't want to inihalate these ones. You could send them with the badges.

Hey Chris, I don't happen to have your old coupe do I. Mine was a yellow one once. It came with the big workshop manual and it had been traded in by some people from down my way, Rockingham or Port Kennedy erea. Maybe you had it before them. Do you remember the plate number? -

Harvooo your Coupe de green machine is looking way to fine. That colour has come up a treat and those mags do it much justice, are they a 70's cheviot wheel. They remindinded me of a mates 307 chev powered escort back home in Nu Zuland. What have you ended up with under the bonnet your so keen to show off? -
I would happily trade my 210 for C130 anyday. Personally I reckon they are sweet, nice curves, back end looks tough and they've got a lot of that 70s' Yankeeness to them. I actually thought it was a Yankee muscle car when I first laid eyes on it in Yahoo Cars. Prices aren't cheap though, I think the one I saw was about 30g and that wasn't delivered price.
-
Yeah I was wonderin if they'd turn up soon. You could wrap them in chrissy paper and send them to me for Christmas, maybe I'll just wait for a cold snap. You do like the cold don't you or is it really true, you dislike everything LOL

Perhaps we should have a "Cage" forum, you know like a cyber cage fight. If people are having their differences they can take their angst and aggressions to the "Cage" where they can buckle each others bumpers, and snap each others wiper blades. Maybe as onlookers we could score and rate each attack. but strickly no comments. I'd better get a patent on this, I can hear your distorted minds thinking he's onto something big here. This is just my opinion, please don't attack me.
